Affiefuu - The Elevator Operator
SCP-XXXX captured in Portugal, ███████, a frequent haunt.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently unable to be completely contained against the will of SCP-XXXX-1. Possible methods of long-term containment are being explored, but for the moment, force is not completely necessary or even possible to exert on SCP-XXXX or the entity within. Researchers are advised to remain polite and courteous to SCP-XXXX-1 due to SCP-XXXX’s tendency to vanish or remain off-limits to foundation staff for varying periods of time after conflict. SCP-XXXX-1 may be provided with things that a typical 14 year old girl may want to ensure co-operation but this is purely at the discretion of individual researchers. SCP-XXXX-1 prefers to converse with maternal female figures or younger male staff who could be described as “cute” or otherwise “handsome” by the standards of a 14 year old girl. Under no circumstances are threats to be made against SCP-XXXX or the entity within as this has proven to be an awful course of action in the past. Class-A Amnestics are mostly effective at removing memories related to the anomaly and should be applied. SPC-XXXX poses little threat to those who do not willingly enter it.
Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be an elevator with no overtly anomalous features from a glance. Further exploration and testing on SCP-XXXX has proven that the materials used in the construction of SCP-XXXX are not identifiable to any known materials, but looks like steel. The actual elevator regenerates at a rapid rate and external damage does not allow access to the insides. Movement of the object without the aid of SCP-XXXX-1 is outright impossible. These properties are not transferred to the surrounding area. SCP-XXXX is capable of remaining in a static position despite being completely unsupported.
The insides of the elevator are likewise typical of an elevator, but no means of controlling or moving the elevator are visible. The elevator has constant lighting despite any lack of electrical current running into it, and a mirror inside. The dimensions of the elevator shift to fit into the space it has relocated to. The style of the elevator may shift to suit it's environment and so no solid description or measurements can be provided here.
The elevator is capable of movement between space without actually passing through the intermediate distance, but this movement takes an amount of time that seems to be relatively random and unmeasurable. There have been no limits observed on this power, but the object prefers to rest within spaces where an elevator might fit normally. It seems important to note at this point that while SCP-XXXX can act as a normal elevator, the time it takes to travel up just one floor is normally not worth the wait.
SCP-XXXX-1 is described as an average young female who is remarkably fluent in any language spoken to her, though this is explained as a property of SCP-XXXX. Her appearance changes frequently, making her true ethnicity and origins indeterminable. Overall, SCP-XXXX-1 remains largely Caucasian, always female, and frequently with a fading Portuguese accent. This was the form that the foundation first made contact with SCP-XXXX-1 in, and it is assumed that this appearance is retained purposefully. SCP-XXXX-1 is estimated to be fourteen years of age judging by her appearance, and doesn’t seem to need to meet the biological needs of a human or a growing young lady. SCP-XXXX-1 has a friendly demeanour most of the time, can hold mature conversations and enjoys the company of others. The entity has claimed that she is incapable of leaving SCP-XXXX and has no desire to leave either way. SCP-XXXX-1 has no preference for any names offered to her by the foundation, but dislikes the clinical numbering system. SCP-XXXX-1 is assumed to have complete and total control over the elevator and the space within it. Recent revelations have called into question whether it is truly a separate entity. This line of questioning has brought on a number of uncharacteristically dark statements regarding existentialism and on one occasion, suicide, if such a thing is even possible. Linked to this, SCP-XXXX-1 displays extremely sadistic tendencies when challenged or violently threatened, and is capable of inflicting horrific amounts of unexplained trauma to those within SCP-XXXX.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered by Agent ███████ during an escape after having his cover blown during an operation in ██████ on ██/██/████. The agent described an elevator opening before him and the teenage girl inside as he'd reached a dimly lit dead end in a catacomb. He conversed with the girl inside after checking that he was safe, describing the conversation as comfortable. Agent ███████ does mention that he felt as if he were being carefully examined. Before the lift opened once more to Agent ███████'s home town, the girl said something along the lines of: "I hope that we will be seeing each other again soon, Mr ███████." The agent reports that he did not share his name at any point. The incident was reported to superiors immediately. From this point on, SCP-XXXX began to appear within several safe foundation sites.
Addendum 1: After Incident XXXX-1B, there will be no more attempts made to remove SCP-XXXX-1 from SCP-XXXX as this is largely pointless and at this point in time seems to be not worth the effort. Testing with other SCPs may prove to be disastrous if SCP-XXXX-1 catches onto our intentions and releases the anomaly back onto us in return.
Addendum 2: The entity is capable of linking D-Class back to us somehow as shown in Incident XXXX-1C, and that will be an end to any more suggestions regarding them. Even if we did not risk losing access to SCP-XXXX-1, the results are simply far too barbaric even for the foundation.
Addendum 3: SCP-XXXX-1 claims to be capable of altering or fabricating the memories of those who have entered her lift. This was described as having been a very useful ability over the years as it allowed SCP-XXXX-1 to fake divine intervention as an explanation for saved people. This ability has not been demonstrated on foundation staff yet or on anyone discovered to have been saved and so has not been mentioned elsewhere in this document. This does not mean that we do not have to use amnestics.
Incident XXXX-1A
Foreword: A lone agent with a recording device was sent into SCP-XXXX in an attempt to remove the residing entity. The agent was armed in case of resistance or a violent response. At this point, it has been confirmed that SCP-XXXX-1 has anomalous properties, but it is uncertain what exactly these properties are other than the ability to control SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-1 has shown no aggression or violent tendencies so far and generally acts to fit the age it is pretending to be.
Event: The agent tried to convince SCP-XXXX-1 to leave SCP-XXXX with no success. The discussion heats up until SCP-XXXX-1 is asked to leave with the threat of weaponry. SCP-XXXX-1 tells the agent to leave her elevator straight away. The agent refuses, and is expelled from the lift, arriving in Egypt and suffering minor bruising and first degree burns from an unknown source.
Comments: This wasn't the best result. The agent seemed overly aggravated at the situation, perhaps having been bested by an entity who has taken the guise of a little girl, or perhaps the long journey home.
Incident XXXX-1B
Foreword: Two agents with recording devices were sent into SCP-XXXX in a second attempt to >remove the residing entity. The agents were similarly armed as per the last attempt in the case of >resistance or a violent response from the entity. Concerns over a second attempt were raised due to >the results of the last try, but this time, agents are prepared and ready to actually inflict harm to >achieve the goal.
Event: The female agent attempted to reason with SCP-XXXX-1, asking why she couldn't leave. SCP-XXXX-1 made vague references to rules until the agent asked who wrote the rules. The entity eventually admits that there aren't really any hard written rules, but some things feel wrong. Agents begin to apply pressure. SCP-XXXX-1 warns that this is how the last agent got injured. Feeling threatened, the agents draw weapons. SCP-XXXX-1 declares that it was created long before both gents, and will not be destroyed until long after. Agents fire on the entity at this point. The male agent's corpse is shot out of the elevator where he entered. The insides of his body have been extremely compressed, turning everything under the skin into a bloody mulch. Carved into the flesh as if with a jagged kitchen knife were the words Don't try again" in capitalised and uneven writing. The body of the female agent has never been found, but researchers on site reported muted hysterical screaming for a long time after SCP-XXXX vanished, but could not find the source until the voice grew too hoarse to scream any longer.
Comments: This was a total and complete failure. SCP-XXXX did not show up again for 2 weeks, and showed no remorse whatsoever, feigning ignorance of the topic and taking on a dark, sinister tone when challenged about it. We have lost two valuable members of staff and no more can be expended on this.
Incident XXXX-1C
Foreword: D-1562 was considered to be cheap enough to lose. Subject was a 24 year old female convicted for luring children into her home and murdering them savagely. It was partly because of her history that she was chosen.
Event: D-1562 was fitted with multiple monitoring devices. None were recovered. D-1562 was informed that she would have the chance to murder once more, and was set onto SCP-XXXX-1. At first, she was told to be friendly and lower the guard of the girl, and then to remove her from the elevator when it stopped. Something went catastrophically wrong. SCP-XXXX-1 seems to have gained knowledge of the subject's history, and tortured D-1562 to death while in transit. Within 2 minutes, SCP-XXXX appeared again, and opened to the horror of researchers nearby. SCP-XXXX-1 had drenched herself in the blood of the subject, and had a psychotic grin on her face until the doors shut again. Researchers glimpsed the words "last chance" carved over and over in spirals along the woman's body. Her upper body was entirely mutilated and barely identifiable as human. The subject's abdomen had the words "I know what she did" burnt into it as if with acid. Researchers did not have enough time to fully examine the corpse for injuries until the next ride, at which point it was discovered that SCP-XXXX-1 had [DATA EXPUNGED].
Comments: We are very clearly on our last chance here. While we do not bow down to anomalous beings easily, this is quite clearly something we are best not challenging until further testing. SCP-XXXX-1 is much easier to interact with when she is happy, and she has returned to this mood since the incident. No one is to bring the incident up, and one researcher has been reprimanded for doing so. Our researchers who witnessed the corpse are still shaken. SCP-XXXX-1 does not ask to be above us, and is perfectly fine being our equal. Unfortunately, this is not enough for us.

Dr. ███████: Do you care if I ask you some more questions today? It will help us understand you a lot better than we do now.
SCP-XXXX-1: Uh… Sure! What do you need to know about me? Other than the fact that I live inside a weird elevator that can transverse time and space. [Interviewee laughs.]
Dr. ███████: Your elevator doesn't move through time. For the record.
SCP-XXXX-1: It kind of does! There's something up with time in here, I'm just not sure what it is.
Dr. ███████: Do you not age in here? Does time pass more slowly?
SCP-XXXX-1: Um… I don't know. You're the doctor. Where is your friend?
Dr. ███████: She was assigned elsewhere. Please, answer my questions as best as you can.
SCP-XXXX-1: I'd rather talk to her, she's nicer. As for the time, I'm not really sure. I don't remember getting older. I don't know if I have a birthday or not. People have birthdays! It takes seconds or minutes to move between far places. The clock goes backwards and forwards by hours depending on how far I go. That's time travel, isn't it?
Dr. ███████: Those are called time zones, XXXX-1.
SCP-XXXX-1: Don't call me that.
Dr. ███████: What would you like me to call you?
SCP-XXXX-1: I don't know. People have called me a lot of things. I prefer any of those to your numbers.
Dr. ███████: Tell me some of the names you've been called, please. We want to know how to refer to you.
SCP-XXXX-1: Well… I've been called witch, devil, demon, angel, god, goddess, saviour, Janus, kid, faerie, spirit(…) [Interviewee continues to list off names, some of which are outdated.]
Dr. ███████: What would you prefer to be called? [Finishes writing.]
SCP-XXXX-1: I don't know. Oh! Once, I was helping a quirky little american man. He was very strange. He looked as if he had every right to be here, standing where you are now. Well, he looked up at me and he said… [Temporarily changing voices]: "Elevator Operator, quickly take us up somewhere else, before they open this door."
SCP-XXXX-1: That was very funny. I'd just pulled him out of a dark alleyway. He told me that some corporate assassins were after him or something. He didn't even ask me once how I'd gotten there in this thing. [Interviewee pets the side of the lift and grins.]
Dr. ███████: Amusing indeed. I'll make sure that the message is passed on to others.
The elevator stops, and the door opens.
SCP-XXXX-1: Sorry, time's up. Listen, next time if you have to send a dude, can you send someone who's a bit younger, and uh… Well, fitter. Bye now!
Dr. ███████ is pushed out of the elevator by an unknown force before he can protest. The elevator doors slam shut instantly, leaving the interviewer in a different city to the one he'd arrived in. Dr. ███████ believes that he'd either somehow annoyed SCP-XXXX-1 or that the interviewee had been in a hurry to get elsewhere.
<End Log>
Closing Statement: Henceforth, SCP-XXXX-1 is to be referred to as the Elevator Operator unless she requests another name. We've seen what she can do to people who upset her while she's in her domain.
