Special Containment Procedures: SCP-xxxx is to be contained in a secured greenhouse 10x10x5 meters in total area with stainless steel sheets prepared to cover all windows remotely (See The Pompeii Protocol). On the western and eastern wall, a 3x3 plot is to be positioned one (1) meter from the greenhouse walls. Within each plot, compressed nitrogen is kept, in sealed containers rigged to explode. Sprinklers installed directly above the plots are to be activated twice a day, once at dusk and once at dawn. Sprinklers are not to be left on for longer than five (5) minuets.
Temperature within the containment cell is to always range from 68 to 78 degrees Fahrenheit as to guarantee the growth of xxxx. A pressure system is also in place to be able to regulate the amount of SCP-xxxx-1 from SCP-xxxx.
Ducts on the floor of the containment chamber are to lead to a bio-hazard disposal sub level of Site-x. Ducts are to always be open (to avoid pressure rises) unless in the case of a breach. Most effective way for disposal of SCP-xxxx-1 is to inject it deep into the mantel of the Earth.
Note: Above procedure is not recommended, and discovery of additional methods are Priority Level 9.
No personnel are to enter into the containment area without full bio-hazard suits and previous cautionary procedure as well as the following:
- It is required that only one (1) Class D personnel are to be within the containment chamber.
- The D Class personnel are to have an extra oxygen tank while in the containment chamber but cannot apply it until administered to do so.
- They must have AT LEAST one (1) Class B personnel monitoring the suit of the Class D personnel within the chamber and are to instruct them of their tasks.
- If there are any noted leaks or breaches in the suit, or if the class D, in any way, become a case of SCP-xxxx-2 they are to be terminated imminently and quickly recovered for research.
Two armed guards are to be stationed outside of the containment doors at all times, and are required to wear bio-hazard safety attire and equipped with gas masks. Sensors on each guard are to be on at all times to detect any trace of xxxx-1. If xxxx-1 is detected, the facility is to go into immediate lock down and all personnel within a 10 meter radius are to be contained and are marked Class E and are to be quarantined and closely monitored for a two week period. All personnel showing any signs of becoming a case of xxxx-2 are to be terminated immediately.
Any personnel tampering, or attempting to tamper, with the temperature or pressure system are to be terminated immediately.
Pompeii Protocol: In case of breach of SCP-xxxx-1 or SCP-xxxx, the widows of the greenhouse are be covered with the steel "curtains" to guarantee the lack of sunlight. The explosives within the ducts under the containment chamber are to be detonated, causing the greenhouse to be buried. Approximately seven (7) minuets after the ducts detonate, the compressed nitrogen explodes, causing the interior to be submerged in freezing temperatures. All Class D staff are to be terminated and Site-x is to go into lock down until the breach is contained.
Description: SCP-xxxx is, biologically, grass. SCP-xxxx doesn't grow any larger than 20 cm, and is a dark shade of grey. This cause of this is believed to be because the grass does not need the sun to survive and in no way uses photosynthesis. It it is not exactly clear as to how xxxx gains nutrients.
