Item #: SCP-6379
Object Class:
Special Containment Procedures:
Description: SCP-6379 is a 4-piece set of blank, 12-inch vinyl records. The center of these records has the word "BOREAL" printed on them, this is assumed to be an album name. When one of the set is played on a gramophone, it's anomalous property is activated and causes auditory hallucinations. These hallucinations consist of various pieces of classical music, along with voices of people who the listener have lost (through death, or any other reason). These voices tend to say something the person commonly said, though have also been reported to say nonsensical things as well. So far all of the discs have had the same effect, regardless of who was listening.
Due to the fact that the sound is a hallucination, it is unable to be recorded by any auditory listening device.
SCP-6379 was discovered in Dr. ██████'s deceased relative's house. Dr. ██████ was cleaning out the house when he found the disc set along with a gramophone. After attempting to listen to the records, he realized the anomalous property and alerted the Foundation to it's presence.
