Special Containment Procedures: SCP XXXX is to be kept at Site 32’s safe item storage. No fire or flammable objects are to be let inside item storage. Testing may only be allowed with permission from level 4 staff or higher.

Description: SCP XXXX is a collection of ██ fireworks, comprised of various colors and sizes.¹ These fireworks are anachronistic, dating many years before the creation of gunpowder² Chemical examination shows no anomalous substances within the fireworks. While old, all fireworks are hypothetically functional if used.

Discovery SCP XXXX was discovered in Astoria³ after a massive blue light was noticed originating from the area. Within the crate holding the collection of SCP XXXX were a lighter of nonanomalous origin, and a document written in ancient greek. Cover story Omega-14 "Generator Malfunction" has been put in place.

"During Test λ, Scholar Hephaestus lit the tail of the Paint Flyer with fire. The tails flame began to consume the tail until it had reached the bird’s base. Afterward, the bird began to fly towards the purple sky and transformed into a growing star, which began covering. When the researchers were able to view the heavens above once again, they had transformed from purple to the color of the bird. Hephaestus has decided to name this new color “Blue”."
