#19937

This is my plan for an scp, clearly. If anyone sees anythig that's clearly wrong or that needs fixing, please let me know. This is the first draft, and my first attempt at this, so please be gentle

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Elucid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 5 meter x 5 meter x 5 meter cell. When SCP-XXXX is to be interacted with, personnel are to wear a hazmat suit of level B or higher.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a parasite known to affect creatures of the Family Cervidae (Deer) in southern Canada and Northern North America. Subjects affected with SCP-XXXX go through 4 known stages of infection.

1. The infected subjects antlers, if present, fall off, similar to seasonal shedding. Subjects reaction times are slowed, become unintrested in the opposite sex, and spend much of their time asleep. (4-

10 days after initial infection)

2. Small, Fleshy protrusions begin to grow from the head of the subject, where the antlers usually grow from. The infected subject shows many symptoms similar to rabies. i.e. aggression, loss of balance, swelling, etc. (25-35 days after initial infection)

3. The fleshy protrusions are now recognizable as human-like arms. They are about 0.5 meters long, and able to move of their own volition. The affected creature begins to eat excessively, much like a bear before hibernation. (70-90 days after initial infection)

4. The arms are 2 meters long, and completely independent of the host, which by now is brain dead.(200-250 days after initial infection)

Fully infected subjects are only able to move by dragging around the deer carcass with the arm-like protrusions from the head up to 10 mph. To eat, SCP-XXXX acts as an ambush predator, waiting for small animals (squirrels, birds, mice, etc.) to come near, then grabbing them. The parasite relies on the now dead host for basic digestion and energy needs. The deer jaws are unable to move at this point, so the arms rip the prey into small pieces and put them in the deer's mouth, then moving the jaw up and down manually to chew and then forcing the food down the animals throat. The digestive system is the only unaffected system in the deer's body, so once the esophagus takes hold of the food, digestion goes on as usual.

To reproduce, the parasite gives off a mixture of compounds that attract male deer and that calm nearby deer. This makes infection of new hosts much easier. Once a host has been captured, SCP-XXXX will detach from the old hosts head, before placing small egg sacks in the unconscious deers mouth and ears. The young SCP-XXXXs will then hatch and enter the new host. The parent SCP-XXXX then dies of malnutrition within the next few hours.

(Intelligence of a 12 year old human, can move at 10 mph.)
