Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX must be contained in Containment Unit #█ of Site-66. It is safe to be near it, its anomalous effects only manifest when a door is inserted into it. A door must be inserted into it only during testing or explorations. If an SCP-XXXX-2 instance breaches containment, the Unit automatically locks down, but more SCP-XXXX-2 instances could break down metal with their saliva, therefore Object Class will not be lowered to Safe.

Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a standard doorframe, made from an unknown material. SCP-XXXX is compatible with any door, therefore it must be blocked off with a reinforced steel door.
When a door is successfully inserted into SCP-XXXX and it is opened, it leads to another place, designated SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 appears to be a maze, unknown if it has an end. Hallways are modern, each illuminated by a neon-krypton lamp. SCP-XXXX-1 is full of corners and crosses between halls, currently there are no recorded ends of it. SCP-XXXX-1 is also full of webs, and houses a spider species, designated SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-2 instances are approximately the size of a human. These "spiders" have a potent venom that turns the victim into an SCP-XXXX-2 instance too. SCP-XXXX-2 has a highly reactive saliva, capable of rapidly dissolving any metal. Contact with skin results in strong oxidative injuries. If envenomation is impossible, they use this saliva as self-defense, or to attack people. Further research of SCP-XXXX-2 instances are found below.

Symptoms of envenomation usually appear in minutes. These contain:

• Vomiting out stomach acid and small amounts of blood.
• Chitinhairs appear all around subject's body.
• This one isn't really explained: Subject gets enlocked in a cocoon.
• After approximately 30 minutes, an SCP-XXXX-2 instance emerges from the cocoon.

Notes: SCP-XXXX-2's venom rewrites the host's DNA and genes, testing for viroids/viruses has been approved. A fungus like biomass also spreads a toxic substance, named HBNSaB-528 in an aerosolized form. Prolonged exposure to the aerosol has shown from mild to severe symptoms, depending on the time the subject was exposed to them. The aerosol causes a feeling of joy in the subject, usually making them unable to feel discomfort, and making them stay in SCP-XXXX-1 for longer. Microscopic testing of the substance showed, that HBNSaB-528 is non-anomalous.

Mild exposure (1-60 minutes): Subject becomes happier and more excited. Risk/reward analysis is damaged, resulting in the subject going in further.

Moderate Exposure (1-12 hours): Subject if filled with multiple hormones, resulting in over-excitement. Risk/reward analysis completely ceases to work.

Severe Exposure (12-24 hours): Small blood clots form in the veins. Blood pressure drops. Subject remains excited, inhibitions completely cease.

Lethal Exposure (1-2 days): Small blockages form in cells, resulting in cell death and muscular atrophy. Paralysis and seizures disrupt the nervous system, and the cause of death seems to be cardiac arrest or suffocation.

Notes: Viroids have been found in the venom and the aerosol, too. NSaB-528 has been renamed to HBNSaB-328. Request for HBNSaB-528's use as an antidepressant is still pending.

Addendum-SCP-XXXX-2-REB: During explorations, it was shown that there were fungus like biomass in some corners, releasing toxic aerosol into the air. The primary way of reproduction is through envenomation. As long as the SCP-XXXX-2 substances aren't finding out how to break through the door, Object Class remains Euclid. SCP breach can be countered easily by extracting the door from SCP-XXXX.

Recovery Log: SCP-XXXX was originally found in ███████. Locals reported noticing extremely large spiders out in the woods during night, and people also started to go missing. The case only attracted the Foundation's attention, when a family reported getting attacked by one of the SCP-XXXX-2 instances. SCP-XXXX-2 instances were terminated by MTF Lambda-12, and MTF Epsilon-6 contained SCP-XXXX when a local just ran out of the door.

Exploration (by █████ Roberts)

This was extracted from a civilian, who was working as a local scientist, researching a cure for ███████. Subject was given Class-█ amnestics after the story was told, and got imported into the Foundation as a Junior Researcher, due to moderate experience, but not with the anomalous.

The Exploration: I was currently walking home, when I noticed a house with broken windows, and full of spider webs. When I was going to work, the house was normal, so I went in to investigate. When I went in, I immediately noticed that something was off, because I saw a door open, with an apparently endless hall in it. I was going in when it closed right before me. I'm skeptical about the paranormal, but this was really creeping me out. Anyways, when I went in, I made sure it won't close behind me, I didn't want to get stuck. I was going forward for a seemingly endless time, I have found a cross. I decided to turn left, because the right hallway's light wasn't on, and I didn't want to stumble into any deadly hallway shit. I was walking forward for like 3 meters, and I ran into a corner. I walked back and I noticed the right hallway's lights on, so I started walking that way. Another seemingly endless hallway, when I started to go back to the door. I started hearing sounds behind me, and what I saw made me think this is only a nightmare. It was a giant freaking spider! So I started running and I had reached the door before it got me. But guess what! It f*cking broke through the freaking door. Behind it, there wasn't a hallway anymore, but a normal room. And the spider just… died. In front of me. Then, you guys had found me. That's all I can say about my experience.

SCP-XXXX File: FOC-3

I have bad and good news. The good news, are that we have tested on SCP-XXXX-2 and they were proven to be intelligent, almost like humans. SCP-XXXX-2s are protecting something we do not know about. Now here is the bad news. Further testing has been permanently prohibited by the command of the O5. We do not know why, but we have to stop all research in progress. Another bad new about SCP-XXXX-2 instances: They breached. Before the O5's command, we were trying to figure out what are they protecting like their god or I don't know. It didn't go like every other exploration, SCP-XXXX-2s bursted out of SCP-XXXX-1, like thirty freaking giant spiders. We, of course ran out, and Unit #3 just initiated a lockdown automatically. I'm ending this log, because the door is about to be broken down by that acid shit.

Ok. I'm back again, writing this log mid-breach. I have ran as fast as I could when one of the doors started just turning into rust. We were able to temporally stop the breach, initiating a facility-wide lockdown, and all personnel evacuated. Guess what! Except for me…! Now, I am in a security room, and if I don't make any loud sounds, I hope they will not find me. I have 2 options. Wait for MTF; Get into SCP-XXXX-1 and explore. I know! The second one just sounds crazy or like suicide, but maybe I could find that shit they are protecting. Of course, other SCPs are breaching too, so I must avoid corpses before one of it suddenly just gets up. Bio Containment Site, so I must look out for zombie or any other infectious shit. I hope the sound of sirens and the loud voice of death nuke won't scare me when I am waiting for rescue. Im going to continue this breach report if this freaking laptop cools down, the cooler is as loud as hell and the laptop is as hot as hell.

Ok. I'm back again, writing this log mid-breach. I think this had became the intro of every log I will make. I decided that I will not wait for the MTF, but I will not go into XXXX-1 either. I will explore, of what's left from the facility I know. I have also started digging into why the O5 denied further testing, and what I saw:

This is my lucky day. I hope the corpse wasn't infected with Black Death or any other lil' creature that kills me, but I found the badly mauled corpse of ████████ Carvers. This file contains the direct command of the O5 Council. These commands must be followed for countering the threat. Ignoring these could result in the endangering of a city, costing multiple lives.

We have succesfully accessed the Wanderer's Library¹, and found information about a possible breach, that happened in Site-66. Two of them contained the SCPs escaping due to an SCP-XXXX breach, one ended with recontainment, and one with a nuke. The nuke had somehow spread bioaerosol infecting multiple people in the town. We must prevent the latter by following the steps that were made in the previous. We must not send the Nu-7 at all costs. MTF Beta-7, Epsilon-11 and Lambda-12 must be sent out to contain the hazard. SCP-XXXX's door must be extracted. Trying to access the file below this without proper inoculation and clearance would result in an immediate termination by C-CAtAR² memetic kill agent.

Why did they put XXXX in a Bio Containment Site when it is a dimensional phenomena?

I was right. SCP-XXXX is guarded by 2 of the damn spiders. I think I might throw away my the Director's ID card. I am a little afraid, that I will suddently become assaulted and pierced by two fangs of ███.

Okay, I tend to finish this little How-I-survived-a-breach, because MTF teams have arrived. I won't get out of my place 'till all SCPs are recontained, tho. After I killed all of SCP-XXXX-2 instances, I think it is their problem to contain the rest of those.

Researcher ██████ was terminated by MTF Lambda-12, because he was found infected with SCP-XXXX-2 venom. Subject was found cocooned in ████ #█ Safe Wing of the Area. Termination by 3 ██-Type explosives. Multiple SCP-XXXX-2 instances were terminated, and SCP-XXXX was deactivated.

Elevator Pitch: A doorframe capable of opening into SCP-XXXX-1, its pocket dimension when a door is inserted. SCP-XXXX-1 contains a giant spider species, that reproduce by turning humans into SCP-XXXX-2s too. SCP-XXXX-1 contains a fungus-like biomass, capable of releasing toxic aerosol into the air, that lures the subjects in further.

Central Narrative: A town reports multiple sightings of giant spiders seen in the wood or during the nights. The foundation terminates the spiders, and interviews a local who entered SCP-XXXX by curiosity. A local scientist accidentally discovers SCP-XXXX, and explores it. The local didn't find anything new, except an SCP-XXXX-2 intance chasing him down the hallway.
SCP-XXXX is secured for containment, and gets transported to Site-66. Further research of SCP-XXXX-2 instances shows, that they die if SCP-XXXX is deactivated. During one testing, SCP-XXXX instances breach containment, they are shown to be in very large numbers, but smaller in size. SCP-XXXX instances are shown to be intelligent, by guarding SCP-XXXX. Facility is locked down, and a Researcher succesfully deactivates SCP-XXXX, killing all SCP-XXXX-2 instances. The researcher lies. He is a spooder too.

Hook/Attention-Grabber: A doorframe which opens into another world if a door is inserted, containing an intelligent spider species, with the size of a human. SCP-XXXX-2s are capable of destroying metal through a acidic saliva, easily breaching if a facility is under lockdown, and if they are in very large numbers. The primary way of reproduction is turning victims into SCP-XXXX-2s too. Toxic aerosols in the air lure subjects in further.
