SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES: Due to SCP-6942’s location and nature, physical means of containment is currently impossible. Implanted Foundation agents in major observatories are to contain footage or images of SCP-6942. An ongoing misinformation campaign is in effect, which has thus far been able to completely supress any knowledge pretaining to SCP-6942 from public awareness.

Foundation satellites in sun orbit near the Kuiper Belt are to maintain constant vigilance of SCP-6942’s ‘Entities’. Any transmissions that are intercepted by Foundation satellites are to be decoded and logged. In the event SCP-6942’s ‘Entities’ attacks all of humanity, Protocol 6942-X must be initiated.

Every EBS (Emergency Broadcast System) must be broadcasted across the world. EBS must contain information on how to survive this attack. All Foundation Sites must initiate Protocol 7283-Z and Site Lockdown. Every OTF Team (Orbital Task Force) will be on high alert for any hostile entities crossing the Kuiper Belt. Once the attack is over, Class-C Amnestic Agents must be carried out to every shelter and bunker across the world.

DESCRIPTION: SCP-6942 (A.K.A Kepler-452b) is an exoplanet orbiting the Sun-like star Kepler-452 about 1,402 light-years (430 pc) from Earth in the constellation Cygnus. It was identified by the ███ space telescope, and its discovery was announced by ██ on 23 July 2015. The misinformation campaign has informed the public of SCP-6942 that it has not been proven to exist and must still be considered a candidate.

SCP-6942 mass is 5 times the Earth’s mass and it increases the possibility that the planet is a mini-Nepture instead of a super-Earth. It is the first potentially rocky super-Earth planet discovered orbiting within the habitable zone of a star very similar to the Sun.

Foundation satellites has observed SCP-6942 to have life due to glowing land at the dark side of the planet but no glowing land at the light side, but for this theory to be true Foundation observation centers have to keep on observing SCP-6942.
