Special Containment Procedures: Outpost-████ has been constructed around the area of SCP-XXXX-2 under the guise as a military training camp. Any personnel showing effects of SCP-XXXX are to be apprehended and submitted with class-B amnesics as per protocol (See addendum SCP-XXXX-B). Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX-1, Suppression Unit ████-Juliet has been created to locate and redact instances of SCP-XXXX-1.
Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is a photo of Greek ruins, particularly a type of Colosseum, that when viewed by any means (Google Images, Photograph, Screensaver, Etc.) influences the viewer with a sense of awe or inspiration, which gradually grows on the viewer until they desperately wish to see the site, found in ████, Greece. From this point, the viewer is referred to SCP-XXXX-1A. The destination they will attempt to reach is a flat, barren patch of land, designated SCP-XXXX-2.
Instances of SCP-XXXX-1A have been documented using any means possible to reach their destination, with one instance even managing to swim [REDACTED] kilometers across the Atlantic Ocean. Upon reaching their destination, SCP-XXXX-1A will appear to be amazed by the site and attempt to approach the site. Upon stepping on the area designated as SCP-XXXX-2, the subject will start to vanish, subject will most likely remark that it looks like [REDACTED].
SCP-XXXX was notified to the Foundation when areas such as ██████, America noted rates of immigration that was not consistent with immigration rates in the past. Investigation on the subject led to the discovery of SCP-XXXX and its properties.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX-A
An instance of SCP-XXXX-1A was recorded making its way to the site when it tripped and hit its head on a sizable rock. Event was not lethal, but subject was recorded having symptoms of a concussion and a sense of amnesia. Suddenly, subject sat up with a look of distress and said "Why the hell am I in the middle of nowhere? How far am I from my house!?" subject was apprehended and questioned by units of a retrieval squad and had shown no memory of SCP-XXXX and had no desire to see it. Subject was relocated to his home in █████, Ireland.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX-B
D-9627 was exposed to an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 and was shown to have been effected Immediately. Subject was then given a dose of Class-B amnesics and had shown no effect of SCP-XXXX-1 anymore.
Notes: It seems that the effects of SCP-XXXX-1 can be countered if the subject loses memory of the interaction. However, due to the fact that instances of SCP-XXXX-1 keep appearing everywhere, and that we don't know who's affected until they come to the site, we cannot classify this SCP as Neutralized.
