Special Containment Procedures: SCP-6000 should be kept hidden from sight at all costs until further details of its effects are understood. Materials used for containment of this SCP can vary depending on budget, since the effects are so far, only triggered when it has been seen, blocking it from sight is all that is required.
Description: SCP-6000 looks like a vintage doll made out of plastic with light blue dress, light blue eyes, brown shoes, white socks, blonde hair and an strange red inscription seemingly in English, only backwards and mirrored under its chin.
The effects of this SCP can only and will only be felt when the person exposed to it has tried to read the inscription and has later gone to sleep and reached REM cycle of sleep.
During sleep this doll will appear in dreams as a live little girl with an abnormally small frame compared to its head. Its face will be covered in acne, but otherwise SCP-6000 will seem to be a girl about 10 years old.
All encounters with it start the same way in dreams, victims will first hear a crying little girl, the crying won't stop until the girl is visualized in dreams, at this stage, crying will stop and the SCP will evoke feelings of empathy towards it, making the victim get closer and attempt to comfort her, once the victim is close enough to read the inscription, he/she will discover the inscription is carved into the little girls skin directly as small bleeding cuts. As soon as the dreamer attempts to read the inscription an irresistible urge to pull the girls hair upwards will take over, the dreamer will no longer be in control of the dream and the little girl will start crying louder and in terror. All attempts to wake up will be futile and instead the dreamer will pull the hair with increasing force until the skin starts to separate from the head and with this, the little girl's face will be deformed.
All victims report the dream has ended when the skin has been pulled up hard enough for the inscription to be readable at the mouth level, at which point the girl will always be crying incredible loudly in pain and terror, blood coming out of her ears and eye sockets which will be no longer visible. Nobody knows what the inscription actually says yet.
Upon waking up the dream cannot be forgotten and victims will continue to dream about torturing this little girl in the same way for a week, however during this time the mental health of the victim will deteriorate rapidly leading eventually to dementia, paranoia, psicosis and suicide by any means available. All victims have reported feeling an unbearable guilt for torturing this little girl.
Treatment to save the last 3 victims included attempts to make them forget using hypnosis, make them sleep with heavy medication, interrupting sleep, waking them up and tying them up. The 7th day however, even the last victim which was completely immobilized and sedated, died of a heart attack whilst crying loudly presumably out of stress and extreme guilt.
All victims have reported listening to the little girl crying even while awake after the third day.
However, as horrific as it seems, SCP-6000 has no effects on people who look at the doll with no interest so it has been hypothesized only people who find a connection with the doll, strong enough to make them want to read the inscription are affected, but because the formation of an emotional connection cannot be controlled, the doll has been locked away and remains out of sight until further notice.
