SCP-4724
Object Class: Euclid
Containment Procedures:
SCP-4724 Is to be kept in a 12x12x12 inch double locked reinforced steel chest, opened by the designated senior researcher and assistant researcher. SCP-4724, when being utilized, is to be attached to the designated water valve in room [REDACTED], which is a 2-inch reinforced steel 4x4x10 chamber housing a water valve, and a drain pipe (with remote switch for draining/plugging), connected to an observation room hidden behind a one-way acid-proof mirror. D-class janitorial staff, donning HAZMAT suits, are to be used to sterilize this chamber after each controlled test, all remains are to be cremated. If SCP-4724 is attached to any other water valve, a site lockdown and evacuation of the immediate area is to take effect. D-class personnel are to be sent in to remove the shower head, and anyone that shows signs of SCP-2474’s effects are to be terminated. This liquid does not evaporate unless in contact with living matter; therefore, freshly skinned cow hides are to be used to vaporize the liquid, and D-class janitorial staff will be sent in to sterilize the contaminated area.
SCP-4724-W
SCP-4724-W is to be kept in a large, steel bin with wheels and a locked lid. One bin is required for each controlled test, and each test’s contents are to be kept separate from others. These bins are locked by assigned assistant researchers and stored in the designated storage area. These bins, after locked, are to be opened only by senior researchers. Instances of SCP-4724-W that have been extensively tested are to be cremated and properly disposed of as standard biohazardous waste at the discretion of the lead researcher.
SCP-4724-F
Any instances of SCP-4724F found outside of their designated area is to be terminated. In cases of termination, SCP-4724-F are to by replaced by D-class Personnel, assuming the associated SCP-4724-1 has not also been terminated following a containment breach.
SCP-4724-1A, SCP-4724-1B, SCP-4724-1C
Each separate instance of SCP-4725-1 is to be kept in a standard sized bedroom with 6-inch reinforced steel surrounding all six sides. A single reinforced steel door shall be the only exit point into these rooms, with a small, secure sliding steel hatch on this door used to feed instances of SCP-4724-F. Appropriate Accommodations are to be made based off SCP-4724-1’s perceived human age. These rooms shall be connected to a quarter-mile long hallway. This hallway will house several high-temperature flame cannons, for the purpose of cremation. Any instances of SCP-4724-1 found outside of their rooms are to be immediately terminated in this hallway via cremation. Any instances of SCP-4724-F, and any personnel inside this hallway during a containment breach are to be cremated alongside the breaching entity, for the safety site [REDACTED]. There will only be one exit into this hallway, which will be secured by a rolling 6-inch reinforced steel gateway. Access is to be controlled by no less than two on-site security personnel, equipped with a heavy lifting exoskeleton, used to aid in the carry and utilization of a high-temperature flame cannon. Standard flame throwers have been tested and proven to not reach temperatures high enough to terminate SCP-4724-1.
Description:
SCP-4274 is a decorated brass shower head of no known make or era. When attached to a standard water valve, even if the valve is shut off, SCP-4274 will begin to emit a water-like liquid comprised of unknown periodic elements. This liquid has been noted by control test subjects to be the “absolute perfect showering temperature.” Any person that comes into contact with even a drop of this unknown liquid will begin craving a shower using SCP-4274. Tests involving a standard shower show that those under SCP-4274’s effects are only satiated by using SCP-4724. All tested amnestic chemicals have not been able to rid victims of their urge. Affected humans are intensely violent when not using SCP-4724 and will harm surrounding personnel until they are allowed to use SCP-4724, are terminated or self-terminate. Tests with a temperature gun on the liquid from the observation room show temperatures exceeding [REDACTED], far above a temperature suitable for human life. Tests comparing this temperature with normal water is not possible, as water evaporates at this extreme temperature. This unknown liquid vaporizes upon contact with subjects, leaving no trace. This liquid does not vaporize unless it comes into contact with organic matter. Animal testing is inconclusive at this time, though senior researcher [REDACTED] implemented the use of fresh cow hides to evaporate instances of SCP-4274-liquid found outside of controlled testing. This liquid evaporates accordingly when in contact with live animals; however, animals do not deteriorate or show any signs of aggression. See addendum [DATA EXPUNGED] on how the foundation came into possession of this object.
A timetable for the long-term effects of using SCP-4724, labeled T-4274 have not deviated from multiple extensive controlled tests and are as follows:
1. At 5 minutes, subject will appear completely clean, with no visible contaminants observed on the skin, no matter how visibly soiled this subject was before entering the shower.
2. At 30 minutes, subject will enter a near comatose state and lay or sit down under the running liquid. Facial expressions indicate a euphoric state of mind within subjects.
3. At 1 hour, the skin will begin sloughing off, followed by exposed parts of the body. All materials not human in nature are not affected. Therefore, clothes, instruments, and mobile camera feeds are left behind.
4. At 1:30 hours, subject is confirmed dead via remote life support monitor.
5. At 3 hours, only the skeleton of the subject, and the human waste slurry remains. The resulting slurry is labeled SCP-4274-W and drainage is to be collected following the listed protocol.
6. At 3:30 hours, two instances will have occurred:
A. If the drainpipe is plugged, and the mix of human remains is allowed to remain, an instance of SCP-4274-1A can be found inside of the ribcage of the subject’s skeleton. SCP-4274-1A shows characteristics of a newborn infant in outward appearance, aside from a lengthened abdomen. Due to the seemingly supernatural opaque nature of this slurry, no forms of observation have been able to view the “gestation” of these entities.
B. If the drainpipe is set to drain during the controlled test, and this slurry drains while the subject is dissolving, SCP-4274-1A does not appear, which indicates this slurry is vital to the “gestation” of SCP-4274-1A.
SCP-4274-1A is an infantile entity closely resembling that of a human in outward appearance. On the inside, however, make up is vastly different. SCP-4274-1 has an extra pair of ribs. SCP-4724-1A does not have lungs, which has been replaced by a single, large heart, slightly flattened, likely to help the outward appearance remain human-like. SCP-4274-1A does not contain a tongue, rather a tube with a sphincter connected to another organ located just above the heart that resembles a spleen. This 1.5/inch thick, extremely tough organ that produces the needle-like, boney projectiles SCP-4274-1A uses to turn humans into instances of SCP-4274-F. This Tube squeezes tightly around one of these needles, launching them into the eye socket of a human. This Needle then burrows into the skull and attaches itself to one of the main cerebral arteries over the course of 10 minutes, leaving the eye-socket open. SCP-4274-1A also contains a set of sharp hooks hidden underneath each fingernail close in size to the claw of a common housecat. These hooks remain retracted until SCP-4274-1A reaches the perceived human age of 6, whereupon these entities gain full use. When not threatened, and not actively feeding, these instances are not easily distinguishable from a human, potentially aiding their ability to blend in with our species.
During periods of hunger, instances of SCP-4274-1A will become agitated and begin hissing. This is remedied by letting them attach to the head of SCP-4274-F, feeding on human blood from the exposed eye socket. If instances of SCP-4274-1A are not fed during this phase, they will seek out another host to turn into an instance of SCP-4724-F. If no humans are available, the entity will enter a state of hibernation until a human comes within range of their needles. It is inconclusive at this time wether they prefer to have one host, or rather, they do not mind feeding on the same host continuously.
Instances of SCP-4274-1A do age. This aging process, however, is severely slowed compared to that of a normal human. Senior researcher [REDACTED] has proposed that these entities age at about the rate of 7 human years to 1 entity years. All instances currently in containment follow this logic thus far.
SCP-2474-1 are hyper-intelligent, though no current research has been able to theorize the extent of their intellect. SCP-4724-1 share a telepathic relationship with victims they convert into instances of SCP-4274-F. Instances of SCP-4274-F are self-aware and conscious. They retain their human nature from pre-conversion and can be engaged normally; however, they will feel compelled to obey whatever is instructed of them by SCP-4274-1. Instances of SCP-4274-F expire alongside instances of SCP-4274-1 when instances of SCP-4274-1 are terminated. It is unknown at this time how many instances of SCP-4274-F an SCP-4274-1 can control at any given time. See addendum [REDACTED] for further information on the controlling nature of this entity.
