Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a room in Site 19 that includes a bed, a table with chairs, bookcase, and working sink. Due to SCP-XXXX's behavior, it may roam the facility under the same jurisdictions as Level 2 Personal. However, it must stay inside it's containment cell between the times of 12:50 and 6:30 A.M. and if there is a lockdown. All personal are allowed in the site for testing, cleaning, or if on break. SCP-XXXX must NEVER walk outside the facility for it's own safety.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a sentient robot that is roughly the same size as an adult human. It has a torn, white, button-up shirt. It's body is mainly made from plastic, metal, and some paint stains. SCP-XXXX appears similar to an android, but with a few key differences:

1. The face of SCP-XXXX is completely clawed away, and in its place is a mask of what appears to be a blue cat.
2. SCP-XXXX is sentient. Unlike androids, who only live out orders, he also appears distressed or worried.
3. SCP-XXXX has sentience, but it is definitely not human due to the metal plating that it's covered in.

SCP-XXXX'S behavior can be described as a friendly, helpful, and non-hostile. He offer to help out with odd jobs around the facility. (Such as doing inventory on med-kits in the site) THIS DOES NOT MEAN SCP-XXXX IS YOUR WAY OF GETTING OF OF WORK. So if you're thinking of handing it your Keter duty, consider your pay docked.

SCP-XXXX was originally found in a forested area near Los Angeles on █/█/████. Originally found by Field Agent Joseph, SCP-XXXX was then captured by Containment Specialists Zachary and Mary. When found, SCP-XXXX was in a what appeared to be a state of distress. It kept saying how "they" would find it, and it was also begging us to just lock It up so it would be safe. SCP-XXXX also had blueprints of his design. He was a prototype, but we couldn't track down who made him as the blueprints had be torn.

There was, however, a readable sticky note attached to the blueprints. It stated, "If this "thing" leaves the area, get it back immediately. We can't have people knowing the truth."

We never found out who wrote that note, but it is believed to be the creator of SCP-XXXX. Anytime we tried to ask SCP-XXXX who created him, it would always respond with, "A man that might as well be a demon." We recommend not to ask SCP-XXXX the question of his creator as it could trigger emotional distress and get us nowhere.

Addendum 1: As many of you are aware, SCP-173 breached containment a week ago. The bad news is SCP-173 managed to resist containment and killed anyone who tried to. The good news is that SCP-XXXX was outside his containment cell at the time. When SCP-XXXX came in front of SCP-173, SCP-XXXX quickly removed it's mask. Due to it's eyelids being part of it's mask, SCP-XXXX stopped blinking. Allowing containment specialists to re-contain SCP-173. The Site Manager is thinking of having SCP-XXXX for SCP-173 related problems in the future.

Addendum 2: We decided to test SCP-XXXX to see how it would react to a D-Class. We sent in D-4950 into SCP-XXXX's containment cell and two researchers watched. SCP-XXXX greeted D-4950 and lead it to the table. SCP-XXXX asked the D-Class if he wanted something to drink. When the D-Class said yes, SCP-XXXX grabbed a glass and red box off the bookcase. It filled the glass with water and pulled out a stack of cards from the game known as "Uno". SCP-XXXX and the D-Class then engaged in a 30 minute Uno game. The D-Class won by the time the testing was over. SCP-XXXX congratulated the D-Class, said goodbye, and opened the cell do on his was out. The D-Class responded positively about SCP-XXXX saying, "Nicest dang SCP in this place."

Addendum 3: SCP-XXXX is gone. It didn't breach containment. It didn't escape. Just gone, and administration thinks they know where. Security Guard Peterson Frank brought in security tapes the other day and they showed this:

  • 12:04 P.M. SCP-XXXX walking down the main hallway. Once it passed a corner, something pulled him to the right, out of view.
  • 12:04 P.M. Three Researchers (who will be referred as beard, tall, and female) were on the right corner SCP-XXXX came into view as Tall pulled it down to the floor. Bread then tape SCP-XXXX'S mouth shut and stuffed it in a crate. All out them head out the exit.
  • 12:05 P.M. Security Guard leaves the booth at the front gate to get some lunch. Tall, beard, and female come out afterward and waited for an on coming van. Upon closer inspection, the van had the logo of Anderson Robotics. The three then put the crate with SCP-XXXX in the van and drove off.

Needless to say, the security guard who was on duty will receive a penalty for their carelessness. The Foundation has decided that action must be taken. SCP-XXXX will be retrieved from the building he was taken to. Mobile Task Force Gravel have tracked down the van's license plate to an Anderson Robotics warehouse in Southern Oregon. They will head to it's location. Remember, the foundation motto is Secure, Contain, Protect. We will find SCP-XXXX and contain it once again. -Site director
