Special Containment Procedures: If SCP-XXXX is spotted in a mirror, destroy the mirror as soon as possible and leave the room.
Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a male humanoid that appears to be covered in shards of filthy stained glass, each piece stabbing further into his skin as he moves yet he feels no pain and is not slowed down by this, he is currently only known to be able to go into mirrors that can reflect at least 55% of the average-sized man, he is incapable of going in anything smaller like a handheld mirror, he is also incapable of going into regular reflective surfaces such as clean metal, regardless of size.
Every two hours he moves to another mirror to wait for a subject to view the mirror so he can devour their reflection, the reason he waits for someone to view him is unknown, it is theorized that when the subject watches him devour his prey's reflection that the subject goes into a state of shock when the subject becomes immobilized SCP-XXXX will not be seen until the two-hour mark strikes, and the subject's survival depends entirely on the mirror, if the mirror is destroyed then the subject will be destroyed, if the mirror is damaged then the subject will be damaged, if the subject leaves the proximity of the mirror he will die, if he goes back into proximity he will be revived, and if nothing happens to the mirror for 2-3 months then the subject will be able to move again and will lose their reflection forever.

Discovery
SCP-XXXX was discovered during prom night at one of the high schools in ██████, Tennessee, a teenage male was going to the bathroom and when he finished washing his hands he discovered SCP-XXXX, it had begun consuming his reflection, and when it was done he couldn't move at all, he was discovered hours later when his friends went to check on him, he was sent to the hospital via ambulance but had died the second he left the mirror's proximity, when the ambulance passed by the mirror's proximity again he had regained his pulse, after testing a theory of if the area is keeping him alive and discovering the theory was correct, they kept him in that area and kept him nourished the entire time, hope was beginning to fade a few months later, but when it reached month 2, day 5 he could move again, he was sent home to his family after being interviewed by The Foundation and receiving Amnestics, after this event, the boy was interviewed every month and after receiving Amnestics would then get be asked some different questions to reduce suspicions, interview logs and name of subject are only viewable by personnel with Level 3 Security Clearance.

Termination Attempts

Form of termination: Destroying the mirror before SCP-XXXX disappears
Result: Failure, the mirror despite being destroyed still was big enough for SCP-XXXX to escape through.
Notes: In the future, let's try incinerating the mirror.

Form of termination: Incinerating the mirror before SCP-XXXX disappears
Result: Failure, SCP-XXXX escaped just as the mirror got tossed in the incinerator.
Notes: So, we tried destroying the mirror, but we have yet to try getting rid of its food source.

Form of termination: Terminating or removing anyone that is about to have their reflection devoured by SCP-XXXX
Result: There have been fewer and fewer attacks by SCP-XXXX due to lack of energy, success!

SCP-XXXX's so-called "Discovery" wasn't really the first time it was encountered, it is merely a diversion from the cruel reality, SCP-XXXX isn't just an entity that manifests in mirrors, it has been… Developing its skills, growing more and more powerful each and every day, in fact, it only just gained the ability to manifest in mirrors a few days before the "First encounter" at █████ High School, it originally manifested in ponds, mainly the pond at █████, █████, while it only is encountered through mirrors, it still has the ability to appear in the water, it has caused many accidents in the past, cars steering into a watery demise, people "Falling in", and so much more, all covered up with "The driver drank too much beer at the bar." and "They slipped and no one noticed until it was too late." it really takes a toll on a person when you have to do this over and over.
After developing its ability to go into mirrors these "Accidents" reduced, fortunately, people will believe anything, all we have to say was they slipped into a coma and it is like nothing ever happened, of course, it gets a little bit more difficult covering up the subject dying and coming back to life when exiting and entering the proximity of the mirror, but the struggles are worth it to prevent mass panic, the reason this addendum was added was not that it was decided that some people should know about this, it is because recently people have started to have the same effect, except they were discovered nowhere near a mirror, but they did, in fact, have a phone in their hand on the camera setting, SCP-XXXX is only appearing in reflective surfaces and just anything that you can see yourself on, but it is frightening to think that it could develop into something more.
After many attempts to go to the other side of the mirror to capture and contain SCP-XXXX it finally happened, we sent a man through, we found a mirror that has been affected by SCP-XXXX and he went through, unfortunately, he didn't return with SCP-XXXX but he did find some interesting things, upon entrance he had a surge of memories that never happened, one of the memories was a newspaper titled, "The Mirror Hunter" and he immediately recognized that it was talking about SCP-XXXX, the newspaper said that the parents of the anomaly were known, and interviews took place, they said that as a teenager SCP-XXXX was an outcast, didn't have friends, he began saying he saw people in the mirror, sounds normal, everyone sees people in the mirror when they are in front of it, he began breaking the mirrors and started stabbing himself with the shards and leaving them there, and when he was asked about it he said that they were his friends and he wanted to keep them with him. They personally observed him stabbing himself and he felt no pain while doing so, when the parents interfered they got stabbed with the glass and had to stop, shortly after they stopped getting mirrors SCP-XXXX ran away, and after that, the newspaper's text stopped.

Dr. █████: So I am Dr. █████, we are going to be asking you a few questions today, are you ready to begin?
James Fretlin: Yes, Sir.
Dr. █████: Alright, let's begin, question one, have you noticed anything strange when you look into a reflective surface like a mirror?
James Fretlin: Well, yeah, I have no reflection, I thought those were just pranks, should I be worried?
Dr. █████: Not at all, that is just a problem that few people have, there is an illness that causes people to not notice themselves in reflective surfaces or anything that you can see yourself in usually, it isn't anything to worry about, does make it hard to have good hair days although.
James Fretlin: *Chuckles* Alright, so it is just a problem with my brain? That will be useful if there is someone sneaking up behind me.
Dr. █████: Sure will, anyways, question two, has anything else felt out of the ordinary?
James Fretlin: Well, not much, I felt a bit like I couldn't talk to people like something was preventing me, I gather all the words in my mind and then when I start walking up to someone something begins to tell me to back away.
Dr. █████: Hm, interesting, well anything else?
James Fretlin: Nope, nothing else.
