Low level guards are to patrol the area around the building, Making sure nothing enters. if someone does, they should not attempt to recover them, unless explicitly told to by staff of level 3 clearance or higher.
Description:
Specimen is a simple 3 story house with a fully furnished attic and a basement which leaks an acidic, green liquid. Any specimen inside experiences irrational levels of paranoia, among other symptoms. this entry is not referring to the whole house, but specifically to these 3 areas.
XXXX-A the floor 1 bathroom
XXXX-B the kitchen in the attic
XXXX-C the boiler room
XXXX-D the hallway
XXXX-E bedrooms 1 and 2
Tests have been performed elsewhere, but where uneventful. This list is ranked for intensity of the anomalous psychological behaviors, with the bottom being the most intense. prolonged exposure can lead to murderous behavior, suicidal tendencies, violent spasms, and in rare cases, morphing into instances of SCP XXXX-1, which is an [EXPUNGED].
suicidal actions have only been noted in SCP XXXX-E, and always using bedroom 2's ceiling fan, although normally the blades would not be able to support the entire weight of a human.
the symptoms of each sub-anomaly:
the floor 1 bathroom stands as the least noticeable, because it mostly takes effect around the 1 hour mark. all under the effects of SCP XXXX are unnaturally alarmed by the shower curtain and the mirror. all subjects will show a desire to kill the entity behind the shower curtain.
the attic kitchen stands out, because SCP-XXXX's affects cannot be helped using any form of drugs, and even when someone else is present, the subject appears to want to either , or in the worst cases, want to see what is outside the 2nd floor window. Those who followed the urge all died from the impact to the ground, so it is unknown if there was something outside.
the boiler room is the one that appears to be very person specific, as certain people are not effected. though despite the presence of people who aren't effected, paranoids still feel the urge to close their eyes, and always want to have their backs against the walls.
the hallway joins these 2 rooms, and causes the feeling of regret typically resulting in running away from the door at the end, and when questions claimed they could "hear it opening the door." The handle to bedroom 1 has been removed, but sounds still consist.
bedroom 1 and 2 are the most anomalous. their effects are making people always check their shoulders, and hear odd noises and whispers. Bedroom 1 is the biggest, and causes anxiety. if 2 people are left for too long, one will murder the other out of fear that if they don't they will be killed, which is technically true. Bedroom 2 is the worst, if the light is left off in the night, all inside will begin [EXPUNGED], and when the light is turned back on, patients will be hung from the ceiling fan, and upon autopsy, became permanently blind during their stay.
what is known about the history of the house is that a family has lived there before, but their anomalous situation is rather unrelated to the the typical fears, like the closets and under the bed, do not scare people, what scares them is odd things like:
- the top bunk of the bed
- the TV turning on and, what subjects describe as "it" staring back at them
- the window being watched by the yet undescribed force.
people describing their experiences seem to be hesitant, and while doing so check behind them repetitively.
TEST #1: the front hallway
the subject has been acting nervous, and seems extremely hesitant to go near the hallway. after 30 mins. He begins yelling: "EVERYONE KNOWS, STOP LYING, LET ME OUT!" our nearest employees fell under SCP XXXX-A's affects, and by the time we reached them, they were all singing a song in [EXPUNGED] despite only 1 knowing the language. Researchers performing the experiments have been temporarily suspended.
TEST #2: attic kitchen
subject appears to not want to stand anywhere within the sightline of the window, and is laughing nervously. Subject recently curled up into a ball, and is crying. Personnel being sent to evacuate him. subject, upon seeing his rescuers, went to the window, lifted the latch, and fell out. subject's corpse is smiling.
TEST #3: Boiler room
Our test subject has been reluctant to enter, and now is in a corner sitting, and covering their eyes.
she has begun to [EXPUNGED] and crew has been sent to get them. subject has recovered, but refuses to go back to the house, saying "It knew where I was".
TEST #4: bedroom 1
D-class subject has begun panting loudly, and started crying while staring at the walk-in closet. Subject was removed, and given a blindfold before returning to the room. subject appeared to easily calm down, until 20 minutes in, when several shallow lacerations appeared on her body. subject became agitated and began breaking the objects in the room before quickly being extracted.
TEST #5: bedroom 2
subject appeared to lie motionless for 1 hour, until research staff discovered the camera was frozen on a single shot. upon entrance, staff discovered an instance of SCP XXXX-1, speaking the words "liars", and "betrayed" between bouts of unintelligible sounds.
