SCP-XXXX
Special Containment Procedures: The land containing SCP-XXXX has been purchased by the Foundation and at least one guard should be in the area at all times. Coolers installed into the pool containing SCP-XXXX should be kept at a maximum temperature of 0 degrees Celsius. In the event of these coolers breaking down for any reason, SCP-[REDACTED], contained nearby, should be immediately introduced to SCP-XXXX. After around 4 months of SCP-XXXX-1 living inside a host, a new possible D-Class host should be introduced to SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 2 metre by 2 metre area in a pool contained in the holiday resort of [REDACTED], England. SCP-XXXX was discovered after the death of a seventeen-year-old in the resort. After inspection of the deceased body, two litres of sulfuric acid was found in the victim's lungs, and approximately six hundred grams of Copper Fluoride had grown in and on the brain. Doctor [REDACTED], currently doing a part-time shift at the victim's hospital, brought SCP-XXXX to the intention of the Foundation.

SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects begin when the water reaches a temperature of 19 degrees Celsius or more. All water in the area will spontaneously evaporate. None of the non-anomalous water in the pool will fill the space of the evaporated SCP-XXXX-1, creating an area in which matter will not enter.

After grouping together in the air to form a small cloud, the SCP is henceforth known as SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 travels at unpredictable rates, with such speeds as nine metres per second being recorded. The SCP will head towards the nearest mammal in a roughly 220 metre radius. If no mammal is in this range, SCP-XXXX-1 will permanently increase its search radius, albeit traveling at about half the speed when in an unfamiliar zone.

After reaching a mammal, SCP-XXXX-1 will become stagnant air, in order to be breathed in. After entering the mammal, the SCP remains as oxygen until reaching the lungs, at which point SCP-XXXX-1 will always become an acid of pH 1 to 5. From this point onwards, the SCP appears to 'feed' off of the lungs, slowly dissolving them to fuel its movement. After completely dissolving the lungs, SCP-XXXX-1 will travel to other major organs, usually the liver and pancreas. The process of dissolving most of the subject's major organs usually takes around four months. After the four month mark, SCP-XXXX-1 will 'climb' the walls of the body in order to reach the subject's brain. Instead of dissolving this like other organs, once the acid reaches the brain, it spontaneously transforms into a metal-Fluoride crystal compound.

If the brain has already died before SCP-XXXX-1 reached it,
the metal-Fluoride crystals will release an unknown gas, which 'restarts' the brain over eight hours. After this, SCP-XXXX-1 appears to have control over the subject's actions.
The subject will use the fastest possible mode of travel to get back to the pool containing SCP-XXXX. At this point, SCP-XXXX will spontaneously refill with water, in which the subject attempts to drown themselves. No amount of force will drag the subject from their position. After the subject has dunked roughly 80% of their head into SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX will spontaneously become an acid of pH 1, swiftly dissolving the head and the rest of the body, killing the host.

After killing the current host, SCP-XXXX has a 'digestion' period of 108 hours, after which SCP-XXXX-1 will form again and search for a new host.
