Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is a reporter/journalist press pass clipped to a lanyard. The pass belongs to someone named Brandon ██████████, expired on June ██, 200█, and a barcode scanner number of █████-██████. The picture on the card shows a blonde Asian male, presumably in his late 40's to early 50's. These details remain the same not matter who the current host of SCP-XXXX-1 is. The phone number on SCP-XXXX-1 appears to be deactivated, as calling the number will result in silence.

SCP-XXXX-2 is a black ███████-brand camcorder. The camcorder requires AA batteries to function. The batteries it was originally discovered with show no anomalous properties. Subjects who hold SCP-XXXX-2 without wearing SCP-XXXX-1 report a feeling of wrongness while holding it.

+ Anomalous Properties

Anomalous Properties: When a subject wears SCP-XXXX-1 and holds SCP-XXXX-2, it will become SCP-XXXX-1's host, being referred to as SCP-XXXX-3. SCP-XXXX-3 instances will only respond to the name Brandon. SCP-XXXX-3 will roam around, using SCP-XXXX-2 to record anything it finds interesting (paintings, insects, people, etc.) Instances of SCP-XXXX-3 show a higher interest in recording certain things that they were previously interested in before becoming SCP-XXXX-1's host. When an instance of SCP-XXXX-3 successfully records something it likes for a certain period of time (usually around 1-3 minutes), SCP-XXXX-3's brain will release large amounts of dopamine. These amounts can be compared to the effects of methamphetamine. No other side effects are shown from this other than very exaggerated happiness.

SCP-XXXX-3 will usually take about 12-15 recordings in a single session, and will then attempt to find a small, quiet room. After SCP-XXXX-3 enters this room, it will sit down against a wall and watch these recordings. SCP-XXXX-3 instances have been noted whispering things such as, "oh, that's a good shot," and "Mr. ███████ will love this," while watching. After each recording ends, brain activity shows a massive dopamine release. SCP-XXXX-3 will replay these recordings for multiple hours at a time.

Removal of SCP-XXXX-1 from instances of SCP-XXXX-3 will cause SCP-XXXX-3 to become hostile to the point of requiring physical restraints. This hostility lasts only 3 hours after the removal SCP-XXXX-1. After this period of hostility, SCP-XXXX-3 will usually be described as the same as they were before their interaction with SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-3 will begin responding to their usual name, and will no longer exhibit an interest in photography (unless it was already an interest of theirs beforehand).

SCP-XXXX-3 instances will begin showing signs of anxiety within 2 days of the removal of SCP-XXXX-1. Interviews with SCP-XXXX-3 instances who begin experiencing this will usually result in SCP-XXXX-3 attributing these symptoms to "feeling like they're about to get fired from their job." These anxiety symptoms can be alleviated by normal anxiety medications.

+ Containment

Containment: SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 are being kept in a level-1 anomalous object storage unit in Site-██, in Storage Locker #219. Experimentation may only be conducted with permission of the site manager, and may only be carried out by level-3 research personnel. Experimentation is to take place in Sector-7's EXPR-35 room, which has been specially constructed for experimentation with SCP-XXXX. Experimentation is to be conducted on Class-D personnel. SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 must be returned to Storage Locker #219 within 2 days. Class-D personnel are not allowed to be in contact with SCP-XXXX-1 or SCP-XXXX-2 for periods longer than 5 hours, unless special permissions are given by an O5 council member. Class-D personnel who have been in contact with SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 and have experienced the 3-hour period of hostility are to be monitored for 3 weeks, with anxiety medication prescribed to them after the first week.
