Special Containment Procedures: SCP 5000 should be contained in a rectangular box measuring 1X3X1 and should not be touched by any personnel. The container should be kept in a secure location and not moved without extreme care

Description: SCP 5000 is an approximately 3 foot long Shilelaugh, black in color, with a brass cap at one end, and a root knob at the other. SCP 5000 is not to be touched by any personell without sufficient protection. Upon contact with bare skin, the victim will begin to change, growing spikes from their vertebra, and gaining approx. 3 feet in height. The victim will then display severe psychological changes, entering a catatonic state before every bone in the body begins to grow through the skin, encasing the victim in organic armour. The victim will then attempt to take SCP 5000 and escape custody, requiring 100% of the body to be destroyed to kill it. As of current, there is no known counter to SCP 5000

Addendum: there have been attempts to utilize SCP 500 to cure victims, but it is the only known way to cure the transformation. Acid, explosives, and cryogenic freezing have all been proven to destroy organic armour of victims.
