Item #: SCP-4755
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4755-1 is to be contained in a small, locked box (around 10 cm3 in size) made of Neodymium metal only to be opened by Dr. Haltmann Dr. Caesar’s master key. The box itself is to be stored in a cylindrical room with a radius of 100 meters with a podium in the center. Ensure the box can only be accessed via a single passage (preferably a bridge) over some form of hazard to organic life (preferably a pit). The door to SCP-4755-1’s room is to be locked and require 5 individuals' keys to open to ensure the safety of on-site personnel. Energy disruption fields are to be in place around SCP-4755-1 to prevent individuals from phasing through the walls or materializing inside the containment chamber.
Nobody is to attempt communication with SCP-4755-1. Do not enter SCP-4755-1’s room alone under any circumstances.
SCP-4755-2 is to be contained in an apartment building-sized laboratory where it may tinker to its heart’s content. SCP-4755-2 is allowed free roam through Site-██ SCP-4755-2 is to be contained in a normal humanoid containment chamber with a temperature at around 23 Kelvin. Neodymium metal must line all windows, doors, and walls. Energy dispersement fields are to be placed inside the room to prevent SCP-4755-2 from phasing through walls or teleporting outside of containment. SCP-4755-2 must be kept sedated at all times. SCP-4755-2 is to wear a monitoring device on its arm. If SCP-4755-2 attempts to remove this device, it must be rendered unconscious through a dose of anesthetic administered through a hypodermic needle stored within its monitoring device. The same precautions must be taken if SCP-4755-2 shows any signs of heightened aggression or disregard for the conventional laws of physics. In the event that SCP-4755-2 breaches containment, excessive force is authorized. Reduce SCP-4755-2 to an immobile state, and return it to its containment chamber. Ensure SCP-4755-1 and SCP-4755-2 are kept apart, preferably as far apart as possible.
Description: SCP-4755-1 is a small, transparent spherical object assumed to possess a radius of 45 mm. Analysis show that there is no known matter comprising the entity, despite it having the properties of a solid object. Measurements also show that the innermost part of the object has a temperature of 0 Kelvin. Attempts to increase the temperature using combustion, fission/fusion heating, and exposure to cosmic radiation have all been met with failure. Attempts to transport the object by any means other than through SCP-4755-2 or Neodymium-plated vessels have been met with the complete decomposition of the matter into fundamental particles, which are then absorbed by SCP-4755-1. SCP-4755-1 has also been observed levitating a few millimeters above the ground on its own.
SCP-4755-2, formerly known as ███████ ██████, is an English-speaking young adult human male approximately 1.93 meters tall. SCP-4755-2 tends to weigh about 49 kilograms at any given time and is very pale in complexion. SCP-4755-2 seems peaceful, and even helps on research projects at times SCP-4755-2 seems to be mentally unstable, exhibiting symptoms of schizophrenia and psychosis. Though it usually remains idle, often mumbling to itself and cackling, it occasionally enters an angered state. This angered state activates when any entity references SCP-4755-1, regardless of if by name. Things that SCP-4755-2 have been observed doing in its active state include:
- Unintelligible screeching / yelling
- Attacking anything it sees
- Creating illusions / audiovisual effects
- Walking through solid objects
- Conjuring items up from seemingly nowhere
- Jumping through space and time
And, most prominently:
- Frantically attempting to reach SCP-4755-1
SCP-4755-2 can exist in the same room as SCP-4755-1 without becoming enraged, though stronger sedative than usual is required. SCP-4755-2 noticeably acts different than usual in the presence of SCP-4755-1, often losing its otherwise carefree personality and being extremely serious SCP-4755-2 is not to be let in the same room as SCP-4755-1. It enters an even more dangerous state, speaking primarily in Latin and a currently untranslatable tongue. It appears to be substancially more agressive in SCP-4755-1's presence. SCp-4755-2 is the only individual known to be able to communicate with SCP-4755-1 and hold it without dematerializing. Regardless of anything the entity says, DO NOT OPEN THE BOX.
SCP-4755-1 and SCP-4755-2 were first found outside ███████ ███████, ████████████, United States, on the date of ██/██/2012. An ambulance picked up SCP-4755-2 at the request of SCP-4755-2’s guardians after SCP-4755-2 suffered a concussion and a skull fracture equivalent to being struck over the head with a heavy club. This was presumably caused by SCP-4755-1, though how it managed to strike SCP-4755-2 over the head remains unclear. After being admitted to the ██████████ Hospital, SCP-4755-2 suddenly regained consciousness despite being given anesthesia. After questioning the nurses, SCP-4755-2 appeared to manually rectify the break in its skull and remove SCP-4755-1 from its pocket. It then attached SCP-4755-1 to its sternum, then proceeded to emit a wave of luminescent energy that instantly dematerialized the entire hospital.
SCP-4755-2 underwent drastic physical changes upon attaching SCP-4755-1 to its sternum. SCP_4755-2 promptly grew to a much larger size. Its skin and clothes melded together into a pitch-black humanoid form. SCP-4755-2 was also observed sprouting some form of wings from its back and flying away. Notably, SCP-4755-1 emitted an ever-changing spectrum of colored light while SCP-4755-2 was in this state. This same light was observed in a line pattern crossing through the newly-empowered SCP-4755-2 in various locations, notably the area where SCP-4755-1 was mounted, the eyes, and in patterns on the wings. In a time coinciding with this activation, Foundation monitoring devices picked up an energy spike of an unprecedented size, about ███ the power of the last recorded solar flare. It existed in this state for a supposed 34 minutes before the energy spike associated with it ceased. Before being separated, SCP-4755 caused ██,███,███ civilian casualties [PUT FOOTNOTE HERE]. How SCP-4755 was deactivated to a safe state is unknown.
SCP-4755 was brought to Site-██ two days after it activated for the first time. SCP-4755-2 was unconscious, but kept a secure grip on SCP-4755-1. SCP-4755-1 emitted the same light spectrum as it did in the initial tapes, albeit to a much lesser degree. After safely on site, Foundation personnel attempted numerous means to remove SCP-4755-1 from SCP-4755-2’s impossibly strong grip. After direct contact with SCP-4755-1 caused a decomposition of a Foundation scientist, D-class personnel were sent in to remove the spherical entity from the hand of the humanoid. Attempts included:
- Removing SCP-4755-1 with a fork (decomposition and absorption of 2 D-class personnel)
- Attempting to cut off SCP-4755-2’s hand with a cobalt-infused steel knife (dulling of knife)
- Shooting at SCP-4755-1 with a Kalashnikov rifle (no effect)
- Using a 300,000 watt laser to cut of SCP-4755-2’s fingers (SCP-4755-1 bent the light toward itself and absorbed it. Entity subsequently emitted a pulse and dematerialized all D-class personnel in the room, instantly killing them)
- Neodymium magnets to pry open the hand (intense burns to SCP-4755-2 and luminous reaction from SCP-4755-1, which physically moved SCP-4755-2’s hand to escape the metal)
- A knife made of Neodymium metal cutting off the hand of SCP-4755-2 (successful, decomposition of 1 D-class when attempting to lift the hand and accidentally touching SCP-4755-1. SCP-4755-1 notably emitted some form of luminescent energy to reform SCP-4755-2’s hand, a process which took about 12 second to complete. Hand was initially the same black color observed during the rampage of ██/██/2012, but quickly returned to the pale color present in the rest of SCP-4755-2)
A small containment chamber was constructed for SCP-4755-1 out of Neodymium after seeing how both SCP-4755-1 and SCP-4755-2 reacted to the metal. SCP-4755-1 was successfully secured in the chamber and transported to its current containment location. A single key was given to Dr. Haltmann, and outer lock keys were given to Dr. Haltmann, Junior Researcher Eris Warner, Dr. Caesar, Dr. Alvar, and Dr. Cimmerian. SCP-4755-2 reawakened a few minutes after SCP-4755-1 was separated from it. The entity appeared to retain its mind (for the most part), and appeared friendly when sedated. It often helped with research projects, even given the honorary title of Doctor. It expressed intense interest in the creation of new devices, often dismantling Foundation equipment without permission and creating sophisticated devices of numerous function. When not sedated, however, SCP-4755-2 appeared anxious to the point of aggression, often lashing out and attacking staff members. During one large on-site containment breach, SCP-4755-2 became enraged and destroyed 15 Foundation personnel before being re-sedated. Eventually, SCP-4755-2 was given its current containment chamber and was no longer permitted free-range human interaction. The Foundation conducted numerous trials with SCP-4755-2, including an interview.
Interviewed: SCP-4755-2
Interviewer: Dr. Haltmann, accompanied by 3 D-class personnel with recording equipment and 2 security officers
<Begin Log, 23:30, 12/09/2015>
Dr. Haltmann: Good day to you, 4755.
SCP-4755-2: Good day to you as well. Where shall we begin?
Dr. Haltmann: Well, let’s start on the night of ██/██/2012. Do you remember anything from that night?
SCP-4755-2: Not really. All I remember was coming home on Christmas Break from college when my vision went out and I awoke in this place.
Dr. Haltmann: Interesting. Moving on, how did you become so adept with technology?
SCP-4755-2: Well, I went to ████████ ██████ University in Pittsburgh, and I majored in Robotics engineering. But, I don’t remember doing anything quite the level of what I do now.
Subject looks at ceiling
SCP-4755-2: Look at me now, Professor! Worst student, my ass!
Two D-class personnel snicker. SCP-4755-2 turns to them and gives them a cold glare.
Dr. Haltmann, to one of the D-class: Please don’t antagonize him.
D-47326: Fine.
Dr. Haltmann: Moving on to our next question: What do you know about the small, spherical object that you were found with on the ██rd of ████████ ?
Subject becomes visibly anxious when the name is said. Subject rises from chair and begins pacing.
SCP-4755-2: (unintelligible rambing)
SCP-4755-2 begins emitting light from the chest and develops an afterimage. Recordings become noticeably more spotty during this section of the interview.
SCP-4755-2: The Singularity? Where is it? It hurts not being near it. Where is it?
Subject moves abnormally fast and grabs a fleeing D-class around the neck, hoisting her into the air.
SCP-4755-2, in latin: Where is it?
An armed guard (#1) attempts to remove the D-class from the grip of SCP-4755-2. SCP-4755-2 exhibits a previously unrecorded trait and throws the armed guard across the room without making any form of physical contact, presumably using the same kind of energy from which it conjures items. Sedative is administered.
Dr. Haltmann: Well, that went well. We’ll have to run a test with its counterpart sometime.
SCP-4755-2, very loopy: (unintelligible nonsense and snickering)
Dr. Haltmann: 4755, could you please cooperate?
SCP-4755-2: Huh? Oh, sure, Halty.
SCP-4755-2 giggles nonsensically, conjuring up a small spheroid which it proceeds to bounce on the floor next to it. Dr. Haltmann jots something down after observing this.
Dr. Haltmann: Ok. We have one question left for you: what is “The Cycle” that you’ve been observed speaking of?
This seems to knock SCP-4755-2 out of its laughing fit.
SCP-4755-2: What do you mean by that?
Dr. Haltmann, to himself: It seems to not remember things it says or does in its active state. Interesting.
Haltmann jots a few sentences in a journal, then turns back to SCP-4755-2.
Dr. Haltmann: Alrighty, that will do. Thanks, 4755.
SCP-4755-2: No problem.
<End Log, 11:42, 12/09/2015>
Closing Statement: SCP-4755-2 was returned to its containment without issue. “Matter Manipulation” was added to the list of things SCP-4755-2 could do without direct exposure to SCP-4755-1. Name used for SCP-4755-1 noted.
A few weeks following the initial interview, the Foundation decided to run an interview on SCP-4755-2 with SCP-4755-1 in the room. SCP-4755-2 had to be restrained using Neodymium bracing and movement incapacitators. Sedation seems to have no effect on SCP-4755-2 while SCP-4755-1 is directly present. To prevent SCP-4755-2 from anonymously teleporting or phasing through its bracing, an energy dispersion field was established.
Interviewed: SCP-4755
Interviewer: Dr. Haltmann, 10 armed guards
Foreword: the interview is translated from Latin, and, as such, may contain transcription errors.
<Begin Log, 15:24, 29/09/2015>
SCP-4755, through SCP-4755-2: Good day, Dr. Haltmann.
Dr. Haltmann: To you as well, 4755. We’ve come to ask you some ques—
SCP-4755: Cease. You talk to much, Doctor. Before you ask your questions, I have a question of my own. Could you let me out of this wretched box? It is ever so dark in here. The Vessel awaits me.
Dr. Haltmann: The Vessel?
SCP-4755: Yes. You keep it locked away, cased it in a coffin. A foul, reeking tomb. The Purpose cannot be achieved, no, no. Not like this. Too many…obstacles. But, we will find a way nonetheless.
At this point, energy readings from inside the box are skyrocketing. Recordings become spotty past this point. SCP-4755-2 appears visibly distressed.
Dr. Haltmann: Okay then. Don't get too excited, we just want to ask some questions.
SCP-4755: What you ask, I shall answer.
Dr. Haltmann: Do you remember the night of ██/██/2012?
SCP-4755: Yes. The End of the Cycle. Except it was not. There was a miscalculation, and the Cycle could not renew. Treachery from mine own arms.
Dr. Haltmann: Could you care to explain this…Cycle? Does it have anything to do with this “Purpose” you mentioned?
The visual component of the recording becomes extremely distorted by this point. Audio is wavering.
SCP-4755: Everything has a terminus. Reality does as well. It is my job to…reset it. Forcefully. Bring it back to zero, then start the timer again. The Cycle Eternal. The Eternal Cycle.
A loud, metallic hiss can be heard emanating from the box. SCP-4755-2’s eyes begin emitting a spectrum of multicolored light, similar to how it acted upon its initial activation.
SCP-4755: When things pass their expiration date, those things go bad. There are…anomalies that develop. Things beyond this feeble reality can enter, infiltrate, and lay their seed. Please, good Haltmann, let me free so I may save you from (unintelligible).
Dr. Haltmann, after considerable thought: Hm. I suppose it would be better to reset reality than to let it fall to other things.
Dr. Haltmann proceeds to arise from his chair and remove SCP-4755-2 from the cast. The chamber is screaming.
Armed Guard #3, in English: Haltmann, what are you doing?
Dr. Haltmann, in English: Rectifying the Cycle.
SCP-4755-2 takes the key from Haltmann. An armed guard opens fire.
[Data Expunged]
SCP-4755-2 is reduced to a steaming pile of blood, but already begins to regenerate. SCP-4755-1 is removed from the room through an automated drone. The last guard collapses, weeping.
<End Log, 15:31, 29/09/2015>
Closing Statement: Keeping SCP-4755 together is an awful idea. The resulting breach was successfully stopped, but we will need a lot of temporary staff before we can replace the majority of the staff of Site-██. Dr. Haltmann is to report to a psychiatric ward for mental testing, and the key is to be given to Dr. Caesar. Security personnel █████ █████ is to undertake rigorous therapy and then relieved of her duty. SCP-4755 is supposedly able to initiate both a ZK-Class End of Reality scenario and a Z1-Class reality reset. It is unknown if the entity lied about this during its interview, but keep them apart nonetheless.
After this incident, SCP-4755-2 appeared to have had its mental state significantly altered for the worse. It was no longer friendly, but extremely disconnected from reality and panicked. For now, SCP-4755-2 will undertake bi-weekly mental screenings to determine what it has developed after a second contact with SCP-4755-1.
