Special Containment procedures: While SCP-3482 has been designated safe for the user, the application of SCP-3482 for less then ethical needs is a risk and is not to be taken lightly. Current containment protocol as designated by the O5 Council is to have SCP-3482 stored in a secure vault at Site-19’s High Value Storage Facility. Three guards from Mobile Task Force Ne-62 (“Nerds”) are to guard the vault at all times. Standard positive-action defenses (explosive, chemical, biological, and memetic) are in place around the vault and Non-standard defenses are implemented when SCP-3482 is away from the vault. Placement of the guards and there rotation is [REDACTED]and extra personnel will immediately be furnished upon request. Under no circumstance is there to be any fewer than three guards present at any moment and all research personnel are to have a separate guard with them at all times while interacting with SCP-3482. At no time are any D-class personnel to come in contact with SCP-3482 or approach the the containment area. All persons attempting to approach the containment area with out the requisite accompanying guard will be shot without warning.
If at any point this security becomes compromised SCP-3482 is to be entrusted to Dr. [redacted] and MTF Ne-62 operator [redacted] who will escort SCP-3482 to [redacted] AZ, Sector [redacted]. If at any point along the road SCP-3482 can no longer be safely transported it is to be terminated along with Dr. [redacted] and MTF Ne-62 operator [redacted].
Description: SCP-3482 is the designation for a pair of reading glasses discovered in 1947 by Dr. Ricen Heardbach of Sweden while pursuing an outdoor market. When worn SCP-3482 gives the wearer the ability to locate and find any item in existence including other SCPs. However the user must have already come in to contact with the item or something very similar to the item they are searching for. Through much rigorous testing Dr. [redacted] as able to locate a bowl of fruit hidden in the facility after only having come into contact with a picture of the bowl.
Because SCP-3482 resembles a pair of Reading glasses the user dose not need to worry about wearing SCP-3482 in public. However it is to be noted that when searching for an item with SCP-3482 the user should be careful to not attract attention by entering unauthorized areas in public view.
Experiments:

Lead Researcher: Dr. Harris.
Objective: locate Dr. Harris’ keys which have been hidden in the opposite end of the facility in Area 24 Room 6.
Methods: Dr. Harris will utilize SCP-3673 to help lead him to the exact area where his keys have been hidden.
Conclusion: Upon commencing the experiment Dr. Harris informed his staff to follow him. He lead them to Area 24 but stopped when confronted with the decision of choosing which room to enter. After 5 minutes De. Harris informed his staff he did not know where to look next. Dr. Harris removed and then replaced SCP-3673 and and again tried to choose a room. Again being unable to chose a room with confidence he concluded the experiment and returned SCP-3673 to containment.
Notes: As the final objective was not obtained this test has been deemed a failure and further testing is underway.

It is currently unknown how SCP-3482 communicates, influences, drives or enables the user to find the item they are looking for. Further testing is still underway.
