Item #: SCP - XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures:
Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX-1 and its relation with SCP-XXXX-2, it is effectively uncontainable. It is the responsibility of Mobile Task Force Zeta-4 “Mudmen” to prevent SCP-XXXX-1 appearances by any means necessary.
Description:
SCP-XXXX-1 is a Gaea-class nonphysical humanoid, approximately 300 centimetres tall and extremely hostile. SCP-XXXX-1 only materialises when individuals enter a 5 metre perimeter from the defined ‘marsh’ or entry point, and will always appear underneath or next to the closest individual. During this event, SCP-XXXX-1 becomes tangible, it’s body comprising of a thick layer of the material ‘surfaced’ through, (e.g. mud, soil, grass). The only elements not composed of ‘marsh’ material are 86 keratin teeth, each 3cm long. SCP-XXXX-1 uses these teeth to consume flesh, tearing away portions of the body for swallowing. SCP-XXXX-1 will attempt to incapacitate individuals if multiple are present, and then consume each individual. SCP-XXXX-1 can only consume a certain amount before it is ‘full’, after which it will descend into SCP-XXXX-2 with any remains of the individual(s) attacked, for storage and later consumption. SCP-XXXX-1 is not agile or fast, but due to the dense material it is comprised of, it demonstrates great physical strength. Massive physical damage towards SCP-XXXX-1 encourages re-entry to SCP-XXXX-2.
SCP-XXXX-2 is believed to be a pocket dimension, accessible by SCP-XXXX-1 through areas of marshland and similar wetland areas. Information concerning SCP-XXXX-2 is very limited, as exploration is impossible. It is believed that SCP-XXXX-2 acts as both a storage unit, origin, home, and mode of transport for SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-2 is inaccessible to entities other than SCP-XXXX-1, and it’s prey items. SCP-XXXX-1 can access any area of wetland or marsh through SCP-XXXX-2.
Addendum 01: Discovery
SCP-XXXX came to Foundation attention after 7 missing persons cases in and around [REDACTED], England. MTF Theta-4 (“Gardeners”) was subsequently deployed, and were effective at locating anomaly. SCP-XXXX relocated, and was designated ‘Keter’. MTF Zeta-4 (“Mudmen”) was formed to deal with this new threat. MTF Zeta-4 have prevented 23 SCP-XXXX-1 materialisations within heavily populated areas to date.
