Hi, to whoever is reading this. From what I’ve heard this is a place where anyone can say anything they want, so that’s what I will be doing.
So you somehow get chosen as a doctor or researcher by this weird Foundation that keeps finding those alien things called SCPs ( this name doesn’t make much sense but nobody cares, I mean seriously secure contain protect 173, since when do we do that?). You start your training in whatever domain you have, you usually have some classes that you have to take. My personal tip is that you do your homework, get to know one of those senior doctors and volunteer to be an assistant, you will learn much more and see how it is to be a doctor. For questions, ask your colleagues, rather then the professer because you are more likely to get an answer. Also, don’t break rules, you will either die or get punished, and then you will want to die.
A few years pass, you become a senior, congratulations, now you’re on your own. The first thing you need to worry about is not necessarily your job, but your sanity, by that I mean you might loose it. My suggestion is that you keep something from when you were with your family, friends, pet etc. Remember who you are, many people here forget that, those people have to pay to get treatment from others that are in the same situation. Another thing, find a hobby or something to do other then running around the site trying to get to your office and try to see what a toaster can do.
As time goes on, you will need to find people to talk with. This place can become pretty lonely when you don’t know anyone. If you work in a office, you can hang out with other people that work next to you. Making friends with SCPs is also an option but, I wouldn’t recommend, it is very risky. It usually either goes good, but others judge a lot and it might lead to depression or bad, where you will most likely get killed.
I think that I’m done, hopefully this was helpful for you in some way.
