Special Containment Procedures: SCP-698 is to be kept in a wooden box in storage Area-██-a at Site-██. The room must be checked weekly for any water density or water leaks. Under no circumstances should water be brought in it's chamber. Security clearance has been raised to Level 5 due to incident-██a.

Description: SCP-698 resembles a black crystal of unknown material. It appears to be Invulnerable to any type of damage. It was discovered, after the Investigation of some fishers missing. SCP-698 was floating approximately 1,32m (4,3 ft) over the Middle of Lake-[REDACTED]. The lake seemed to be covered in some unknown black Liquid. In the Middle of the lake was a unknown white liquid, which was approximately 3400°C (6,152°F) hot. SCP-698 itself had a temperature of 3°C (37,4°F). After it was brought in Containment at Site-██ in Storage area-██-a, it was discovered that if SCP-698 comes into contact with any type of water, it will turn the water into a portal to a dimension designated SCP-698-J. After 1-2 hours of the portal being opened humanoid creatures, designated SCP-698-1, start crawling out of the portal. The creatures seem to have no legs, floating above the ground, approximately 1,2m (3,9ft). The creatures seem to be hostile to any living organism coming in a radius of 3m (9,8ft). They kill they're prey, by ripping out it's Spine, (See incident-██a). It seems that living beings can enter the portal. Further exploration is required. SCP-698-1 mostly has 6 eyes in it's face (there can be up to 12 Eyes.), and hasn't got a open mouth. It usually open It's face, to kill it's pray. SCP-698-1 is resistant to almost all type of damage. Only Electricity damages it, and even kills it, in which case SCP-698-1 will evaporate into white particles. Note: No tests has been required to classify SCP-698. Any tests on SCP-698 has been denied, and will be denied, due to Incident-██a.
