Item #: SCP-XXXX, "The Silent Man"

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Following containment attempt XXXX-charlie, SCP-XXXX-A is surrounded by four (4) pure iron walls, one hundred (100) meters long, fifty (50) meters tall, and three (3) meters wide. Containment should be monitored all hours of the day through four (4) surveillance cameras positioned at the top of each corner of the enclosure and four (4) infrared cameras positioned at the top of the center of each wall.

In the event that SCP-XXXX-1 or SCP-XXXX-3 are observed descending below ground-level, a tactical response officer should be notified immediately. Containment protocol XXXX-dove should be utilized. In the event that SCP-XXXX-1 or SCP-XXXX-3 are observed breaching containment, appropriate level 4 officer should be notified immediately, and a task force deployed.

SCP-XXXX-B is located at Foundation Site-███ and does not require further containment procedures.

Description: SCP-XXXX-A is a non-anomalous research facility eighty (80) meters long, seventy two (72) meters wide, and fifteen (15) meters tall, located in ██████, Canada. Due to the event currently believed to be the origins of SCP-XXXX, the building has muliple structural failures, the most notable being a hole with an average diameter of eighteen (18) meters on the North facing side.

SCP-XXXX-B is a non-anomalous research journal belonging to one Dr. Joseph Robert Gauld. Inquiries into history and records of such a person have been inconclusive or contradictory.

SCP-XXXX is impossible to monitor and locate due to its multiple parts being offset in time.

SCP-XXXX-1 is the optical manifestation of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-1 is intangible and possesses no heat signature. It appears to be a humanoid figure eight (8) meters in height, with a torso one (1) meter tall. Its arms are similarly abnormal, reaching the ground where it stands and dragging six (6) meters behind. SCP-XXXX-1 appears to be in an advanced state of decay.

SCP-XXXX-2 is the haptic manifestation of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-2 is tangible, yet possesses no heat signature. It cannot be seen with or without visual enhancement. When SCP-XXXX-2 contacts pure iron, a static discharge measuring up to one billion (1,000,000,000) volts occurs. Such a discharge seems to incapacitate all instances of SCP-XXXX for thirty six (36) hours. SCP-XXXX-2 has shown to be extremely hostile. Numerous subjects have been seen being bashed against the ceiling or floor, although autopsies of the victims cite electrocution as the cause of death. SCP-XXXX-2 events have been observed to occur between two (2) and four (4) hours after SCP-XXXX-1 events.

SCP-XXXX-3 is the heat signature of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-3 events are consistent with SCP-XXXX-1 events, delayed by three (3) to four and a half (4.5) hours.

SCP-XXXX-4 is the auditory manifestation of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-4 sounds similar to footsteps and a wet blanket dragged around the floor. According to SCP-XXXX-B, it occasionally manifests as a cry similar to that of an injured cat.

Addendum 1
The following are excerpts from SCP-XXXX-B.

Date: 10/6/1976
Powered up 5th test. Subject was the corpse of a 15 year old Caucasian female. Time-space dilation energy measured 36 kilokleps. Subject seemed to reverse decay by 1 year, but did not regain life function.

Date 10/22/1976
6th test went active today. Subject was the corpse of a 48 year old Polynesian male. Time-space dilation energy measured 1.2 megakleps. Experienced a short circuit due to unprecedented amount of energy. Subject regained life function for several minutes, professing confusion and symptoms of amnesia. After this period of returned life, subject began coughing large amounts of blood and gastric acid. Subject suffered a heart attack and died. I know that we can do this! I just need to find a way to contain more energy!

Date 11/2/1976
Something has gone horribly wrong. Shortly after activation of 7th test, an enormous surge of Time-space energy completely destroyed all of our electrical systems. We cannot know for sure, but we estimate the energy of the surge measured over 1 gigaklep. Were it not for the disastrous consequences of this surge, it would be an exciting discovery.
