Special Containment Procedures: SCP-#### Is to be stored in a standard containment cell, about 5m by 5m by 5m, housed in a .2 in diameter custom coin display, Built into this display, the coin should be able to rotate 360 degrees in any axis. A Skylight with external door controls should also be included for testing purposes.
SCP-#### is a silver coin about the size of a silver dollar, one face is stamped in the image of a sun, while the other face in the image of a moon these images will shrink and grow depending on how close the astral body is to the earth, and they will change position around the coin depending on their astral body's current position. The coin has been seen to defy gravity and hover at strange angles to align the images. The coin is made of an unknown material, with a density of about [Data expunged]. SCP-#### still only weighs 26 grams, SCP-#### doesn't have any other anomalous effects unless exposed to moonlight or sunlight, if exposed to *moonlight, SCP-#### will become capable of generating its own localized gravity field, with a radius of 3 meters. The strange thing about this field though is that it will pull(or push) anything in it in the direction that the Moon-stamped side of the coin is facing, with about 1.5 G's of force, (the coin itself is not effected by this field.) When the star side of the coin is exposed to sunlight, the coin will start to hover 3 meters off the ground and rotate, at a speed of (data redacted) continued exposure will cause the coin to start picking up Debris, eventual forming a sphere about 1.5 meters in diameter. If sunlight is still provided, then a small (about 73mm) orb will begin orbiting the planetoid. If water somehow comes into contact then moss and other plants will grow to resemble a tiny earth, though without any fauna.
Addendum-A: A recent experiment of placing the coin under a lunar eclipse yielded staggering power surges, the 3m sphere turned to a blue sphere with a similar shaft stretching into the sky. All probes and remote electronics sent into it lost contact, after the Eclipse passed, the devices were found sitting in a freshly made crater, the equipment was lightly damaged , likely from blunt force trauma. The ground was slightly depressed in the effected area and was covered in a fine white dust, along with a few stray rocks of the same color, likely the cause of the damage to equipment. Anomalous testing on these rocks is ongoing(See addendum-C), but they have been showing some strange readings on multiple scales especially infrared. Scans of the dust show similar chemical compounds to other rocks originate from the moon, though it's composition contains a much higher water concentration then what could ever be observed on the moon's surface. Addendum-B: Discovery: It was originally discovered in July 20, 1969 on the first moon landing where it was found sitting directly under the Eagle lander's main thruster. It was taken by Buzz Aldrin back to NASA where, once the moon struck the coin, and its effects observed, it was promptly delivered to the foundation.
Addendum-C: The stones recovered from the lunar eclipse were discovered to have a symbol drawn on them, only visible in infrared imaging, the symbol closely resembles the ancient Sumerian symbol Kur, meaning land or underworld from 2800 B.C. Another two rocks shown nehaa hehugun (May you rest in peace) and usha hehungun (may you rest in death) Further testing shows extreme density, despite their size being about 15 cm at largest. It is determined that they are made of the same material as the coin itself. Tests for the use of this material is ongoing
