SCP-XXXX

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:
Due to the immense size of SCP-XXXX, along with its distance from Earth and proximity to the sun (see addendum xxxx), there are no current means to physically contain it. Instead, steps are to be taken to suppress public knowledge and investigation of SCP-XXXX, with foundation representatives generating cover stories to conceal the true nature of SCP-XXXX. Any observatories advanced enough to view the SCP are to be immediately redirected, with any witnesses being offered the falsified explanation. If witness(es) persist in observations of SCP-XXXX, class A amnestics are to be utilized, and subject(s) is to be monitored for two weeks.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a massive, light absorbing entity in low orbit of the star Sol, positioned approximately 61.93 degrees south of the solar equator, and maintains a static longitudinal position due to the lack of any substantial orbital velocity. SCP-XXXX stays at a constant 390,495.5 kilometers from the surface of the sun, with a maximum-minimum deviation of approximately plus or minus 24.4 kilometers. Due to the light absorbing properties of XXXX, current estimations of position and size are relatively inaccurate, however it is estimated that the main body of XXXX is up to 125,000 kilometers in diameter.
The physical "body" of SCP-XXXX is observed to be spherical in nature, with several large tendrils protruding out at apparent random angles. These tendrils vary in length, with some lengths exceeding the estimated diameter of XXXX's main body. The purpose of these tendrils is theorized to be the primary form of intake of matter and electromagnetic radiation.
