Level 3/XXXX |
| Object Class: Euclid |
Classified |
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be surrounded by 40 ft walls on the outskirts of the island, that are made of cement and rebar. There are to be no less than 30 armed SD units guarding the location at all times.
Any possible breaches of the instances found on the island are to be reported to MTF Unit Delta in the security room. Failure to do so may result in the termination of your position at the Foundation.
Description: SCP-XXXX was a frozen island off the southern tip of Chile, close to Antarctica. Most of the island has thawed out, but a few regions of the island, specifically the southern ones, are still frozen. The more northern part of the island has a warmer temperature, occasionally capable of reaching 16°C (61°F), while the southern parts stay at about -40°C (-40°F).
SCP-XXXX has been observed to possess the ability to revive deceased dinosaurs. The effects take about 1 month for the process to be completed. SCP-XXXX appears to be able to mutate the revived dinosaurs. It is unknown how this process occurs. The dinosaurs cannot be moved from the island due to SCP-XXXX-3, who makes sure that the dinosaurs can live forever. SCP-XXXX-2 appears to have mutated in a strange fashion, which allowed it to be more powerful than all of the other dinosaurs on the island.
The SCPs located in SCP-XXXX are prehistoric beasts from Antarctica. The island is what their habitat was from the Jurassic period. However, there are not just Jurassic dinosaurs Triassic through to the Cenozoic animals. These dinosaurs have henceforth been named SCP-XXXX-1, as they all seem to be the only ones to be able to rapidly evolve from the island.
It is theorized that as an effect of global warming, the ice has thawed out the dinosaurs and the location as a whole. Information regarding SCP-XXXX-1 is estimated to shed light on not just the dinosaurs but also about Antarctica’s climate and physical geography from the Cretaceous period to the Jurassic period.
SCP-XXXX-3 breaching in the ice-bound region of SCP-XXXX
On April 22, 2003, another SCP was discovered. This SCP has henceforth been named SCP-XXXX-2, which is a reptilian entity that is able to constantly smash through the gates, locating its targets using a strong sense of smell and proceeds to inject its teeth into the target's cervical vertebrae, where the venom blocks all signals from the nervous system, immobilizing the target until death usually by trauma to the neck.
The final SCP with known connections to SCP-XXXX is SCP-XXXX-3 is known as the “The Guardian”. On June 23, 2005, Upon the arrival of MTF Division Epsilon-11, during a containment breach of SCP-XXXX-2 and multiple SCP-XXXX-1 specimens, they found the concrete wall completely demolished, leaving few pieces of debris remaining. The culprit of the incident was SCP-XXXX-3. See Document XXXX-3 for more information.
Foreword: SCP-XXXX-2 was discovered and designated on April 22, 2003. Here is the following transcript:

Researcher Jeffrey: What is that thing?! Class-D. Please retreat. We don’t know if that thing is safe to test on.
D-4512: What’s the problem? It’s not doing much. It looks dead, almost.
Researcher Jeffrey: Class-D, this is your first warning.
D-4512: I want to go see what it does…
Researcher Jeffrey: Warning two…
A few seconds later, there are sounds of screaming and flesh tearing.
Agent █████: What the hell is that thing!?
Researcher Jeffrey: Wait! It’s trying to breach containment!
Agent █████: Holy shi-!
Agent is cut off by roaring the distance and the sound of metal being torn apart.
MTF Unit Alpha: Mayday, mayday! A Cryolophosaurus has escaped! I repeat a Cryolopho-!
MTF Unit India: Man down, man down! What the hell!
MTF Unit Bravo: ALL UNITS, OPEN FIRE!
Sounds of gunfire, roaring, screaming, and breach alarms, shortly before it suddenly cuts off.

Dr. Grayson: So, SCP-XXXX-3, I wo-
SCP-XXXX-3: I would prefer to be called “The Guardian”.
Dr. Grayson: Right. So, “The Guardian”, what are you.
SCP-XXXX-3: I am the protector of the dinosaurs.
Dr. Grayson: Why are you the protector of the dinosaurs?
SCP-XXXX-3: I love the dinosaurs. They are so interesting and the effects that this island has on them even more so. I don't know what I would do with myself if they disappeared off of the island, since this island is the only thing protecting them from total annihilation.
Dr. Grayson: Interesting. What do you know about SCP-XXXX-2?
SCP-XXXX-3: I can make it pass out.
Dr. Grayson: Really. How can we do that?
SCP-XXXX-3: I can’t tell you.
Dr. Grayson: Why not?
SCP-XXXX-3: If I do tell me that you will not tell anyone else this.
Dr. Grayson: Okay. I won't.
SCP-XXXX-3: The way that you are going to successfully tranquilize the Cryolophosaurus is [REDACTED].
Dr. Grayson: Okay. Thank you, Guardian, but let me get this straight. Are you trying to help us?
SCP-XXXX-3: Yes.
Dr. Grayson: All right. That’ll be all, Guardian. You may return to containment.

Note: "SCP-XXXX-3 misled us about how to paralyze SCP-XXXX-2, and has henceforth been removed to prevent further confusion and by further extension, death." -Dr. Grayson
Foreword: On November 4th, 2007, SCP-XXXX-3 was spotted breaching SCP-XXXX-2. This is the following transcript of that day.

MTF Unit Delta: Wait… what the hell!? SCP-XXXX-3 is breaching SCP-XXXX-2!
MTF Unit Golf: Wait what!? Yeah, I see it on the camera feeds.
MTF Unit Delta: This is control to Phi-2, SCP-XXXX-2 is breaching. All units need to be on guard for SCP-XXXX-2 and SCP-XXXX-3. I repeat all units be on guard for SCP-XXXX-2 and SCP-XXXX-3.
MTF Unit Golf: Wait, it's coming this way! Oh, fu—.
A few seconds of silence.
MTF Unit Delta: Golf, you there?
A few more seconds of silence.
MTF Unit Delta: MTF Unit Golf, do you copy?
A few more seconds.
MTF Unit Delta: Damn it! This can't be good.

The following are documents of SCPs that are related to SCP-XXXX
Item #: SCP-XXXX-2
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-2 is to be kept inside of a 5m x 5m x 5m cage, to allow enough room for SCP-XXXX-2 to roam around in, and made out of blast-resistant steel.
Description: SCP-XXXX-2 is a huge reptile-like creature with feathers protruding from the holes in between the scales. The creature resembles a Cryolophosaurus from the Jurassic period.
The Cryolophosaurus, unlike most from its time, has special glands at the top of its cheeks, that can release a venom-like toxin into the bloodstream of anything it bites. It tends to go for the cervical vertebrae, where it's pointed canines can pass through it, crushing the neck.
If the subject can survive the bite, the venom in the neck acts like a clot, able to effectively block all signals from the nervous system. It takes about 5 minutes for the effects of the venom to set in, which then paralyzes the target until the trauma kills the subject.

Item #: SCP-XXXX-3
Object Class: Thaumiel Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-3 is to be kept in a cave off the edge of SCP-XXXX. The cave is to be covered in ice off the outer layer of Antarctica monthly. The door of the cave is only to be opened for cleaning. The entrance to the cage is to be made of reinforced steel and platinum.
The cave is not to ever exceed -5°C (23°F), and reports of the cage surpassing the designated temperature are mandatory to the Engineering and Technical Service Department manager. Failure may result in a temporary suspension of your Foundation job.
Description: He aids the Foundation with the containment of SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-3 is not to be trusted, and any attempts at communication have been blocked by the Site Director. SCP-XXXX-3 has been proven to have ulterior motives from the ones he claims to have, as of Incident 11/04/07.
SCP-XXXX-3 resembles an anthropomorphic entity and shares many traits with the Homosapien family and many other types of primates. SCP-XXXX-3 appears to be covered in a thick white fur, supposedly protecting it from the harsh winters that occur at the south tip of SCP-XXXX. The SCP is capable of common English and has a British-American accent, the origin of which is unknown. The subject appears roughly 7'5" height and 435 lbs in weight.
Addendum-XXXX-3.1: SCP-XXXX-3 was originally discovered on June 25, 2005. The creature was at first assumed to be peaceful to humans or at least neutral between humans and SCP-XXXX-1, however, after Interview 7/01/05, it was revealed that SCP-XXXX-3 had

Addendum-XXXX.3: It was the tragic day of October 23, 2004. A disease was spotted on the island in the south-western region. Thought to be what was a harmless prion, turned out, when tested on humans, was a lot more unstable and deadly than what was originally let on. The virus itself is nearly undetectable, as it affected the mental capability of its host more than the physical, and it hides deep within the brain.
Through prolonged exposure to the prion, the host becomes practically brain-dead, becoming unable to complete simple tasks, such as walking or eating. Much less the more complex tasks, such as running tests or guarding the facility from possible SCP breaches. Many infected even died of starvation
After 2 months of sporadic outbreaks, a civil war broke out on the island. Some were saying that they should leave the island, still on lockdown, and never return, while others were saying to push through it, and try to find a cure for the disease. In the confusion, SCP-XXXX-2 breached containment and caused even more damage.
The events went on until February 25, 2005, when a cure was finally found to the disease. After approximately two weeks, most of the island was wiped of the pathogen, with only a few strands of it being left in a containment cell, for further research.
