Description: SCP-4792 is the hallway of an apartment building located at ████ Creek Apartments in Omaha, Nebraska. The hallway is located on the far side of the lobby with a large wooden door leading up to it. Once the door is entered, should persons look to their left, facing the west side of the building, before proceeding down the right corridor, no anomalous activity will occur. However, should an individual move through the door and proceed right, without checking their flank, an instance of SCP-4792-1 will manifest. Upon manifestation, a disembodied voice will then shout, "On your mark, get set, go!" and then engage in a foot race with the individual. Should SCP-4792-1 pass the individual in said race, targeted person will become an instance of SCP-4792-1. Should the target beat SCP-4792-1 in the race, the disembodied voice will then shout, "Maybe next time!" and SCP-4792-1 will disappear. SCP-4792-1 intstances will only generate when one individual is present in SCP-4792.
SCP-4792 was discovered on ██/██/████ after numerous disappearances were reported in the area. Missing persons were recovered consecutively, in the same repeated area, over a period of several days. Interviews with affected persons yielded reports of being trapped within the complex hallway. During these periods of entrapment, affected persons reported becoming "invisible," and being unable to communicate with other persons or interact with their environment. Upon discovery of SCP-4792, the building containing the SCP was condemned under a cover story of "black mold" and all residents were relocated.
