Taxi to Anywhere
Item #: 5129
Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5129 is to be contained in a 40-meter by 4-meter standard containment chamber. The room is to contain a 1 lane road, and a taxi sign in the approximate middle of the room beside the road. Personnel below class B must make a request to the current research team, with a written explanation for the purpose of their travel.
Description:
SCP-5129 is divided into 3 separate anomalies: 1 humanoid (5129-A), 1 object (5129-B), and 1 dimension (5129-C). SCP-5129-A is a 5'9 Caucasian male Brooklyn taxi driver. He weighs 180 lbs and occasionally smokes. It is unknown if he ages, but the entity has stated living a life beyond the taxi. SCP-5129-A can survive any extreme conditions from the taxi, and even leave the taxi for an extremely long, but undetermined time. SCP-5129-A refers to himself as David, and is not violent unless provoked.
SCP-5129-A drives a yellow, 1985 Chevrolet Caprice taxi, identified as SCP-5129-B.
SCP-5129-B can drive anywhere by anomalous means. SCP-5129-B is known to be able to travel to: different continents, underwater, underground, other planets, and even dimensions.
SCP-5129 has rules for passengers (copy of list written inside taxi door).
Important Taxi Rules:
1) No Smoking (or variants) inside the taxi.
2) No insulting the driver; or WALK.
3) Dress appropriately in advance for where you are going.
4) If a ritual is required where you're going, bring all necessary items, and write down invocations on paper. Put all items in the trunk. Yes, there is room, and no, they won't break or spill.
5) Pay the correct price to the driver. Any currency is accepted in cash ONLY. Consequences for failure of payment is dire.
6) Requests for a trip to the afterlife (whatever your afterlife is) are DENIED.
7) Taxi driver only stops for 1 break per ride. Passengers are NOT permitted to leave while taxi is in motion!
SCP-5129 travels through a dimension classified as SCP-5129-C. SCP-5129-C is described as a cloudy, foggy plane, with harvested farm fields and oak trees without any leaves. SCP-5129 will travel on a 1-lane road that goes continuously throughout SCP-5129-C. Any plant life seen has not bloomed, and considered dead. No entities are ever seen when travelling through. Plant life and farm fields do not change. SCP-5129-A will not allow people to stop and/or explore this dimension.
Origin
SCP-5129 was first discovered in 1995, after field agents reported a Taxi last seen in New York appear in Tokyo 10 minutes and 12 seconds after it disappeared. SCP-5129 was not seen again until 1997, when it was spotted parked in the Republic of the Congo. The Foundation peacefully brought SCP-5129 into custody for questioning in 1998.
5129 Test 001- 6/15/99
Researcher Dr. Martin is the head of this test. D-92910 stayed in the passenger seat with a microphone hidden in his clothes. D-92910 is instructed to smoke, and insult the driver. SCP-5129-A was not informed of this test.
5129-A: Hey, no smoking in the cab! Read the sign pal.
D-92910: Shut up and drive bitch. I do what I want.
5129-A: We haven't even gone anywhere pal, you really wanna get kicked out?
D-92910: Didn't you hear me? I said shut up and drive. (D-92910 proceeds to smoke in SCP-5129's face)
5129-A: Alright bastard, you asked for this.
D-92910 then was launched out of the taxi door, with a heavy bruise on his left cheek.
5129 Test 002- 6/19/99
D-93457 was instructed to take a drive to ██████, Idaho without payment. SCP-5129-A was not informed of this test.
5129-A: Okay, ██████ Idaho. That'll be about $30.65.
D-93457: Uh, I don't have money.
5129-A: Did I hear what I think you just said? Why would you take a taxi ride without money you cheap bastard? (5129-A sighs deeply) Shit. Okay, here's how this is gonna go. You either get brought back to where you were without your arm, or you loose your life.
D-93457: What the hell? I'm gonna die or lose my arm? That's insane!
5129-A: Hey I don't make the rules, or enforce them! If it was up to me I would've just punched you in the face for wasting my time! I'm sorry. So which is it?
D-93457: (D-93457 starts crying) Just take my arm! I got nothing else to lose.
5129-A: I really am sorry. Close your eyes, and take a deep breath.
D-93457 then appears back at ██████. His arm is missing, but no recent injury is visible, except for the nub where the arm used to be. D-93457 fully recovered with no memory of where he was or what happened to his arm.
5129 Test 003- 6/25/99
Researcher Martin and 2 MTF's would be taking a drive to 5129-C, and having SCP-5129-A stop the taxi.
5129-A: Listen, I don't like stopping when I'm in this place. Gives me the creeps.
Dr. Martin: I understand your concerns David. However, you said that you've never seen any creatures, right?
That's exactly why I hate this place. Well good luck. You get one hour.
Voice Log of Dr. Martin's expedition
0:00 - Dr. Martin and MTF 1 & 2 walk off of the road and towards the empty farm field. Nothing that hasn't been seen before.
0:45 - Heading towards what looks like the top of a hill. Hill is barren, unsurprisingly. Maybe we'll get a better look around from a high point.
0:50 - Incredible! It completely loops back around! Looking across the hill, is ourselves. It appears that the entire dimension is actually really small in terms of width. Could this be in fact a type of worm hole? More research has to be required. Heading back to the taxi now.
0:55 - Hearing strange sounds. Sounds can be described as a bellow. The fog is starting to get heavy. Immediate extraction is critical now.
1:00 - We made it back to the taxi. Just as we got in, the bellowing got louder. the fog is almost impossible to see, except for around the taxi. SCP- I mean, David, stomped on the brake.
SCP-5129-A no longer works for his previous employer, and has not been seen by the foundation since 10/25/03. SCP-5129-B is in foundation custody and is still fully operational. However, getting the taxi to operate to its anomalous effects beyond the planet has been deemed difficult. More testing is required. SCP-5129-C is still being theorized, but is considered to be a wormhole capable of housing an environment inside it.
