Item #: SCP-4761

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: All manifestations of SCP-4761 are to be kept in separate boxes made from 1 inch (25.4 mm) potassium permanganate lined glass. It is to be filled with salt water and kept at a constant temperature of 21°C (69.8°F). Said containment is to have no holes and an airlock to pass its required food through. It is also to be on constant surveillance through CCTV and at least 1 personnel watching said CCTV at each moment in time.

Description: SCP-4761
is an anomalous species of cephalopod resembling the Orange Cuttlefish. The main differences are size growing to sizes up to [DATA EXPUNGED] and also their ability to take control of the human nervous system (effected entities will now be referred to as SCP-4761-1). This is performed through entering subjects mouth while they are sleeping. They then camouflage to look indistinguishable to their face and release small eggs throughout their body it then takes roughly 135 minutes to fully become an instance of as SCP-4761-1. SCP-4761’s camouflage is part of it anomalous properties (this allows it to be completely undetected unless seen through potassium permanganate lined glass) along with their heightened intelligence which allows it to integrate into human society using memories of SCP-4761-1’s previous life. SCP-4761-A B and C were found on 3 fishermen who were showing enhanced strength after returning to shore by lifting crates usually requiring machinery to lift and they were quickly contained by the foundation. SCP-4761 can be removed from SCP-4761-1 only before 4 hours of transformation. If there are any SCP-4761 found in the wild they are to be secured or terminated.

Experiment Logs:

Experiment 4761-1
An instance of SCP-4761-1 formerly known as █████ ████ was killed through lethal injection causing SCP-4761-A to leave SCP-4761-1’s body. Without its host the instance of SCP-4761 went through the normal stages of suffocation but was contained in a basic marine animal container. Dissecting the body showed that there was no remaining brain matter in the now hole filled skull. The pointy metal stick (now being catalogued as an SCP for the inability to describe it doing something while still being called a scalpel) had blood on it but with white spots in the blood. Later examination revealed that these were SCP-4761-A’s offspring and what enhanced the body of SCP-4761-1.

Experiment 4761-2

The same instance of SCP-4761 was placed in a cell with a D-class and waited for them to fall asleep. It performed its normal assimilation process and after 5 hours Doctor ████████ attempted to remove SCP-4761 surgically while subject was sleeping but SCP-4761 was un effected by the anaesthetics and was able to remove itself and hid on the floor from Doctor █████.
