Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5071 is held in a Type-S Humanoid Containment Cell, located at Site-17. A Bible and a crucifix have been placed within its cell on its request. Non-Catholic researchers are forbidden from entering SCP-5071's chamber.

Description: SCP-5071 is a humanoid entity, 1.8 meters tall and 200 hundred pounds. Initially believed to be clothed in Medieval Roman monk robes, analysis has shown these garments had grown out of the subject's skin over time, and are composed of a calcified chitin-like biomass. Several symbols belonging to the Catholic Church have been carved into the biomass, and periodically glow multiple hues of red. SCP-5071's metabolism appears to be extremely slow.¹ Similarly, it does not appear to age.

SCP-5071 is an extremely dogmatic Catholic, notably interpreting the Bible exactly as it is written. As such, it is extremely intolerant to homosexuality, biracial romance, abortion and similar subjects. SCP-5071 also frequently insults other religions, especially folk, Pagan and Protestant religions, citing them as "sinful" or "heretical".

SCP-5071 has demonstrated advanced knowledge in alchemy², thaumaturgy³ and carnomancy⁴. SCP-5071 claims these abilities were given to them by the Abrahamic God. SCP-5071 also claims to be a prophet, and has told personnel multiple "prophecies" about itself, however, these "prophecies" continually change and incorporate more and more gradually absurd events and characters.

Discovery: During the final months of 2019 and the beginning months of 2020, all major anomalous containment groups noted a complete drop in activity concerning the Horizon Initiative. Multiple investigations by the Foundation and the Global Occult Coalition took place, revealing that all major outposts, headquarters and conference areas had been completely abandoned for some time.

Further probing lead to the discovery of multiple documents detailing the acquisition of the "Messiah", and all individuals working under the Initiative being moved to the base of operations for the highest ranking members of the organization.
