Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe Euclid (See Incident 02-A)
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in room 022 of Storage Lot 5. The room is a micro-ecosystem and needs no upkeep.
SCP-XXXX is located in the SCP research facility in [Redacted], NY. It is to be contained in room -247 of Storage Lot 5. The room must be airtight at all times unless requested by someone of at least a clearance level 4/XXXX.
In the case of a transfer, SCP-XXXX is to be placed in a hermetically sealed container that fits its current host comfortably. Its new enclosure is to be a micro-ecosystem of at least 850 square feet in size and have the capability of being airlocked. There should be at least one area containing two-way glass, so that the object may communicate with its researchers without them having to enter the room. MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO SHARP OBJECTS IN THE CHAMBER.
SCP-XXXX may request certain objects by signing or writing on paper. Researchers with clearance must consult Dr.[Redacted] before complying.
When entering the enclosure in ideal conditions, no special criteria must be met; SCP-000 seems content inside its current enclosure, but caution must still be used when entering and exiting.
IN THE EVENT OF THE HOST’S BODY BEING DESTROYED
One personnel with a clearance level no higher than 2/000 must enter the room wearing a Mark II Platinum Woven Airtight Suit* and an oxygen tank, along with a small primate**. Said personnel must enter the chamber and place the offering down and wait until SCP-XXXX takes possession of the creature. Then they may leave the chamber carefully, assuring that the object and its new host may not escape.
*If the personnel does not enter with this suit (see Incident 07-B), the object will instead take their body as a host, killing them in the process.
**SCP-000 has stated that it prefers lemurs as a host.
Upkeep: SCP-XXXX does not require any kind of sustenance and minimal upkeep.
When SCP-XXXX’s internal crystals are exposed to air (usually through cuts) they begin convulsing and puncturing the skin of the host, shedding it to pieces. As soon as the crystals are free from the body, it’s structure begins to dissolve into a gas (see procedures above)
Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a female lemur catta capable of higher intelligence. It has white eyes that become luminescent in low levels of light. X-ray scans show that it has no internal organs, and seems to be structured by a malleable crystalline substance.
SCP-XXXX is a sentient gaseous cloud, that when inhaled by a living creature, crystalizes every internal organ and bone structure in their body into a malleable, quartz-like substance.
SCP-XXXX is typically tolerant of human agents and researchers and is especially fond of Dr. [Redacted]. It enjoys playing board and card games with the researchers, and when given art supplies, will use them to make impressionist pieces. It can communicate through signing in English, Malagasy, and French, and when using a human being as a host, is capable of fluent speech in those three languages.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered by Dr. [Redacted] and Agent [Redacted] while investigating Public Report Case NYC-2704. The object in question had recently come into the custody of Central Park Zoo and was being aggressive with its captors. It was promptly taken by both personnel to the nearest SCP research facility in [Redacted], NY, and all civilians involved were promptly taken through memory removal therapy. Dr. [Redacted] is now head researcher and supervisor of SCP-XXXX.
