Item #: SCP-###
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-### is to remain in its holding facility at all times. Only authorized personnel may examine and move SCP-###. Any material is to be removed from SCP-###-1’s head after examination. If any unusual activity happens in SCP-###’s holding cell, immediately inform Class C personnel or above.
Description: SCP-###-1 appears to be an axe with a smooth wooden handle and an opaque steel head. The axe is 90 cm long. It weighs an estimated 1 kg. It’s wedged in a tree stump, SCP-###-2. SCP-###-2 is 51.2 cm tall and 107.1 cm in diameter. The area of SCP-###-2 surrounding SCP-###-1 is made of the same material as the SCP-###-1’s head, steel. It seems the steel is slowly turning SCP-###-2 into steel.
SCP-### was found in North Sabah, Malaysia. A local fisherman was fishing in the river when he saw SCP-### near the shore. Several steel animals were found near SCP-###. The fisherman was shocked and called the police straightaway. The Foundation got word a few days later. SCP-###-1 seemed irremovable at the time so they had to take SCP-###-2 as well.
Upon further examination, SCP-###-1 would turn almost everything that makes contact with its head into steel almost instantaneously. If its head comes in contact with other metals such as gold, anything that makes contact with it will turn into that metal. Such as if the head is coated with titanium, anything that touches the titanium will turn into titanium.
Although SCP-###-1 can turn anything into any metal at any time, the transformation is faster under hot temperatures while it is slower under colder temperatures. However, this does not explain how SCP-###-2 hasn’t completely transformed yet.
If SCP-###-1 is separated from SCP-###-2, SCP-###-1 will start to vibrate. If it hasn’t returned to SCP-###-2, SCP-###-1’s head will start to glow in a fairly bright blue color. During this period, all metal on it will be torn off and whatever is holding it will lose all muscle function. In moments, it will turn everything around it, regardless if it is making contact with its head, into steel. Once freed, SCP-###-1 will fly to SCP-###-2 at an accelerating rate starting at 65 km/h and will return to its original state once returned to SCP-###-2.
Addendum SCP-###-A: The following is a report from the first experiment in which a Class D personnel is exposed to SCP-### in hopes to separate SCP-###-1 from SCP-###-2.
Personnel is released into SCP-###’s holding cell. Personnel slowly walks towards SCP-###.
Personnel: [holds SCP-### by its handle] [grunts] [SCP-###-1 is separated from SCP-###-2]
SCP-###-2: [steel pieces fell on the floor]
Personnel: [throws SCP-###-1 from one hand to another]
SCP-###-1: [starts vibrating]
Personnel: [exclaimed] Hey! What is this?!
SCP-###-1: [glows blue]
Personnel: [body shrivels up] [loud scream of pain] [drops SCP-###-1]
SCP-###-1: [flies to SCP-###-2]
The experiment was ended. The Class D Personnel was carried to the medical bay on a stretcher. In 20 minutes, he fully recoverd.
