Special Containment Procedures: The subway station in which SCP-XXXX is located has been declared condemned and has been sealed by electromagnetic doors.. Security personnel monitor the interior of SCP-XXXX to dissuade entry and monitor for any anomalous behavior. A disinformation campaign has been deemed unnecessary as the subway does not occur on any map accessible to non-Foundation personnel. In the event that non-Foundation personnel gain access to SCP-XXXX, they are to be administered Class-A amnestics. Test subjects are to be detained and monitored for adverse effects or anomalous activity prior to questioning.

Description: SCP-XXXX consists of a single passenger car connected to a Siemens ES64U4 electric locomotive¹. Through all testing available to the foundation, SCP-XXXX has displayed an immunity to a significant amount of physical damage, and attempts at relocating it have failed. Once subjects are within range of SCP-XXXX-1, the entry to SCP-XXXX will open. SCP-XXXX-1 is a humanoid entity ,wearing attire consistent with that of train conductors in the area, that becomes visible once subjects are made aware of SCP-XXXX's existence. SCP-XXXX-1 will behave in a manner consistent with that of a standard train conductor. Surveillance footage of SCP-XXXX shows that its doors will close upon a subject leaving the area.

Observation of subjects entering SCP-XXXX display no anomalous activity, with the subject sitting down for 2 to 3 seconds. Then, a translucent replica of the train will depart from the station taking the subject with it. The physical train will remain statoinary, but with the subject no longer present. Interviewed subjects exposed to SCP-XXXX report traumatic and terrifying experiences, all involving a similar setting and notable landmarks. These experiences have invariably led to the development of symptoms consistent with mental disorders such as paranoia, severe anxiety, and PTSD.²

Interviewed: D-6773

Interviewer: Dr. Bismuth

Foreword: Subject D-6773 was interviewed following psychiatric examination. Dr. Bismuth was tasked with gathering information regarding the events transpiring after D-6773's contact with SCP-XXXX.

<Begin Log>

Dr. Bismuth: I see you've made a decent recovery.

D-6773: Decent? I've spent three weeks with needles stuck in my arms by people I wasn't cleared to know. Decent ain't a fucking part of it.

Dr. Bismuth: I'll ask that you cooperate with us and mind your word choice.

[Dr. Bismuth pauses.]

Dr. Bismuth: Now I'm giving you one chance. Are you willing to talk to us?

D-6773: Not much choice is there? What do you want to know?

Dr. Bismuth: We want to know what you saw. Start with the moment you sat down.

D-6773: Please…. Is this necessary? Can't you have anyone else do this?

Dr. Bismuth: I understand your hesitation. I do want to remind you that the sooner we get through with this, the sooner you can get the help you need. Now, I'd like to ask you again, what happened?

D-6773: Right… I sat down on the train and the doors closed. The guy who greeted me left the compartment, and a voice on the intercom told me we were leaving. The train began moving.

[D-6773 pauses.]

Dr. Bismuth: Then what?

[Subject opens their mouth with no words coming out.]

Dr. Bismuth: I need you to open up to me. It's in your best interest. Then what?

[Subject takes a deep breath.]

D-6773: Then the tunnel opened and I was outside. Everything was dead. The trees, grass, houses. Everything destroyed and desolate. And bodies. There were bodies everywhere, decomposing in the streets. Then I passed the tree-

Dr. Bismuth: The tree with the hanging bodies?

D-6773: Yes. It was like moving in slow motion. I could see their corpses swaying with the wind. And he was there-

[D-6773 gasps, looking behind the Doctor.]

Dr. Bismuth: Who is he?

[D-6773 begins exhibiting symptoms of a panic attack.]

D-6773: No! Get the hell away from me! You said you would leave me alone if I got off that fucking train!

[Security personnel enter and sedate D-6773. The interview is cancelled.]

Closing Statement: D-6773 was readmitted to the psychiatric ward where it was decided he was unfit for further testing. He was administered Class-D amnestics. Symptoms of mental disorder persist through amnestics.

Results	After the incorporeal train returning with D-6773, subject fled from the train, falling to the floor in a state of dismay. Subject emitted incomprehensible whispers until sedated by on-scene staff.

Subject	D-2384
Results	D-2384 returned in an unresponsive state. Upon attempting to move the subject, D-2384 began screaming about how she must remain on the train.

Subject	D-8945
Results	D-8945 appeared back on the train curled in a ball with a dark red liquid surrounding him. Upon examination, it was revealed that subject had [DATA EXPUNGED].

Test XXXX 4
Subject	D-3214
Protocol	Subject is fitted with a camera and microphone for contact with Foundation personnel.
Results	Video of the location described by other test subject is viewed3. Subject returns and becomes hostile when personnel attempt to remove them from the train. Security personnel are authorized to use lethal force, and subject is terminated. Further testing is suspended pending review.

D-3214: Alright I'm in the train. What now?

Control: Sit down.

The translucent train begins to depart along with D-3214.

D-3214: So I just sit here and see where this train takes me?

Control: You go where we tell you and tell us about the area.

D-3214: Well that doesn't sound concerning at all.

Camera feed shows light slowly pouring in before a bright flash as the train exits the tunnel. Plant life appears to have been absent for a significant amount of time, and signs of any life are scarce.

Control: Explain what you see.

D-3214: There's nothing but yellow grass. I think I can see a city in the distance.

No further words are exchanged as the locomotive nears the city.

D-3214: What the fuck?!

Camera pans to an automobile that has evidently been stationary for an extended period, showing signs of past plant life. The train slows as it passes, allowing for a clear view of what appear to be two deceased humanoids in advanced stages of decay inside the vehicle. Numerous other corpses in a similar state are seen in the streets. D-3214 is silent.

Control: D-3214 do you copy?

D-3214: Yeah… I'm here. What is this place?

Control: That's what we want you to find out.

Subject focuses the camera on a lone stroller with a corpse on the ground behind it. After coming to a halt in front of a tree with two corpses suspended from the branches, the train's doors open.

Control: D-3214, exit the train.

D-3214: I don't know, guys, I don't think this is my stop.

Control: Refusing to exit the train is considered a breach of your contract and will result in a reprimand when you return. Get off the train. Now.

D-3214: Damn it was just a joke.

D-3214 proceeds to stand up and step towards the exit. A humanoid figure materializes in from of the subject as they approach the door. The figure appears distorted despite the surrounding area appearing normally. Subject ceases to move and radio contact is lost between both parties. As radio contact is being reestablished, the figure gestures at the subject in a beckoning motion. The subject approaches the figure and collapses. Vital signs are lost. Humanoid figure dematerializes and radio contact is reestablished.

D-3214 retches.

Control: Subject, do you hear me?

Subject's vital signs return, significantly weaker than before.

D-3214 screams and quickly boards the train.

Control: D-3214, please respond. We cannot understand you.

D-3214 ceases screaming and begins whispering the word "them" repeatedly. The train departs from the area and returns to its physical counterpart. Upon attempting to retrieve the D-Class, subject becomes hostile and is neutralized after [DATA EXPUNGED] a security guard.
