Special Containment Procedures:
Object is contained at Site [Redacted] underground levels. Level 1 and above staff are allowed to know of SCP-####, but access to the object's containment room is only clearance Level 4 and above. Containment room should be with a 10x10x10 meter room only. Room should be adjacent to another of the same volume, this one should only be accessed by the 05 council.
SCP-#### is to be contained within a ballistic glass cylinder, measuring 3 meters tall and 3 meters in diameter. The bottom dimension of the cylinders must be affixed to a steel platform connected to a 'hume stabilizer.' The top dimensions should be attached to a filtered recording lens focused on SCP-####. This cylinder containment should be placed in the first room, and its recording sent to the second. Recordings are only to be accessed by the O5 council. Any persons without clearance viewing, will either be given a Class A amnestic or terminated depending on the record seen.
As part of PROJECT KINGU, A Level 4 Staff, must oversee the Hume stabilizer at all times. Every 210 days the Hume stabilizer is to be reset, and a new recording is made. Should the object act violently, the Hume stabilizer is to be immediately reset and a member of level 5 clearance is to be informed as soon as possible. Level 4 staff must also edit gaps of recordings out which display no images. Looking at sensory input gauges allow staff to know location of gaps it hour directly seeing the recordings.
In the incident of a site containment breach, the dome bulwark underneath the containment platform will automatically activate. The bulwark will enclose the object container, the recording will stop, and the Hume stabilizer will reset. In the case of a long term breach alert, the Hume stabilizer will reset every 3 days after the initial fail-safe in order to maintain emergency power if cut off.
Description: SCP-#### is a phenomena appearing as an anomalous prismatic shimmer in the space it occupies. It's mass and density shift gradually yet randomly. It's largest mass occupies a space 2 meters in diameter. It's maximum density can form a solid prismatic crystal, hypothesized to be as hard as a diamond. Both its lowest mass and density is smaller than sub atomic, making it practically a set of imaginary numbers.
Whatever it's overall mass and density, SCP-#### protrudes nearly transparent, prismatic, threads. These threads are suspected to be wound around the center of SCP-####. This is hard to determine as with the drastic range SCP-#### shifts, the center is not in a constant state. These threads do not appear to be a part of SCP-####, but rather are attracted to it. Therefore the threads are designated as SCP-####-B.
SCP-####-B attaches from almost every angle of SCP-####. All Instances of SCP-####-B eventually cut off from SCP-#### and dissipate, then eventually form new instances. New instances of SCP-####-B attach within a period of 7 days to 7 months, instances may detach within the same time period. SCP-####-B has had as many as 126 instances at once, and as few as 43. Objects are persons passing through SCP-####-B instances are not affected in anyway nor affect SCP-#### and SCP-####-B instances.
Direct contact with SCP-####, however, causes the subject to experience extreme migraines and mental flashing images. This is not fatal, however, and the effect wears off approximately 210 seconds after contact with SCP-####. Prolonged exposure by directly touching SCP-#### will forcefully push the subject away, and the exposed will enter a comatose state. Recovery is only possible after a period of 210 days.
When observed from approximately 2 feet away, images and sounds will be heard from SCP-####. There is no pattern to images and sound occurrences, however one voice reoccurs the most frequently. This voice is suspected to be SCP-#### itself speaking.
Because of this reoccurring voice, SCP-#### was suspected to be a phantasmal anomaly, or "spirit." However, due to it's fluctuating mass, appearance, and presence of SCP-####-B, Dr. XXXX hypothesized it is a unique reality anchor. Dr. XXXX observes that unlike other reality anchors that nullifies shifts in reality within a certain proximity, SCP-#### utilizes SCP-####-B to anchor itself to our reality. However, it is very unstable. Its Hume levels is only just enough to remain in our reality, but shifting from the minimum to the maximum amount to remain anchored.
Based on Dr. XXXX hypothesis, a Hume Stabilizing Machine was constructed. Using the Hume stabilizer while within a container,the mass and appearance of SCP-#### gradually coalesced into a more consistent instance. In a more stabilized form, SCP-#### appears as transparent white humanoid shape. It does not seem to either be aware of its surrounding or even itself. Its only movements are only a slight displacement of form similar to static.
Viewing SCP-#### closely, shows the pre-mentioned images and voices but in a seemingly deliberate order instead of randomized. Although will still go silent for seemingly random instances of time as well. After 210 days in stabilization, SCP-#### will stop displaying images and voices. It will then violently attempt to destabilize itself to its original instance. If the Hume stabilizer is reset, SCP will slowly reform to stabilization and then repeat displaying images and voices. When reset, over the course of the 210 days, it's ordered display of images and voices always vary either subtlety or completely, but never is one exactly the same. Using the recording lens, allows viewing moving frames and voices to be recorded into a concise video, and edited if need be.
