Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently stored at Site-81 within a high security vault. Future experimentation with SCP-XXXX can only be approved by no fewer than four Level 4 personnel. Any individual who wishes to utilize SCP-XXXX without prior approval is to be detained, questioned, and administered Class B amnestics. If undergoing transfer to a new containment unit, it should be made clear that under no circumstance should SCP-XXXX be applied to human skin.

Instances of SCP-XXXX-2, specifically SCPXXXX-2D must be terminated on sight. It is currently unknown how many are still left after initial recovery of SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a small ink stamp, made of yellow polypropylene plastic, 7.62 cm in height and 5 cm in width, adorned with a circular tab with a sticker identifying the design of the stamp, this being a generic smiling face with the phrase “Good Job!” printed above it.

Initial testing has revealed that the ink pad cannot be removed by any means from the end cap. The ink pad has also been confirmed to never dry out, even in a vacuum environment. Testing of this ink without the stamp, has proven to be non anomalous. Testing the stamp with other ink pads have also proven to cause no anomalous behaviors.

Only when the stamp is coated by the ink on the cap and applied on living human skin, the ink would start to seep deep into the epidermis and relocate itself where it could not be seen, often in a manner as if it were fading away. Those who have been marked by SCP-XXXX will become the host of SCP-XXXX-1, budding from their back after suffering a nightmare involving SCP-XXXX-1. If not treated before two minutes of exposure, a LASER tattoo removal device would be the only means of erasing the mark.(See Initial test Logs)

SCP-XXXX-2 is the identification given to four possible entities that may manifest themselves on victims other than the initial host's skin one minute after hearing the screams emmited by SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-2 are identified as SCP-XXXX-2A, SCP-XXXX-2B, SCP-XXXX-2C, and SCP-XXXX-2D.

SCP-XXXX-1

SCP-XXXX-1 is a small emaciated flesh creature, measuring at 0.5 meters in height, made of human flesh, suffering from goosebumps. It’s circular disk shaped head is devoid of any facial features, except for a massive mouth that resembles a dilated esophageal sphincter. The entity will first manifest itself after a subject that has been stamped by SCP-XXXX falls asleep and enters REM sleep. SCP-XXXX-1 will then appear within the subjects dream.

Contents of this dream vary, however all are described by various test subjects as a vivid nightmare. It is described that SCP-XXXX-1 would later present itself to the subject screaming with a distorted howl. SCP-XXXX-1 would then charge at the subject, moving by vibrating it’s entire stiff body.

Only after SCP-XXXX-1 is face to face with the subject will this nightmare end and they wake up traumatized and in a cold sweat. Exactly one minute after awakening, SCP-XXXX-1 will begin to manifest itself on the subject's back by extruding itself through their skin and budding off, leaving behind a second-degree abrasion. SCP-XXXX-1 would begin to move around just as described in the dream, only stopping when it begins screaming at 146 decibels.

One of four instances of SCP-XXXX-2 will begin to manifest themselves within a minute after initially listening to the scream in the same manner as SCP-XXXX-1 on any humans within 1.6 kilometers of SCP-XXXX-1, where it’s scream can still be registered at 81 decibels. Distances beyond 1.6 kilometers have been deemed safe. Individuals who are either def or have ear protection where the scream is either muffled or completely canceled will not suffer from SCP-XXXX-2 manifestations. SCP-XXXX-1 is susceptible to any form of damage but termination only occurs if it’s neck is snapped or head is decapitated. (Autopsy reports available in Initial test Logs)

SCP-XXXX-2A

SCP-XXXX-2A Appears on a subject’s skin, only on the forearms, biceps, thighs, torso, neck, or stomach as a poorly drawn Oni, a demon from Japanese culture, in one of various recorded poses. After manifestation, the depicted Oni will begin to extrude itself from the back of the subject, growing hair, eyes, teeth and other features in the process. These entities, after budding from their host’s skin, will then attack and consume them, after which it will grow in size.

SCP-XXXX-2A will then proceed to hobble it’s way towards SCP-XXXX-1 to protect it. It will continue consuming flesh from any living organism. After reaching a critical mass, it will merge/fuse with other instances of SCP-XXXX-2A, forming a massive seven meter tall abomination. During the recovery effort, only three were able to form and were found escorting SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-2A is susceptible to any form of damage.

SCP-XXXX-2B

SCP-XXXX-2B Appears only on the biceps, torso, neck, head, or stomach as a poorly drawn fire breathing, winged Chinese dragon, curled in the shape of an “S”. After manifestation, the depicted dragon will begin to extrude itself from the back of the subject, developing a more lifelike appearance, then budding off as a fully formed dragon capable of breathing fire, and flight.

SCP-XXXX-2B will then proceed to torch their host, and drag them towards SCP-XXXX-2A for consumption. SCP-XXXX-2B would later take to the sky and act as an aerial guard and lookout. SCP-XXXX-2B is listed to be more dangerous than any other SCP-XXXX-2 instance as it is has a much higher occurrence rate during an SCP-XXXX-1 event.

SCP-XXXX-2C

SCP-XXXX-2C are the manifestations of preexisting tattoos on a subject. If a subject has tattoos depicting any type of creature, humanoid, human or other, these will proceed to [REDACTED] leaving the skin [REDACTED]. Only skeletal remains of the subjects are left behind.

SCP-XXXX-2C will actively seek out more victims for SCP-XXXX-1, leading the ever growing horde of SCP-XXXX-2 instances. SCP-XXXX2C's skin is also much more resilient, but only depending on the quality of the tattoo they originated from. Aside from taking some of the properties of the depicted beings or creatures, no other anomalous features are present.

SCP-XXXX-2D

SCP-XXXX-2D is a similar entity to that of SCP-XXXX-1 in terms of appearance, with the exception of having proper, although deformed, anatomically similar human limbs. SCP-XXXX-2D will always manifest on a subject’s back. SCP-XXXX-2D is drawn to SCP-XXXX by unknown means, and will actively seek it out. It will then try by any means to retrieve it and store it within its body. SCP-XXXX-2D has the ability to flatten itself up to 18 µm in order to slip through any crevice that may separate it from SCP-XXXX. It has also shown immense amounts of durability, as it once tried to force itself through a reinforced concrete wall by vibrating at an intense frequency, leaving behind a neat cut out of its silhouette as it passed through. SCP-XXXX-2D may only be terminated by decapitation. SCP-XXXX-2D also displays a high level of intelligence, as shown when trying to evade capture or even harm by morphing itself as thin as possible, and disappearing from sight due to its width as well as evading detection as it tries to retrieve SCP-XXXX. If SCP-XXXX-2D successfully retrieves SCP-XXXX, it is theorized that it will try to summon SCP-XXXX-1 once more by finding a new host.

Notes: If an SCP-XXXX-1 Event occurs and is left unchecked, populations of SCP-XXXX-2 can exponentially grow out of control as SCP-XXXX-2B and SCP-XXXX-2C will find ways of acquiring more hosts to manifest instances of SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2. It has been documented that SCP-XXXX-2 instances will some times reserve victims in order to spawn even more SCP-XXXX-2 entities every time they go to sleep.

**RECOVERY**

The following information is also part of Event Log XXXX-Quad Force.

SCP-XXXX was retrieved after an SCP-XXXX-1 event occurred on a small secluded town of about five-thousand people, in the back country of ███████████, Argentina, on ██/██/20██. Radio transmissions and other communications were intercepted by foundation personnel in the region at around 21:00 hours, regarding an attack of a horrific screaming beast and monsters that were killing people in droves. At 21:03 hours, a detachment of Mobile Task Force Epsilon-6, "Village Idiots", was dispatched to confront the situation. At around 21:15 hours, MTF Epsilon-6 came in to contact with instances of SCP-XXXX-2C, which immediately attacked them.

The entities, while susceptible to small arms fire, did not go down easily. It was then discovered that quick termination was more feasible after one ignited after being coated in fuel. The assistance of Mobile Task Force Epsilon-9, "Fire Eaters", was called in for support. As the two task force detachments arrived at ███████████, they were met with SCP-XXXX-2B entities, which swooped down while breathing fire. Three agents were wounded by flames, and one suffered a fractured leg injury when an SCP-XXXX-2B instance tried to fly away with the agent in its grasps. It was when both MTF detachments reached the 1.8 km marker to enter the small town did the sound SCP-XXXX-1 was detected. Not wanting to risk falling under the effects of a potential auditory cognitohazard or sound based anomaly, a detachment of Mobile Task Force Eta-11, "Savage Beasts", was also called in, as well as additional auditory protection for the on site MTF detachments.

At 22:30 hours, MTF Eta-11 arrived, along with the provisional auditory protection. All three MTF group detachments entered the town and were met with hundreds of entities roaming the streets. One survivor was seen running away from an SCP-XXXX-2A instance and four other SCP-XXXX-2C instances. The individual was promptly rescued and interrogated. The survivor later stated that after the horrific scream that, to this moment has not stopped, a tattoo of a “demon” appeared on his left thigh. A minute later, his back began to bulge and a SCP-XXXX-2A instance came out. He escaped with his life but others in his family were not so lucky. MTF Eta-11 units requested for the entire border of the town to be cordoned off with heavy weaponry. Additional reinforcements were also called in as the number of SCP-XXXX-2 entities kept growing the closer they got to the town center where the loud screaming was emanating from.

The fighting continued on up until 23:45 hours when SCP-XXXX-1 and giant versions of SCP-XXXX-2A were located. Four flame thrower equipped HMMWV units were allocated to dispatch the giants. As one of the SCP-XXXX-2A giants fell, it landed on SCP-XXXX-1, muffling its scream. By 00:03 hours, SCP-XXXX-1 was uncovered and had to be terminated on the spot. It’s corpse was retrieved and placed within one of the HMMWV units.

At around 00:15 hours, an SCP-XXXX-2D entity was spotted by the guarding force outside of the town. Believing it was an SCP-XXXX-1 instance, heavy weaponry was unleashed upon it. SCP-XXXX-2D was crippled and unable to vibrate. A successful retrieval was accomplished. After showing its abilities of escape, it could not properly slip through its containment unit due to SCP-XXXX being inside of it. Both entities were sent to Site-81 for examination.

After the SCP-XXXX-1 event, the population of over five-thousand was reduced to only fifty (50). Mobile Task Force Gamma-5 had to be dispatched in order to cover up the reports of the massive loss of life after several transmission were made public by deceased citizens during the attack. As of ██/██/20██, the existence of this village has become but a faded rumor. As of ██/██/20██, demolition crews have also managed to properly erase ██% of the town. Survivors were sent to Site-81 for study of the markings that appeared on their bodies as well as attempts to remove them.

+ Addendum XXXX-2-01A

Addendum XXXX-2-01A: Autopsy reports for SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 instances.

The retrieved corpses of SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 instances reveal that the outer skin is composed of human flesh. DNA testing of the flesh confirms that it once belonged to the individuals that hosted their manifestation. SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 bodies also revealed that, depending on the complexity of the tattoo, the skin became even more resilient, with instances of SCP-XXXX-2C being the toughest of them, second only to SCP-XXXX-2D, which exhibited an ability to secrete a layer of black fluid, which could protect it from heavy concussive blasts to a certain degree.

Internal organs are present, but do not match any known organ in the human body, with the exception of a heart that pumped a black, ink like liquid, similar to the one found on SCP-XXXX. While bones are present on SCP-XXXX-2A, SCP-XXXX-2B, and SCP-XXXX-2C, SCP-XXXX-2D does not have any bones to speak of, relying mostly on elastic sacks of the black liquid, and another internal sack that is used to safely house SCP-XXXX.

Deaths of SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2D were only caused by decapitation. With SCP-XXXX-1 also being terminated by simply bending its neck in a 90 degree angle until it snaps.

The black “blood” of SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 entities allow for their quick recovery. However, loss of this liquid may lead to the entity deflating, upon which it will quickly retreat, and recover it’s fluids by an SCP-XXXX-2A instance by means of it’s spit.

Test “XXXX-Alpha1” ██/██/20██

Test Overseen by Researcher Dr. █████.

Subject(s): One D-Class personnel (D-51339) and SCP-XXXX.

Procedure: D-51339 would be stamped by SCP-XXXX while within a sound proof testing chamber with provisional bed.

Result: After being stamped on the back of the left hand, no immediate effects were noted. Only after D-51339 had entered REM sleep, did an SCP-XXX-1 event take place. D-51339 began to sweat profusely, all the while thrashing in their bed in distress. One minute after awakening, D-51339's back began to bulge, taking the shape of SCP-XXXX-1. After forming, SCP-XXXX-1 budded from D-51339, leaving behind a second-degree abrasion. SCP-XXXX-1 would begin to scream, D-51339 could be seen clapping both hands over the ears. Visual instructions were given to D-51339 to snap SCP-XXXX-1’s neck. Termination attempt was successful. Six hours later, D-51339 went back to sleep and SCP-XXXX-1 reemerged, harming D-51339's back skin even further. Termination was attempted once more with success.

Analysis: Even after manifestation, SCP-XXXX-1 would reappear from the marked subject. Attempt of removal was rendered impossible as the ink had seeped deep in the the subject’s skin. LASER removal was requested.

Notes: After the marking was properly removed by a LASER procedure, nightmares involving SCP-XXXX-1, and its manifestation ceased. Future testing with lucid dreaming with D-51339 is requested. -Dr. █████

Test “XXXX-Beta-Sueño” ██/██/20██

Test Overseen by Researcher Dr. █████.

Subject(s): D-51339 and SCP-XXXX (SCP-XXXX-1)

Procedure: Subject D-51339 has been trained in lucid dreaming in preparation to confront SCP-XXXX-1. After proper training was complete, D-51339 would be stamped once more with SCP-XXXX and then induced in to REM sleep.

Result: Monitoring of D-51339 during REM sleep showed that D-51339 was under distress though sweating has been reduced significantly. After awakening, D-51339 would write the events on his dreaming journal. One minute after being awakened, SCP-XXXX-1 did not manifest.

Analysis: D-51339 had described that in the dream, D-51339 had managed to confront SCP-XXXX-1 and snap it’s neck, after which D-51339 was awakened.

Notes: Testing was a complete success. D-51339 has successfully managed to fight off SCP-XXXX-1. Removal procedure of the marking was done immediately after D-51339 was removed from the testing chambers. -Dr. █████

Test “XXXX-2-1Abra” ██/██/20██

Test Overseen by Researcher Dr. █████.

Subject(s): Four subjects that were found with SCP-XXXX-2 instances (A, B, and D).

Procedure: Recovered individuals that survived an emerging SCP-XXXX-2 instance, each with one of the four of the SCP-XXXX-2 markings (with exception of SCP-XXXX-2C) were placed within testing containment units with beds and induced in to REM sleep. Three heavily armed guards were placed in each testing chamber. Protective hearing equipment was supplied to each test subject in the case of live fire.

Result: After REM was induced, subjects were seen to be under distress, and sweating profusely. One minute after awakening, the respective instance of SCP-XXXX-2 emerged from the backs of the test subjects. Capture of each instance was successful.

Analysis: Instances of SCP-XXXX-2B and SCP-XXXX-2D had to be disabled by flames and heavy AP rounds in order to cripple them enough for proper containment. SCP-XXXX-2A only had to be entrapped by an electrified net for capture. SCP-XXXX-2D attempted to escape using its ability to flatten itself, but fire from two heavy machine guns firing 0.50 Cal BMG rounds at point blank range managed to pierce it's skin, severing it's legs.

Test “XXXX-2-2 Cierra” ██/██/20██

Test Overseen by Researcher Dr. █████.

Subject(s): Four subjects that were found with SCP-XXXX-2 instances (A, B, and D).

Procedure: Recovered individuals that survived an emerging SCP-XXXX-2 instance, were each given a LASER tattoo removal procedure to erase the anomalous marking.

Result: After the mark was removed, subjects were induced in to REM sleep. After 8 hours of normal sleep patterns, no recurrence of SCP-XXXX-2 instances were created.

Analysis: Secondary appearances of Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 from surviving SCP-XXXX-2 attacks can be completely avoided if subjects afflicted are treated in time or if subject can find a way to remove the patch of skin where the SCP-XXXX-2 instance marking is located.

Notes: Testing was successful. Orders were given that all subjects with SCP-XXXX-2 markings must undergo LASER removal procedures. -Dr. █████

Test “XXXX-2-3 Muerte” ██/██/20██

Test Overseen by Researcher Dr. █████.

Subject(s): Two (2) D-Class personnel awaiting termination, D-51335 & D-455. D-455 is heavily tattooed. SCP-XXXX (SCP-XXXX-1).

Procedure: D-51335 and D-455 were enclosed within a soundproof room with D-51335 being marked by SCP-XXXX. Subjects were to remain within the chamber until SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2C manifests.

Result: Once SCP-XXXX-1 manifested from D-51335's back it began to scream. Visual instructions were given to terminate SCP-XXXX-1. Both D-Class proceeded to beat SCP-XXXX-1 to a blackened bloody mess and decapitated it instead of the instructed spinal split procedure. One minute after exposure to the scream, D-455 began to [REDACTED]. D-51335 could be seen barricading behind one of the supplied beds.

Moments later, D-455 began to [REDACTED], after which SCP-XXXX-2C and an unforeseen SCP-XXXX-2D emerged from the corpse. Up to ten instances of SCP-XXXX-2C were manifested which proceeded to attack D-51335. SCP-XXXX-2D began vibrating and started to bore through the test chamber. Installed incendiary devices were detonated, destroying all SCP-XXXX-2C instances but SCP-XXXX-2D kept coming through. SCP-XXXX-2D managed to escape containment and began to make a dash towards SCP-XXXX’s location. Containment breach protocols were enacted.

Analysis: It would seem that SCP-XXXX-2D instances will manifest if there are no other victims that have been affected by SCP-XXXX-1’s scream. Subjects that suffer from SCP-XXXX-2C instances are [REDACTED].

Notes: Never again will any one with preexisting tattoos and or pair of test subjects will be allowed to be used in future SCP-XXXX testing. The gruesome deaths are one thing, but risking containment breach of multiple contained SCP’s due to SCP-XXXX-2D’s boreing capabilities is a confirmed facility endangering hazard. -Dr. █████
