Northwest Landing Site

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Class: Euclid
Containment Procedures: The Northwest Territories and city of Yellowknife were both instructed to maintain a one-kilometer zone in which no roads, bridges, or other forms of infrastructure are to be built. Within this zone a team of one doctor (formally three), two D-Class personal, and three C-Class personal. The D-class personal are to be kept in barracks near the sight, guarded by one of the three SCP C-class workers. Doctor Einsam is to keep all information confidential, bugs are to be placed in his clothes and communication devices to ensure safety of the information. Exposing SCP-XXXX’s existence will result in his immediate termination of the whistleblower, plus the termination of those exposed to the information. Publicly available satellite images of SCP-XXXX’s location are to be altered to prevent public viewing. In the case of an extraterrestrial landing, the US and Canadian militaries both have secret routes to transport soldiers and weaponry within an hour of notice.
Description: Founded in 1998 ten kilometers outside of Yellowknife, Canada; SCP-XXXX displays signs of extraterrestrial activity. These signs include toxic gas containing biologically engineered weaponry, unidentifiable fluids thought to be waste products of spaceships, and frequent UFO sightings. The gas contains a variation of what appears to be a strain of a common virus but modified to be more lethal. Drugs are to be administered to people who happen by the area, these drugs are meant to simulate forgetfulness and cause a short seizures.
Dr. Einsam works alone and is tasked with studying the fluids and gasses which appear on the landing site. The D-Class workers are to wear protective suits equipped with goggles and gas mask to collect the samples, in the event that one of both die studying will cease until they are fully replaced. The C-class employees will work as caterers, safety inspectors, guards, and cleaners to ensure the D-Class employees don’t escape and that Dr. Einsam’s needs are met.
As of this date three D-class workers and two doctors died researching this anomaly. Dr. Claudia Einsam and Dr. Emil Karrem both died as a result of the biological weapon’s infection, two D-Class workers were executed for attempted escape, and one D-Class employee committed suicide by asphyxiation. The C-class members work an average of five years before being moved to different projects.
Dr. Einsam was exposed to the virus as a result of a rip in her protective suit in 2009, within two weeks the symptoms appeared as followed; excessive hairloss, bleeding of the eyes, bleeding of the mouth, liver failure, and death. Dr. Emil suffered simultaneously, the symptoms appeared as followed; excessive hairloss, bleeding of the eyes, weakening bones, collapsing lung, and death by asphyxiation shortly after his second lung collapsed.
