Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:

SCP-XXXX is currently located in Site-19. It is to be contained in a steel cell with dimensions of 4m x 4m x 2m. This cell cannot contain any windows or any other method of which external light can enter the chamber other than the main entrance door. This cell is to be surrounded by another chamber of the same qualities, however this outer cell has dimensions of 6m x 6m x 4m. Inside the inner chamber four (4) floodlights of at least 70 watts are to be stationed in each of the four corners of the cell. Two (2) pressure sensors and two (2) motion sensors are present in SCP-XXXXs cell for monitoring. Both the inner and outer chamber are to be thoroughly checked daily for any decomposition or damage to the walls and repaired immediately if any damage is found. Authorization from at least two (2) personnel with a level 3 or higher clearance is required to access SCP-XXXX.

When entering the chamber for testing, personnel are to only have one (1) door open at any time. This is so no light from external sources reach the inside of SCP-XXXXs cell. In the event of a containment breach, all openings that lead outside of the facility are to be closed immediately until SCP-XXXX is contained.

Description:

SCP-XXXX exists in an unidentified frequency of the electromagnetic spectrum. SCP-XXXX is invisible to the naked eye and pressure/motion sensors are currently the only known ways to monitor SCP-XXXX. All known types of cameras including infrared and ultraviolet are unable to detect SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX can only move along areas where visible light exists. It has been observed that SCP-XXXX is unable to travel along areas of complete darkness or in areas where no light can reach. It is unknown whether SCP-XXXX is the only one of its kind because of its anomalous properties. It is possible that there are instances of SCP-XXXX which have not been contained but this is yet to be proven.

SCP-XXXX isn’t naturally hostile towards humans, but rather has a more curious approach. SCP-XXXX appears to be fascinated by humans and aware of the fact that it is unable to be seen. That said, SCP-XXXX can become extremely hostile if provoked. Actions that lead to such hostility include breaking one of the four flood lights in SCP-XXXXs cell, attempting to attack SCP-XXXX to the point where it thinks of the person as a threat, or attempting to obscure any visible light SCP-XXXX is currently occupying. Subjects who successfully agitate SCP-XXXX are never in the containment cell once testing is complete. No traces of the subject is present due to an unknown cause (see Experiment Log XXXX). SCP-XXXX is unable to communicate. SCP-XXXX has been shown to have a sufficient level of intelligence and has been able to communicate to staff by using pictures and symbols (see Experiment Log XXXX). It is currently unknown if SCP-XXXX is able to use any other method of communication such as spoken language.
