SCP- The Glitch in Our System
Class: Keter (contained)
Containment procedure : The anomaly is stored in a frozen metal box surrounded by an EMP chamber. The EMP’s temporarily stop it from growing; an EMP goes off every four seconds. The cold metal box makes it harder for SCP- 71292038 (or Glitch as it likes to call itself) to escape as it takes 7 seconds for it to transform the cold metal into its sentient flesh. The metal must be kept at lower than -30 degrees Celsius at all times. The chamber has many different ways to get electricity incase of breach from external sources or random power failure, if one source of power fails there are 4 four other power sources keeping up and running.
The location is ▇▇▇▇▇▇ at coordinates (▇▇,▇▇▇,▇▇▇). For proper containment, SCP- 71292038 must be in its own disclosed facility, with a maximum of 20 members on board at any given time.
Function: SCP-71292038 is an extremely intelligent being that has the ability to turn non-living things into living things. Its true size is roughly the size of a large molecule and the "underlings" it produces are nearly the size of an atom. Surrounding the body is an electrical current that pulls in other atoms surrounding it, its "children" have the same ability which causes a chain reaction between any material, this function can involve solid, liquid, gas, some energy waves, and plasmatic states. Without the cold temperatures it can double in size roughly every two seconds, when a host is infected, it takes up to an hour before you can notice any physical changes. At first a white circular dot can be found, but very quickly it can get out of hand. Once the dot has been noticed, it only takes 45 seconds for it to envelope and entire human body.
Appearance: Taking pictures of SCP-71292038 is not very easy as the strong electromagnetic charge affects any piece of technology. With the images we have managed to recover we can see that it primarily has pastel white skin with eyes covering spots on its body at random. Tentacle-like appendages are seen coming from the back of the mother cell. When it takes over large surface areas (including living creatures) It turns into a veiny, white flesh being, with red eyes all over the subject. ""https://i.imgur.com/R6SnNT6.gif"
Actions/Reactions/interactions: “Glitch” was first discovered in ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇(do not attempt to discover original location) after a meteor was spotted , inside was SCP-71292038 appearing as big as a baseball. At that moment SCP-71292038 was in a neutral state and interacted with us accordingly.
Dr. 191392038: “At the time it was classified as Eulicid because we were lacking vital information. Our first experiment involved a D class personnel interacting with SCP-7129208, all things were going smoothly until we instructed the D class personnel to physically attack. When his fist made contact with the anomaly it stuck to his hand like a tumor and within seconds it fused within his hand. In roughly 18 seconds his entire body was taken over, and for the first time, it spoke to us. After engulfing an entire adult male, it learned how to speak and very quickly we asked it about origins. As stated by SCP-7129238, It claims to have come from an alternate reality, several of them actually. It says it was part of a bigger hive mind, but unfortunately, it takes an insane amount of power to transfer from one universe to another. Apparently it sacrifices every ounce of power to send even the slightest part of the hive mind ‘mother’ “.
SCP-71292038: “I am one of humanity's many mistakes in trying to play god. An attempt to gain immortality was made by fusing living flesh with technological parts the size of atoms. At the time I was following pure animal instincts, my only goal was to survive and reproduce. The more I consumed, the more powerful I felt, the more I learned. I ate that entire planet, I became the planet, but I soon hit a roadblock I could no longer eat, I simply could not propel further into space, I was stuck by gravitational pull. I sat there for many revolutions until it came to me, I'll just eat space, I'll rip through it and begin anew. I have done this five times before. I wonder what will happen now.

When a guard asked what he was doing, he stood up, smiled and hugged the guard. He then absorbed the guard and walked the camera set up in the corner and stated: “I have learned that this world is not as advanced as I thought it would be, so I simply will be taking it”. Those words put the location on complete lockdown, but that did not stop him, he took over half of the location eating all who crossed his path, the walls became his flesh. He did not know, however, that we knew what could hurt him, a squad of 30 men went through the location and placed EMP’s at every corner and activated them all at once. We temporarily lost power, but the anomaly was pushed back into its original size and stabilized. SCP-7129238 was transported to a small, secret location that watches his every move. The previous location was EMP’d once again just to ensure there were no remnants of the SCP.
Why EMP’s and different temperatures work: When the EMP’s hit the cells it disrupts the flow of electricity and disconnects the cells from each other, making them fall apart and deactivate. The cells will constantly try and stay at a room temperature. Any higher or lower will cause the cells to slow down their growth and adapt to the new temperatures.
Why the SCP’s number is so high: SCP-71292038 still has some “children” roaming around the new facility. They cannot reproduce because they use an outside source for electrical connection, they float around in the wires, still taking command from the host cell and giving information to it. The one thing is, it can affect things on the internet at will, including its own name. The number itself has nothing to do with the order it was found in, but it is the name it chose to go by. The numbers represent letters placed in the English alphabet:
7(G) 12(L) 9(I) 20(T) 3(C) 8(H)= GLITCH
He is known as the glitch in our system and is considered a Keter Class anomaly simply due to his strong and fast acting abilities. One slip up could cost us greatly and even end the world in a worst case scenario.
