Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-4956 is to be contained inside a sealed, airtight 7x7x7 metre and 3-metre-thick steel cube at all times. SCP-4956 is to be constantly fully submerged in liquid Class-E amnestic at all times, which is to be refilled using pipes feeding into the containment chamber when needed. An additional pipe feeding into SCP-4956’s mouth is to be forcibly supplied with 3kg of Tungsten, Cobalt or Aluminium daily, for consumption. The containment chamber and the pipes must be inspected constantly for any signs of damage or holes. No photos, printed or onscreen documents, recorded and printed media and verbal speech that are related to the Foundation, politically and socially sensitive subject matter are to be inside or around SCP-4956’s containment chamber. No documents relating to other SCPs, especially SCP-4956 are to be inside or near the containment chamber, to prevent a rage state. These would override the memory losses associated with the amnestic, resulting in a near guaranteed, site-wide containment breach. Any personnel attempting to perform these actions will be removed from the containment chamber with force. Any personnel attempting to establish communication with SCP-4956 will be removed immediately from the containment chamber, unless authorised by O-5 council. Protocol 12 is to never be enacted upon nor mentioned around SCP-4956 at all times (see incident 4956-9-A).
SCP-4956’s containment chamber is to be stored in Site-██, located in [REDACTED], with a 20km wide uninhabited area around the site to prevent breach of Foundation secrecy. Capturing of SCP-4956 requires heavy usage of liquid Class-E amnestic to temporarily neutralise SCP-4956’s anomalous properties for containment, along with heavy weaponry.
Description:
SCP-4956 is a humanoid entity vaguely resembling a feline, although with its head enlarged out of proportion from its body, the creature having a “boxy” appearance, a large blue tail significantly larger and thicker than most baseline felines and its appearance being primarily consisting of the colour pink. It is also bipedal, reaching approximately 1.27 metres in height. Whilst initially weighing 107kg, it has reduced to 94kg since Foundation custody, due to repeated refusals to eat. It has exhibited a large amount of strength for its size, with it being capable of tunnelling through 50 metres of solid reinforced concrete in 20 seconds. It also consumes elements not considered edible by many organisms, including Tungsten, Cobalt, [DATA EXPUNGED] and Aluminium.
From recordings of it, while it is established that SCP-4956 is sapient, since being in Foundation custody, SCP-4956 has rapidly expressed hostile beliefs and actions against the Foundation, to the point of refusing any communication with any Foundation-associated personnel (except for certain D-Class personnel, see incident 4956-9-A). While the recordings reveal SCP-4956 had a pleasant, since Foundation custody, it has become completely aggressive against the Foundation, often causing catastrophic damage to Foundation equipment and facilities. While its true age is unknown, SCP-4956 possesses intelligence greater than of an average adult, although through recordings, it has the mental age of a 14-year-old child.
SCP-4956 also has the ability to detect associated entities at their precise location when viewing an image, authors or people of or in a news article or other digital or printed media, or even documents. SCP-4956 can also detect false information and would respond accordingly to the situation. Since being in Foundation custody, SCP-4956’s hostility leads to it using that ability to target not only personnel associated with the Foundation, but prior to containment (or sometimes during containment breaches), notable far-right, fascist or anti-progressive figures. This would often result in it being in a state of rage.
When in a rage state, SCP-4956’s appearance becomes almost entirely coloured deep pink and exhibits further anomalous properties, such as the appearance of mechanical appendages from its limbs or back area. It also has a greater amount of strength and documented speeds have recorded being up to ███km/hr. Some of the notable actions while in a rage state include:
- The mechanical appendages can extend to up to 50 metres each and whilst 1-4 have been observed, some observations have been up to █. The ends of the appendages represent crushers used for compressing objects.
- Can now tunnel through a 10 metre wall of solid steel in 8 seconds.
- Seen leaping up to 30 metres in height.
- High rates of regeneration from heavy damage and immunity to all firearms and light-medium class weaponry.
- Total immunity to Class-A to Class-D amnestics
SCP-4956 has shown an aversion to amnestics, although any attempt to using them on becomes completely ineffective regardless of emotional state (Class-A to Class-C) or only results in brief memory loss lasting for a maximum of one hour (Class-D to Class-E), with all usages of such resulting in a rage state from it. However, heavy application of liquid Class-E amnestic was observed to “disrupt” SCP-4956’s targeting properties, along with the temporary reduction or elimination of its rage state and its anomalous properties. However, displaying any of the said images or media to it would reactivate the rage state and counteract the effects of the amnestic.
Due to the high possibility of a mass chain reaction, including breach of Foundation secrecy, a “Last Dance” retaliation attempt by potential targets of SCP-4956 (such as several criminals, civilians, right-wing activists and certain politicians and pundits), the resultant mass casualties as the result of said retaliation and the potential damage and deaths escalating into an IK-Class event, retrieval of subject should be considered Alpha priority.
Addendum 4956-1-A: Initial containment
SCP-4956 was found in [REDACTED] on ██/██/200█. The family keeping SCP-4956 in custody had refused to comply with Foundation personnel on handing it over and was [DATA EXPUNGED]. This had resulted in SCP-4956 engaging in a rage state resulting in the death of 24 Foundation Personnel and requiring the use of MTF-Alpha. Upon initial containment, SCP-4956 immediately attempted another containment breach, and was at large for 27 hours before recapture. Containment procedures have now updated to reflect on the entity’s properties, with SCP-4956 being reclassified as Keter.
Addendum 7972-2-B: Behaviour
SCP-4956 had become exponentially more hostile towards the Foundation since being inside Foundation custody, with SCP-4956 refusing to conduct any interviews with Foundation personnel. SCP-4956 has even refused to eat, potentially an attempt to commit suicide. Furthermore, footage inside the chamber has shown SCP-4956 constantly planning future containment breaches within its cell.
Despite this, seized camera footage of SCP-4956 prior to containment, reveals a pleasant personality, although compounded with occasional frustration against several human societal issues. Investigation on if the containment of SCP-4956 has led to the current exhibited behavior is ongoing.
On ██/██/2███, a containment breach due to communicating with D-12691, resulting it recognising the origin of D-12691, leading to a subsequent rage state and the containment breach of ██ D-Class personnel recruited from Protocol 12.

D-12691, recruited due to Protocol 12, was sent to SCP-4956’s containment chamber for repairs. D-12691 was given some equipment for replacement of the pipes used to transport Class-E amnestic into the containment cell.
[Fast-Forward five minutes, forty-five seconds]
D-12691 was found placing his head on the side of a damaged pipe leading into the roof of the containment chamber. No audible speech was heard. However, he had appeared to “look” inside the broken pipe.
[Fast-Forward seven minutes, twenty-seven seconds]
D-12691 had continued to periodically “look” into the pipe whilst attempting other repairs. When the footage captures D-12691 allegedly communicating with SCP-4956 from the lip movements detected, security alarms are sounded as guards move into the containment chamber. Three seconds later, a huge dent on the side of the containment chamber appears, before breaking within one second. SCP-4956 was seen bending away the pipes and steel, as guards fire at D-12691 and SCP-4956, the latter to no effect, before it proceeds to kill everyone but D-12691 inside the room. A containment breach alarm was shortly activated, as the room begins to fill with liquid Class-D amnestic. SCP-4956 then proceeded to use a dry metal plate from its containment cell to carry D-12691 out of the containment chamber and into the observation room. SCP-4956 then proceeded to destroy the camera using one of its mechanical appendages.

SCP-4956 was later found in [REDACTED] prison, Iran, with 100% of the security guards within the prison killed, whilst also attempting to rescue additional political prisoners. The area was subsequently bombed with the permission of Iranian authorities, with a cover story being made to ensure secrecy. SCP-4956 was the sole survivor of the attack, but in an extremely hostile state. ███ foundation personnel and ████ Iranian soldiers were killed directly by SCP-4956 during attempted capture, with an additional ██ foundation personnel affected by the Class E amnestic used during capture. D-12691 was later located in [REDACTED] with his family. Him and his family were later [DATA EXPUNGED], with the actions done being under the cover story of [REDACTED].
