Seeking Greenlights: Yes
Page Type: SCP Article
Genre (Optional): Realistic Super Power, in this case super strength
Page Layout (Optional): N/A
Elevator Pitch: After watching a Because Science episode on realistic super strength I decided to see perhaps what one would look like in the SCP Universe and how realistically a guy, who really didn't understand it, would act.
Central Narrative: N/A
Hook/Attention-Grabber: A man gets captured in Canada after illegally crossing the border and some anomalous stuff happens when they accidentally send a Mountie flying, they then are captured by the SCP Foundation
Additional Notes: Pretty short right now, kind of a "vanilla" SCP
Object Class:
Euclid (Currently pending a Thaumiel reclassification see addendum 1)
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXX1 is to be contained in a Class B (Compliant Humanoid) dwelling. All guards assigned to the Class B Block of Site-22 are to carry loaded tranquilizer guns in addition to their regular kit at all times and to ensure that SCP-XXX1 does not make physical contact with them during a containment breach.
Furniture is to include: one bed, one night stand positioned to be accessible while a subject is reclining in said bed, a 2x3 meter table with accompanying chair positioned in such manner as to be readily accessible for seating with the table, a laptop connected to a power outlet with internet access pending good behavior and availability (see note 1), several spiral bound notebooks with accompanying writing utensils, a copy of the Holy Bible (KJVA) and the Book of Common Prayer of the Episcopal Church of the United States.
(Note 1: When connected to the internet the laptop is to have all forums, blogs, or other places where posting custom content is available blocked. As of writing no internet connection has been provided to any persons, staff or otherwise, within Site-22 due to location and building construction; request for such addition has been pending for [REDACTED] years.)
Description:
SCP-XXX1 is a human male approximately 24 years of age, upon interview he states that he is from Mobile, Alabama, United States. Upon further investigation we have found no living relatives of SCP-XXX1 and he states that he has no recollection of any relatives.
SCP-XXX1 appears non-anomalous at first inspection and is an average male of his age with Caucasian origins. The anomalous properties of SCP-XXX1 becomes apparent when the individual physically exerts themselves in attempting to move objects, upon attempting to move or dislodge an object SCP-XXX1 generates a telekinetic field originating from the skin and interacting with said object. This telekinetic field allows SCP-XXX1 to physically move objects that would normally be impossible to move without considerable effort or without mechanical assistance. As of [REDACTED] there is currently no known upper limit to the mass of an object able to be manipulated by SCP-XXX1 in this manner (see addendum 2).
This telekinetic field does not express itself consciously, but instead manifests itself at any time SCP-XXX1 attempts to move an object that would normally require the application of more than minimal physical force (i.e. attempting to move an automobile but not attempting to move a pencil). The current threshold between these two distinctions is currently not fully understood.
SCP-XXX1 was acquired in Quebec, Canada after attempts by local law enforcement officers to apprehend SCP-XXX1 for questioning after crossing the border between the United States and Canada illegally. During the attempt SCP-XXX1 became agitated and subsequently (although by accident they claim) launched the local law enforcement officer into his vehicle at such force as to break multiple vertebrae and the spinal column. Subsequent attempts by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to apprehend him resulted in the Foundation being contacted by Her Majesty’s Paranormal Apprehension Regiment of North America (HMPARNA) because of several reports of police vehicles being launched or lifted by a human suspect.
MTF-1812 “Ursuline” was dispatched to Quebec, Canada and administered Class B amnestics to all law enforcement officers directly involved and prepared a LP.221 Procedure to misdirect all media attention that may arise (no such procedure was needed as local media never reported on the incidents). MTF-1812 then proceeded to track and apprehend SCP-XXX1 in a forested area near Montreal, Quebec. After applying long range “sedation darts” they took the subject to Site-22.
SCP-XXX1 has attempted to break out of containment only once after his acquisition and after 3 months was moved to the current containment cell.
Addendum 1: SCP-XXX1 has, at numerous times, shown great interest in assisting the Foundation and seeking employ therein. Currently pending approval by O5-[Redacted].
Addendum 2: Testing on [REDACTED], 2018 has shown upper limits of strength to be at least beyond the current capabilities of Site-22 to currently safely test (1000 lbs), there is a currently pending request for more advanced equipment.
Test Log:
Test December 6, 2016
Subject is moved to Testing Chamber 14/A, which has been furnished with five weights. These weights are, in ascending order: 1lb, 100lbs, 250lbs, 700lbs, and 1000lbs.
Subject is instructed to pick up the first weight (1lb). Subject complies and notes no activation of the telekinetic field.
Subject is instructed to pick up the second weight (100lbs). Subject complies and picks the weight up, proceeding to toss the weight into the air and catch it. Subject is instructed to cease and report if the telekinetic field has activated. Subject replies in the affirmative and sets the weight down.
Subject is instructed to pick up the third weight (250lbs). Subject again complies and picks up the weight and lifts the weight placing it on his head. Subject affirms that the telekinetic field has activated. Subject loses balance and the weight falls from his head and breaks the tile floor. Subject is instructed to not play with the weights as if they are toys. Subject apologizes.
Subject is instructed to pick up the fourth weight (700lbs). Subject picks up the weight and lifts it above his head before setting the weight down. Subject affirms the activation of the telekinetic field.
Subject is instructed to pick up the fifth weight (1000lbs). Subject again complies and picks up the weight, affirms the activation of the telekinetic field and puts the weight down.
Test ended.
Test December 10, 2016
Subject is moved to Testing Chamber 14/A with D Class 1432C, real name [Redacted], weight 213.4lbs, sex female, height 73inches.
1432C is instructed to allow subject to lift them off the ground. 1432C complies and subject lifts them off the ground, 1432C is then instructed to attempt to move or otherwise escape subject’s grasp. 1432C reports that she is “unable to even move a [explicative redacted] finger” and further demands that she is released. Subject is told to ignore 1432C’s request and does so.
Subject is instructed to remove a hand from 1432C, subject misinterprets the order and removes the hand of 1432C eliciting a strong negative response. Order is clarified and subject proceeds to continue lifting 1432C with a single hand before using only their index finger to continue lifting.
Subject is ordered to release 1432C and complies. 1432C attempts to physically assault subject who attempts to explain that he was only following instructions.
Doctor D’Acosta voices his wish to terminate the experiment but I’d convinced to allow the test to continue.
A physical altercation occurs between 1432C and the subject who ends the altercation by pushing 1432C into the observation window killing her. The observation window received only minor superficial damage.
Test ended.
(Note 2: Subject is reprimanded for pushing 1432C into the observation window and not into the wall as if the window had broken several researchers could have been hurt or killed. Subject expresses guilt for the action and offers to clean the window, offer is denied. Subject is instructed to return to their room.)

Interview 1
Date: March 15, 2016
Interviewer: Doctor Kristen Morgan
Interviewee: SCP-XXX1
Transcription Follows
Dr. Morgan: Do you know why you’re here SCP-XXX1?
Subject: Can you please refer to me by my name, [Redacted]?
Dr. Morgan: It’s procedure, now answer the question please.
Subject: Because I killed a Mountie?
Dr. Morgan: No, you only paralyzed him, but I’m more interested in the way you did.
Subject: Oh…
Dr. Morgan: Tell me when these anomalous abilities started to manifest.
(Subject shrugs)
Dr. Morgan: Shrugging isn’t an answer.
(Subject shrugs again)
(Subject is applied 100 volt electric current through chair, Subject vocalizes displeasure at this)
Dr. Morgan: You’re a dangerous man, you made a father a paraplegic, cost the RCMP forty thousand dollars in damages, and cost us nearly double that in amnestic drugs and media suppression protocols. You will answer my—.
(Subject breaks titanium restraints and begins vocalizing his dislike of the posed question to Doctor Morgan. Containment breach is sounded and Subject is tranquilized.)

Note 3: Doctor Morgan was reprimanded for revealing costs associated with the Foundation to a Subject.
Interview 2
Date: March 19, 2016
Interviewer: Doctor Michael D’Acosta
Interviewee: SCP-XXX1
Transcription Follows
Doctor D’Acosta: Good morning Mister [REDACTED]
Subject: You’re not gonna call me SCP-XXX1?
Doctor D’Acosta: No, we’ve decided to take a less… clinical approach in our interviews with you.
Subject: How thoughtful.
Doctor D’Acosta: Yes of course, I mean this place is dreadful enough as it is, no need to make it worse on you. But we still have to learn what we can about you – and your abilities.
Subject: Well if you don’t shock me I’ll probably be much more forthcoming.
(Subject laughs)
Doctor D’Acosta: Humor, good. Now let’s start from the top shall we? What’s your first memory of having these, “super powers”, if you will.
(Subject is silent for a few moments)
Subject: Well, my very first I’d say was when I was young, maybe thirteen. I was being chased by some kids who thought I smelled weird or something. I was running through an alley to get away from them. I just meant to roll one of these small street dumpsters … you know what I’m talking about?
(Doctor D’Acosta nods)
Subject: Yeah one of those, I pushed it as I was running and the damn thing flew like it was weightless right at them. Crushed them flat. There was… a lot of blood. I don’t really want to talk about home anymore, not that it ever was my home…
Doctor D’Acosta: It’s okay we don’t have to talk about that now. But where were your parents during all this?
(Subject shrugs)
Subject: I don’t know. Don’t remember them.
Doctor D’Acosta: Interesting. I think that’ll do it for today. Thank you.

Note 4: The first anomalous event described by SCP-XXX1 is still an outstanding homicide investigation by the Montgomery Police Department. The Foundation has decided that no further investigation was necessary nor any actions to be taken unless further progress was made by the Montgomery Police Department.
