SCP-XXXX
Item Class: Safe (Euclid Classification Pending)
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be monitored via mobile research post-234. Any signifigant changes in SCP-XXXX’s pattern should be brought to project lead Dr. E. Wiggins. Flamethrowers able to create a fire with temperature of 1000°C are to be mounted in the four corners of SCP-XXXX and can be activated with level 3 clearance class (see addendum 1). All school alumni and former staff are to be monitored and families of those affected by SCP-XXXX are to be administered class B amnestics.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a theater at the former ███████ High School in the style of a standard thrust stage. The stage is wooden and lowered into the floor to accommodate for sightlines. 230 metal folding chairs with padded seats and backrests are placed around the stage on raised platforms. Posters on the North and South wall hold plaques and posters from previous shows. Any attempt to remove any of these items has met with failure, as they return back to SCP-XXXX within the following 24 hour period by an unknown method. A poster outside SCP-XXXX labels it as the badger den, an apparent nickname for the location when the school was open and reference to the school’s mascot. SCP-XXXX displays three phases of anomalous properties over the course of one month beginning on the 1st, 20th, 27th, and 28th of every month.
During the first phase over the course of 20 days the room is decorated with sets relating to a play, musical or opera. How SCP-XXXX choses which performance to create props for is currently unknown. Video footage of SCP-XXXX shows that sets appear from an unknown source when SCP-XXXX is not being actively observed. Stage sets and props are constructed of cheap and simple materials such as cardboard, wood, wire mesh and etc. Under close scrutiny most set pieces look unrealistic.
Following the completion of the set the second phase begins. Posters advertising the performance are found in all five major hallways of ███████ High School place there by an unknown method. Posters typically include a graphic relating to the performances plot, name of the director, and always include the following phrase, “One night performance on the 27th at 7:00pm at the badger den to raise funds for our theater department. Show some badger pride!” Whomever has been named as the director of the performance has always been a member of staff at ███████ High School worked within the campus limits (see addendum 2) regardless of their relation to the theater department, job type, or time period they worked for the school. The appearance of these posters directly correlate with the disappearance of whomever is named as the director hereby known as SCP-XXXX-1. No evidence has been found in any instance to indicate what method the disappearance.
The third and final phase begins on the 27th at 6:30. During this phase any attempt to enter or add any matter to the stage area in SCP-XXXX has met with failure (with the exception of objects with the biological structure of roses, and SCP-XXXX-1). SCP-XXXX-1 appears outside SCP-XXXX and in an apperant attempt sell tickets for the performance with no apparent memory of their life after leaving ███████ High School. The appearance of SCP-XXXX-1 more closely resembles how they looked during their time at the school than their last known appearance. SCP-XXXX-1 appears in all cases to look dazed and when questioned about this they say that they got little sleep over the course of the last week preparing for the show. Questioning SCP-XXXX-1 has had varying levels of success however in most cases they politely ask to refrain from questions until after the performance is over. At precisely 7:00 house lights inside SCP-XXXX dim and SCP-XXXX-1 moves onto the stage and thanks everyone for coming. It should be noted that performances in SCP-XXXX will begin regardless of whether there is an audience. Then SCP-XXXX-1 sits in a reserved seat on the first row.
Whomever the main character is in the particular performance is portrayed by a former student of ███████ High School and enters stage with costumes appropriate for the character they portray. The beginning of the performance directly correlates with the disappearance of that individual, hereby known as SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-2 appears to be the only character who does not understand where they are or what they are doing there. All attempts made by SCP-XXXX-2 to exit SCP-XXXX have met with failure, however communication can be made with audience members. All other characters are portrayed by instances of SCP-XXXX-3, who are former instances of SCP-XXXX-2. Instances of SCP-XXXX-3 however appear to think they are the character they portray despite all attempts to prove otherwise. Instances of SCP-XXXX-3 will stay to the script of whatever performance they are using until SCP-XXXX-2 says or does something that causes them to act off script. SCP-XXXX-3 instances react to SCP-XXXX-2 as if they are the character they portray despite any attempts to prove to them otherwise. Instances of SCP-XXXX-3 improvise new lines of dialogue and blocking relating to what SCP-XXXX-2 is doing following the proper narrative structure, tone, and writing style of the original performance.
During whatever the climax is of the performance a malfunction will occur in some part of the special effects. This will cause a fire that spreads quickly across the flammable set pieces and wooden stage. SCP-XXXX-1 will then enter the stage in a panic attempting to stop the fire from spreading however their efforts have never made any significant effect on stopping the spread of the fire. SCP-XXXX-3 continue performing their respective parts until they are unable to do so. In all cases SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX-2 and all instances of SCP-XXXX-3 have been terminated via incineration. Flames envelop SCP-XXXX however have never spread past it’s confines. The fire continues burning until 12:43pm the next day at which point the fir runs out of fuel and dies.
Phase four begins when the fire dies, repairing all fire damage via an unknown method. These repairs finish just before phase one begins once more on the 1st of the month.
SCP-XXXX was discovered when reports were made to the ███████ Police Department about a series of disappearances centered around ███████ High School Alumni. A sleeper agent monitoring police activity informed the foundation of these events and all officers involved on the case were given class B amnestics.
The ███████ High School closed after a fire on 04/28/19██ during an evening performance of a Midsummers Night Dream causing ██ deaths. Lawsuits, damages and lack of funding caused the school to close soon after this event. According to the ███████ Fire Department cause of the fire was found to be a fault in the smoke machine causing flammable stage props and curtains to catch fire.
Addendum 1: Incident XXXX-32
08/06/███: SCP-XXXX is in the process of creating a set for a new performance. In 6 days sets and props related to SCP-701 are in the process of being produced. Due to a possible cross contamination between SCP-701 and SCP-XXXX, MTF Psi-11 (Demolition Crew)have been deployed.
08/17/███: All attempts made by MTF Psi-11 to sabotage SCP-XXXX to sabotage this performance of SCP-701 have met with failure. Although sets and props are easily destroyed, newly created versions of destroyed items appear in SCP-XXXX in a similar matter as if they are removed from SCP-XXXX.
08/20/███: Phase two has begun as expected. Posters created using SCP-XXXX’s secondary effect confirm suspicions that SCP-XXXX is creating a performance of The Hanged King’s Tragedy. The Director Name was Mrs. H█████ M█████ a substitute teacher who worked briefly for the █████ School District during 19██. MTF Psi-11 have yet to be able to make any progress on sabotaging the performance.
08/26/███: Attempts made by MTF Psi-11 are a success. By creating a flame with temperatures approximately 1100°C all objects within SCP-XXXX were incinerated. This appears to have reset SCP-XXXX to phase four. To date, this appears to be the only way to destroy objects within SCP-XXXX permanently. MTF Psi-11 is released from active duty.
08/27/███: A typed note with centered text appeared on the door of SCP-XXXX at 6:30pm. The text read the following:

Unfortunately due to unprecedented vandalism and theft, Our performance of The Hanged King’s Tragedy is cancelled. We all worked hard rehearsing and practicing so it is hard to have to cancel it but we do not have time or funds to recreate stolen and vandalized sets. If anyone has any information concerning the culprit of this blatant attack on our school’s theater department, please let me know.
Eternally Sorry
-Mrs. H█████ M█████

This is the first time communication has been made with SCP-XXXX-1 instances without their presence. Research is pending related to making contact with instances of SCP-XXXX-1 via written communication.
Addendum 2: Incident XXXX-37
01/12/███: Foundation symbols and insignia have appeared on set pieces within SCP-XXXX. It is unknown the significance of these symbols or the performance being produced.
01/18/███: Some sets, in their nearly finished states, resemble standard humanoid containment cells utilized by the foundation. The name and purpose of the performance remains unknown.
01/20/███: Mobile research post-234 leader, Dr. ████ ██████, has gone missing with no known methods of disappearance. SCP-XXXX has entered its second stage. Posters advertise a musical titled “Welcome to the Ethics Committee” and illustrations of several anomalous objects under foundation control are pictured. The poster also names Dr. ████ ██████ as the director. No such musical has ever been performed by the foundation, according to our records, and no previous events performed by SCP-XXXX have created its own original performance. Results pending for possible information breaches that would result in this musical being performed to the public.
01/27/███ : SCP-XXXX-1 (formerly known as Dr. ████ ██████) appeared and acted according to previous tests results. However etched in her skin on her arms and legs are writing, appearing to be self inflicted. Below is a record of what was recorded

All attempts to escape this void are met with failure.
I also seem to be losing my memory.
This method appears to be similar to class B amnestics.
I hear songs in my head
they appear to be show tunes, though i have never heard them before.
It is so hot here, and the songs are stuck in my head
The songs burn
I can't get them out
They are getting louder
help
help me
i am burning

Questioning SCP-XXXX-1 about these markings made her visabley confused, though she mumbled that she got them as tattoos when she was young. SCP-XXXX-1 then insisted that the researchers take a seat in SCP-XXXX.
The performance follows a young girl who, demonstrating anomalous abilities, is taken into the foundation. The girl is then subjected to rigorous testing, and is held in containment. During a scene featuring a containment breach at the facility holding her, a spark caught from a lighting element in the ceiling of SCP-XXXX. All researchers then escaped SCP-XXXX successfully. It should be noted that no instance of SCP-XXXX-2 appeared in this production.
01/28/███: A message scrawled in the ashes of SCP-XXXX was found and recorded before SCP-XXXX had its effects take place:

you’ll burn too
