Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4082 is to be held in a standard humanoid containment chamber. In the instance of SCP-4082's form collapsing, all testing is to cease for atleast five (5) hours to allow SCP-4082 to rebuild it's form. All offspring of SCP-4082, hereby referred to as SCP-4082-2, are to be kept in a secondary humanoid containment chamber, separated from it's parent.¹

Description: SCP-4082 is a bipedal entity composed entirely of standard tap water, suspended in the air by unknown means. SCP-4082 takes the form of an average human, at a height of 5'8". Attempts to remove or displace the object's matter will render the water non-anomalous, and will behave as H²O does, but will not reduce SCP-4082's overall mass. When SCP-4082 makes contact with any other sources of water, it will absorb it fully. This has not been shown to increase SCP-4082's overall mass. SCP-4082 has also been observed to display stress via collapsing it's entire form. This is a temporary reaction, and SCP-4082 will reconstruct it's form in a variable amount of time under five (5) hours, but no shorter than one (1) hour. This is confirmed to be it's way of dealing with high levels of stress. Process has no apparent effect on SCP-4082.

SCP-4082 demonstrates high level cognitive function, and is capable of supposed emotion and solving basic problems. SCP-4082 has demonstrated no ability to speak, but will willingly attempt communication in other forms. When spoken to, SCP-4082 will demonstrate basic understanding and follow commands if asked. SCP-4082 is capable of producing offspring, at a rate of which is unknown. SCP-4082, in recovery, was found to have two (2) other entities of the same composition at it's side. SCP-4082 has confirmed this to be it's children, yet shows significant stress when confronted about them.

Dr. Leaves: Ahem. SCP-4082, object class safe. I've done lots of research on you.

SCP-4082 acknowledges Dr. Leaves, nodding briefly.

Dr. Leaves: We'll be using a simple system for this interview. It's pretty simple; raise one hand for yes, and two for no. Do ya' understand?

SCP-4082 raises one hand in apparent understanding, and proceeds to put it's hand down seconds after.

Dr. Leaves: Alright. Let's get this started. Um.

Dr. Leaves shuffles through his note cards audibly.

Dr. Leaves: Uhm. SCP-4082, are you sentient, and do you display emotion?

SCP-4082 raises one hand.

Dr. Leaves: Perfect, as we thought. Secondly. Are there more water-composed entities like you?

SCP-4082 raises one hand. Water droplets spill from it's form steadily, indicating mild stress.

Dr. Leaves: Oh. Touchy subject. My bad.

Dr. Leaves clears his throat, and allows SCP-4082 to re-stabilize before continuing.

Dr. Leaves: SCP-4082, when you lose some of your.. ahem, water, do you feel pain, or any similar emotions?

SCP-4082 raises two hands, once again.

Dr. Leaves nods, and appears to stare at the next notecard for an extended amount of time. He is reminded to stay on task.

Dr. Leaves: Oh. Sorry. SCP-4082, are you capable of asexual offspring?

SCP-4082 raises one hand. ( NOTE: Further testing suggested to persuade SCP-4082 into creating off-spring. )

Dr. Leaves: That's what I expected. Uhm, from the recovery log. I heard there were two entities like you, right next to you. Were these your children?

SCP-4082 stays motionless for the next fifteen (15) seconds. As Dr. Leaves is about to speak, SCP-4082 loses form.

Dr. Leaves jumps from his chair, knocking it over.

Dr. Leaves: Shit! God, that's a scare.

SCP-4082 turns it's attention to Dr. Leaves, and raises one hand in acknowledgement.

Dr. Leaves: Great. 4082, we're here to ask you more about your recovery. I had read about it. Is this something you're willing to talk about?

SCP-4082 holds motionless for a few seconds before raising one hand.

Dr. Leaves: That's good. We can start the questions now, huh? Alright. SCP-4082, when the recovery team was dispatched to your area, the lake near ██████, did you have any idea what was going on?

SCP-4082 raises two hands.

Dr. Leaves: .. yeah. Were those your children?

SCP-4082 stays unresponsive for ten seconds, before raising one hand.

Dr. Leaves sighs, apparently in relief.

Dr. Leaves: Of course. Did you have a strong emotional bond to your children?

SCP-4082 keeps it's hand held up. SCP-4082 begins showing early signs of possible collapse.

//Dr. Leaves stares at his notecards, before looking backwards at the observation room. Leaves is reminded to stay on task.

Dr. Leaves: .. sorry, Jesus Christ. SCP-4082, your offspring demonstrate a significant size decrease relative to you. Do they grow?

//SCP-4082 turns away from Dr. Leaves, and walks to the corner of it's chamber. SCP-4082 stays unresponsive for one minute. Dr. Leaves attempts to interact with SCP-4082 constantly, to no avail. Interview is deemed incomplete.

+ Recovery Document 4082/08-1-09

On July ██, 2009, SCP-4082 was first reported to the local police via anonymous means. Police were dispatched, and reported that one (1) bipedal entity was found standing near a lake. The Foundation was involved immediately.

A recovery team was called to the location of SCP-4082's sighting. Agents found SCP-4082 standing, once again, near lake ██████. Two instances of SCP-4082-2 were found at either side of it. Recovery team was ordered to capture in any plausible means, as the nature of SCP-4082's behavior and whether or not it's form behaved like a solid mass was unknown.

The recovery team attempted to simply grab SCP-4082 and it's offspring to some avail, but all three immediately lost form. The recovery team marked the area off with police-grade blockades, labelling the site a murder scene. Approximately five (5) hours later, all instances of SCP-4082 successfully reformed, and were wrangled into an unmarked transportation vehicle. Instances of SCP-4082-2 displayed much more of a problem than SCP-4082 itself, the offspring attempting to run over to it's parent immediately. Recovery was declared a success, and initial witness and police officers were applied Class-C amnestics after recovery.
