Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: The property on which SCP-XXXX-1 is constructed is to be surrounded by stainless-steel barbed wire fencing, patrolled at all time by armed security personnel. A second set of stainless-steel, barbed wire fencing is to constructed around a perimeter 225 meters away from SCP-XXXX-1, with no less than 200mA of electric current running through it at all times. The interior of SCP-XXXX-1 has been outfitted with cameras and thermal imaging devices via autonomous robot.

Any non-Foundation personnel found to be at the property line are to be deterred under threat of force. If any non-Foundation personnel are found within the property line of SCP-XXXX, they are to be administered Class-A amnesthetics and to under go intensive psychiatric evaluation prior to release. Were any personnel to breach within 200 meters of SCP-XXXX-1, they are to be terminated on contact in order to prevent entrance into SCP-XXXX-1. If any living human has entered SCP-XXXX-1, personnel are to prepare for an SCP-XXXX-A event.

During an SCP-XXXX-A event, the anomalous effects of SCP-XXXX will continue to progress in SCP-XXXX-2 until terminated. Termination is most easily achieved through electrocution, and as such the current running through the second fence line will be increased to 500 mA. All research personnel are to immediately lock down, given the apparent contagious nature of the effects of SCP-XXXX-1, and security personnel are to patrol the second fence and ensure that SCP-XXXX-2 is terminated either by electric fence or via munitions. Personnel must not come into physical contact at any point with SCP-XXXX-2. Within 3 days of the event, a clergy member of the Christian church is to bless the property on which SCP-XXXX-1 is constructed in order to suppress further anomalous effects of SCP-XXXX-1, and allow personnel to shut the doors to SCP-XXXX-1 to suppress influence on personnel on the grounds of SCP-XXXX-1 (See Incident Log SCP-XXXX-I).

Description: SCP-XXXX is documented as two separate entities, SCP-XXXX-1, and SCP-XXXX-2.

SCP-XXXX came to the Foundation's attention in late 2018 following the disappearances of several adolescents in ████ County, Maine. These disappearances coincided with reports of "goat men" roaming the land around SCP-XXXX-1, raising the suspicions of Agent █████, who is assigned to the region.

SCP-XXXX-1 is a derelict country club in █████ County, Maine.
The property on which SCP-XXXX-1 is constructed is densely wooded, giving natural cover from line-of-sight. When personnel enter within a 200 meter perimeter of SCP-XXXX-1, they report feeling strongly compelled to enter immediately. Subjects have displayed annoyance and agitation when encouraged not too, and have escalated into violent, aggressive states when restrained. Upon entering SCP-XXXX-1, subjects' brain activity has been seen to begin dropping significantly, directly proportional to the amount of time spent inside of SCP-XXXX-1. Subjects have displayed effects such as a loss of fine motor skills, coordination, speech ability and comprehension.

Stillshot of SCP-XXXX-1 captured during Experiment XXXX-II

After spending approximately 4 minutes inside of SCP-XXXX-1, subjects have shown aversion towards technology, attempting to disable cameras, thermal imaging sensors, and any equipment attached to the subjects body (excluding any subdermal implants such as tracking devices or various monitors for vital signs). Attacks on equipment are normally carried out by subject using their own hands, even if provided with a tool or weapon substantial for destruction of technology in question. Attacks typically yield no result, and subjects are often agitated after a failure to disable equipment.

Note: The aversion/ hostility towards technology, change to an animal-like state, regression of cognitive ability, and possible pagan origins may signify that the effects of SCP-XXXX-1 are a "deletion" of the social complexes of humanity in a subject to the point where they become a primitive "nature entity" who's goal is to revert other humans to the same.

After spending approximately 6 minutes inside SCP-XXXX-1, subjects will abandon current activity and move towards the room inside of SCP-XXXX-1 that is theorized to be the source of the effects of SCP-XXXX-1, referred to as the "trophy" room. While moving towards the "trophy" room, subjects cease to locomote bipedally and instead crawl on all fours, similar to a canid. Upon reaching the "trophy" room, subjects begin imitating the howl of a wolf and various other animal noises and strips themselves of all clothing. At this point, contact will be lost with any technological equipment still present on a subject, seeming to vaporize or disappear entirely. This is the point at which effects of SCP-XXXX-1 begin to manifest physically as well as psychologically, and subjects are considered a manifestation of SCP-XXXX-2.

SCP-XXXX-2 is the designation given to any subject who enters the "trophy" room of SCP-XXXX-1. After stripping itself of clothing, SCP-XXXX-2 will exit SCP-XXXX-1 and proceed to hunt the nearest living humanoid. Upon physical contact with any living humanoid, said humanoid will immediately begin to display the effects of SCP-XXXX-1, as long as they are on the property on which SCP-XXXX-1 is constructed. Any humanoid who makes physical contact off of the grounds feels a strongly compelling urge to go to the grounds, regardless of prior knowledge of the location. During this hunting phase, SCP-XXXX-2 shows that the effects of SCP-XXXX-1 are progressive, and worsen over time. As effects progress, SCP-XXXX-2 will shriek continually, suggesting that the effects and progression of SCP-XXXX-1 cause intense amounts of pain.

Note: After SCP-XXXX-2 exits SCP-XXXX-1, the doors to SCP-XXXX-1 will remain open, causing personnel on he grounds to suffer from mild symptoms such as headaches, nausea, and intense sweating.

Note: There seems to be no conventional means of terminating or otherwise damaging SCP-XXXX-2 while the specimen is inside of SCP-XXXX-1, save for use of a Christian symbol or image (see Experiment Log XXXX).

After a period of roughly 10 minutes, the spine is arched to ease quadrupedal locomotion, while allowing for bipedal locomotion with a hunched-over appearance, and keratin production in the fingernails and toenails of SCP-XXXX-2 grows exponentially until the nails have essentially become claws.

Note: Though bipedal locomotion is still possible for SCP-XXXX-2, quadrupedal movement is favored and subjects typically only stand on hind legs as a means of locating/ surveying, similar to some bear species.

After a 20-minute period, matted black fur will have entirely coated the back of SCP-XXXX-2, and the rear feet will have been shaped into a hoof, similar to that of a Whitetail deer (Odocoileus virginianus). The jaw of SCP-XXXX-2 will begin elongating to a protrusion of approximately 6 inches, with teeth and the nose moving accordingly. Antlers similar to that of most deer species will begin to develop. It is unknown thus far how biological structures are moved yet retain function.

Approximately 30 minutes after exposure to SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX-2 will have a full set of antlers, an elongated muzzle and matted fur covering its body, and will move at a speed greatly faster than any human is capable of. At this point, SCP-XXXX-2 will consume any living humanoid it comes into contact with as opposed to inducing the effects of SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-2 prefers to eat [DATA EXPUNGED] and will consume them first over any other part of a humanoid.
Progression of SCP-XXX in a subject is only stopped via termination of SCP-XXXX-2

Notice: Under no circumstance are personnel to experiment with the demolition of SCP-XXXX-1. Upon any attempt at destroying SCP-XXXX-1 (immolation, detonation, heavy machinery, etc.), SCP-XXXX-1 will not only remain unaffected, but 4-7 instances of SCP-XXXX-2 will manifest in the "trophy" room of SCP-XXXX-1, seeming to target any personnel involved, hunting them and [REDACTED] their bodies. Following killing personnel involved in the demolition attempt, the instances of SCP-XXXX-2 will return to the "trophy" room, seeming to disappear.
