Today I have learned of a city I must attempt to cure. A priest of iron has guided me on a path towards the Kingdom of Adytum, where the people, he said, are not quite man, not quite beast. He said that he believes this city to be the home of the pestilence my life's work seeks to eradicate. If he is correct, and the pestilence truly does live within the walls of this city, I must see to the treatment of the ill before seeing to the eradication of the source. I cannot bear the mere thought of how the people are suffering. The priest has lended me many maps and books concerning Adytum, its people, its rule and most importantly, its unusual faith. I will endeavor to study these books during my evening rests and, hopefully, use the knowledge within to progress my cure and elevate the poor souls of Adytum of the pestilence
Incident Log: 049-2075-A
On August 8th, 2020, SCP-049 fully breached containment 3 days after the transfer of SCP-2075 to Site-██. Subject was recontained by security without resistance. SCP-2075 was found unresponsive inspection revealed SCP-049 had preformed a partial surgery on SCP-2075 before recontainment. Portions of its cerebrum, spinal cord and limbs were removed, lungs removed entirely. Removed items were discovered resting on the floor near SCP-2075's cadaver. SCP-2075 reclassified as decommissioned, SCP-049 reclassified as Keter
Three days since departure: I have taken to reading the books provided by the kind priest before each rest. I was nearly halfway through the chapter on architecture when i noticed the conspicuous lack of fashion or cuisine in the previous chapter on culture. Certainly, Adytum, being such a far off land, would have quite dissimilar fashion or cuisine to those of Venice or London. Surly at least one non-native has visited or else the book of my study would be falsehoods. Perhaps it is an oversight, perhaps not. For now, I must rest
