Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: All properties around all the instances of SCP-XXXX are to be acquired by the Foundation and made inaccessible to people outside the Foundation possible. Properties surrounding each SCP-XXXX instance are to be turned into Foundation controlled area with at least two observation posts and one base of operations for an on-site MTF team. MTF Psi-7 ("Home Improvement") can be utilized for this purpose if necessary. In all cases instances of SCP-XXXX are to be kept under a constant surveillance either through surveillance cameras or by Foundation personnel physically observing the instance.
Any civilian interaction with the anomaly or intrusion into the anomaly are to be prevented primarily by Foundation personnel stationed around the anomaly and by on-site MTF teams if the intruder proves to be more persistent. On-site MTF force should not exceed 5 operatives in order to avoid attracting unnecessary attention. MTFs Epsilon-6 ("Village Idiots"), Iota-10 ("Damn Feds") and Pi-1 ("City Slickers") have been found effective units for purposes of apprehending intruders without stirring unwanted attention. All civilians caught attempting to interact or enter the anomaly are to be administered Class Ä amnestics and released.
From 7/6/1998 onwards no Foundation personnel are to be allowed inside the XXXX-A apart from D-class for any time exceeding an hour. Interaction without time limit with the anomaly is still allowed from outside XXXX-A's borders. For more details see Addendum XXXX-A1 and Incident Logs XXXX-I1 and -I2.
Description: SCP-XXXX is anomalous location consisting of a previously vacant residence now possessed by the SCP, a possible property of the residence and a family living inside them. Instances of SCP-XXXX have been found from all around the world and the true number of these instances is unknown. Since discovery 268 instances have been reported, out of which ÄÄ are still active. In the following documentation the residence and the possible property are refered to as XXXX-A. The family living within XXXX-A can consist of four kinds of distinct enteties: father, mother, their children and family pet or pets. In further documentation parents of the family are refered to as XXXX-B entities, their children as XXXX-C entities. Family pets are from here on referenced as XXXX-D entities.
All parts of SCP-XXXX have been noted to be statistically average in the most literal sense. Everything from their appearance to their activities, dimensions and other properties follow the averages of the surrounding ÄÄÄÄ. Current hypothesis SCP-XXXX suggest that it functions as an average representation of this area. All Foundation personnel and D-class subjects have described facial features and voices of XXXX-B and -C instances as bland, unremarkable and normal. Researchers have arranged mock health check ups for these entities to measure their weight, height, eye sight and similar physical characteristics. The results from these test have aligned with the averages of the ÄÄÄ where the tested instances were located. For detailed descriptions of these tests see Test Log XXXX-T1. In some cases one of the XXXX-C entities present in an instance of SCP-XXXX have been recorded to be only partially physical. In these cases the average amount of children in one family is not a whole number and thus a partial XXXX-C entity is born1. These partial entities appear as a human shaped distortion with a certain portion of a child can be seen. Size of the visible portion is dictated by the statistical average amount of children in the ÄÄÄÄ the given instance is located in and the visible portion will slowly shift from one part of the body to another and internal parts of the body can be seen when looking at the visible portion of the entity from a right angle.
SCP-XXXX-B entities have been observed to have jobs similar to any non-anomalous set of parents. Similarly SCP-XXXX-C instances have been observed leaving to and returning from school, hobbies and other activities typical to normal children. The family has also been observed to perform various criminal activities like drug abuse, murder, acts of domestic violence and other similar activities. The frequency of these activities has been observed to correspond recorded averages of the surrounding ÄÄÄÄ. For more details see Test Log XXXX-T2. Activities of XXXX-B, -C and -D entities are limited to a set radius around XXXX-A. Outside of this radius all SCP-XXXX entities fade away after a short distance. Testing indicates that size of the radius and the distance after which the entities disappear is dependent on population density of the surrounding ÄÄÄÄ. Both distances decrease rapidly as population density increases. For more details see Test Log XXXX-T3.
Personnel observing or interacting with have reported that human entities of SCP-XXXX perform an amount of activities daily that are not possible for a normal human to perform within 24 hours. Further testing has indicated that SCP-XXXX possesses a time warping quality and anyone interacting or observing the anomaly can witness more actions performed by human entities of SCP-XXXX happen at a pace considered normal, that normally do not fit within a 24-hour time period. While observing SCP-XXXX any actions performed by people directly observing the anomaly happen at similar accelerated phase to anomaly itself. Second hand observers are not effect by this quality. For more details see Test Logs XXXX-T2.
All instances and entities have been observed to have a limited lifespan and age like non-anomalous lifeforms. XXXX-B and -C entities are recorded to have the exact statistical average age for a non-anomalous human being of the surrounding ÄÄÄÄ. Similarly XXXX-D entities have been recorded to have statistical average lifespan for a non-anomalous family pet. Upon every last entity of SCP-XXXX expiring, XXXX-A will return to it's original non-anomalous state and all the possessions of the family will disappear. Only evidence of SCP-XXXX left behind are signs of wear and tear one can expect resulting from a family living within the residence. New instances of SCP-XXXX can appear either spontaneously or as a result of XXXX-C entity migrating to a new location. XXXX-C entities have been recorded to move away from their original instance to another vacant residence, thus spawning a new instance of SCP-XXXX. This event will occur when XXXX-C reaches an age where a non-anomalous child would move away to pursue a career, higher education or similar objectives. After migration XXXX-C entities will continue to age and eventually transition into XXXX-B entities and first spawn another XXXX-B entity and then new XXXX-C entities. XXXX-C entity’s age when these events happen have been recorded to correspond statistical average ages for acquiring a life partner and acquiring children for non-anomalous humans. Preceding the spawning of new XXXX-C entities, female XXXX-B entities are in a state identical to pregnancy of non-anomalous women and new XXXX-C entities will spawn after statistically average length of pregnancy recorded for the surrounding ÄÄÄÄ. The number of children in any given instance of SCP-XXXX will always match the statistical average of the surrounding ÄÄÄÄ.
Discovery: The first instance of SCP-XXXX was discovered on 4/7/19ÄÄ following police reports made by landlords reporting that one of their residences had suddenly become occupied after becoming recently vacant. Whether or not this is the first instance of SCP-XXXX is unknown. No rental contract or any other agreement about present tenants moving into the residence was made. Report made to the police also mentioned that unexpectedly showed residents were described by the landlord as “the most uncanny humans I’ve ever had living on the property”. Foundation agents infiltrated in the local police immediately set out to limit police investigation into the case and to contain the anomaly. Containment of the anomaly and closure of the police case about it were achieved on 11/7/19ÄÄ. Following the report made by the agents Foundation soon discovered ÄÄÄ more instances of SCP-XXXX from around the world.
Addendum-XXXX-A1: Dr. Holm, leading researcher assigned to SCP-XXXX, has requested that all access inside SCP-XXXX-A and -B is to be restricted to maximum of 1 hour inside XXXX-A and -B from any Foundation personnel from 1/6/1998 onwards. Reasons for these restrictions are incidents described in Incident Log XXXX-I1 and -I2.

Addendum-XXXX-A2: After several conversations with different site directors Dr. Holm has submitted a proposal for a permission to house Foundation personnel from projects, that need to have their researchers and other staff be rotated periodically, around instances of SCP-XXXX. This was rationalized with alleviating civilian attention and intrusions to SCP-XXXX instances by creating a Foundation controlled area around each and housing rotated staff in mostly normal civilian conditions would improve morale for especially staff working on more taxing projects.
Proposal accepted

Addendum-XXXX-A3: Following Addendum-XXXX-A2 one house or other property around every instance of SCP-XXXX is to be designated to function as a base of operations for an MTF unit, that prevents all civilian interaction and intrusion to SCP-XXXX. At least two other properties are to be designated observation post for observing the SCP itself as well as civilian movement around the anomaly. All other possible properties around SCP-XXXX can be designated for housing Foundation personnel as described in Addendum-XXXX-A2.
