SCP-XXXX when it was first discovered by the foundation.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 6” by 1’6” by 10” soundproof lead lock-box fitted with resilient sound channels to be replaced every 2 weeks, it is to be kept at Site ██. The key to the container must be kept by Class-4 personnel or higher. Neither the lockbox nor SCP-XXXX-1 shall be interacted with by personnel under class 3. No electrical objects are allowed within 40 meters of SCP-XXXX. Personnel must wear sound-cancelling earmuffs when opening SCP-XXXX-1’s container for testing, all other personnel in the area must be made aware of this. If unequipped personnel come into contact with SCP-XXXX-2 then they must be quarantined and interviewed daily for side effects for at least 5 days.
Description: SCP-XXXX-1 has the appearance of a dark bluish black 4”x 4”x 4” sold plastic cube with 2 metal cylindrical rods protruding from either side of the box, both of which were black. It appears to be sentient, but it can only emit quiet speaking as responses. The exact origin of SCP-XXXX is unknown but is theorized by many personnel to be [DATA EXPUNGED]. The most potent effect of the box is known as SCP-XXXX-2, it is a thunderous noise produced by turning the rods more than 30 degrees counterclockwise or clockwise each, the subject becomes instantaneously unconscious before a non-humanoid biped creature, pitch black and slimy with no visible orifices, SCP-XXXX-3, exits SCP-XXXX-1 through the top and stuffs the now unconscious subject into the box, usually accidentally tearing them open, spilling bodily fluids and organs. SCP-XXXX-3 then climbs back inside the top of SCP-XXXX-1, squeezing and compacting it's body in a grotesque fashion. This seems to be a self defense mechanism as the box may hold something important. SCP-XXXX does not allow air inside of the box, meaning all air is compressed out of the victim upon entry, usually violently.
Addendum: The subject is never seen again, except for one instance, when the Class-D, D-32054, is connected to a cable before it takes him away, not dismembering him. Once he is compacted and is holdinside the box, SCP-XXXX-3 attempts to close the top of SCP-XXXX-1, but fails to due to the cable. However, after exactly ten attempts, SCP-XXXX-3 stops, and the cord is pulled over 1000 meters down as the creature instantly dissolves, it requires 2 days to retrieve D-32054, when the subject is found expired before retrieval due to asphyxiation. Further experimentation reveals that SCP-XXXX does not leave behind any trace of the subject, however, many clothing samples were recovered off of D-32054's corpe
Top: The top of SCP-XXXX-1 could only be opened through experimentation with [REDACTED]. The incident caused the casualties of the 17 personnel involved, but caused no damage to any object involved in the incident.
Electronics: Testing proves any electronics within 40 meters of SCP-XXXX-1 are disintegrated along with any organic material in contact with the electronic device, device may not be operational to be disintegrated, and testing shows the effect works on almost no SCPs. Tests were immediately conducted on other SCPs in contact with electronics to try to neutralize them, however, these experiments tested negative.
Addendum A: Scientist’s attempt to talk with it have mostly failed, as no answers have been procured, however, SCP-XXXX-1 seems aware of all things said to it, however, the interviews have been discontinued as it takes many weeks to achieve responses and all interviews have achieved no answers as of and before this incident, this was achieved due to starving the box for 1 year. The voice has been described by the interviewer as: "Quiet and Powerful." This interview was taken on November 8th, 2005. The questions asked to SCP-XXXX-1 by Dr. ██████ were:
Addendum B: Side effects are found in all individuals who are not wearing earmuffs have side effects in a 160 meter radius, the janitorial personnel exposed to the sound will always be interviewed for side effects by Dr. ██████. An average personnel interview from from Mr. ██████ is as follows:
Our experiments state that most side effects last for 5 or 6 days, always with the ears ringing for almost exactly 4 days, and the fever is a side effect that happens every time. The noise seems to affect everyone who hears it with a kind of illness, the sound causes blackouts up extremely close, thus explaining the unconsciousness of the subject, this most likely happens to assist SCP-XXXX-3 in capturing him.
History: SCP-XXXX was first discovered in an abandoned house in 2003 rural France by a Burglar attempting to thieve the house, he found everything in one half of in inch of dust, and the home completely empty. He found the lights nor water worked, and SCP-XXXX was found alone on a table in the house, along with a wallet on the couch which contained the license of a Caucasian male named Willard McGrath. The burglar was seen by a passerby and police were immediately notified. A police officer noticed the anomalous properties and contact the foundation, who now have in contained. (see Addendum C) Thorough investigation reveals mass use of the lid on the box from 1908-2001 with an estimate of [REDACTED] victims.
Addendum C: in 20██, on the ██th of February, A containment breach occurred named Incident-12a. In this breach agents of the Chaos Insurgency broke into the chamber of SCP-XXXX while no personnel were around, breaking into the lockbox and taking SCP-XXXX from the inside. SCP-XXXX's chambers were found with a Chaos Insurgency glove and helmet on the ground, the information sheet was not touched. SCP-XXXX is still missing.
