Special Containment Procedures: As of now, SCP-4287 is to be kept in its original building area in Site——. A secondary elevator to the light containment zone is to
be operative at all times. SCP-4287 is to be properly labeled and warning signs and symbols are to be placed in front of its entrance.
A separate keycard door is to separate the entrance zone from SCP-4287. SCP-4287 is only to be used for research purposes. Transit between the entrance zone and the
light containment zone via SCP-4287 is strictly forbidden.
Description: At first glance and usage, SCP-4287 appears to be a regular old elevator 3m wide, 3m long and 4m high. It has two options: The top button labeled '1'
brings the elevator to the entrance zone of Site—— and the button labeled '0' brings the elevator to the light containment zone entrance. Subjects that enter SCP-4287
show no irregular physical or mental effects at first. However, given subjects often are recorded to disappear and re-appear in SCP-4287, commencing teleportation. Whether
or not SCP-4287's effects are random is as of yet unknown. Subjects that have entered SCP-4287 do tend to, however, disappear suddenly in dangerous situations. The reason
for this is not known as of now. After commencing teleportation, subjects do not show any irregular physical or mental effects except discoordination and confusion.
Appendix 1: Circumstances of Acquisition: SCP-4287 was built during the creation of Site——. No irregular effects from the elevator were shown until after a month of the
site's functioning. From then, the elevator was shut down from regular usage.
