Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a box of pure iron (which mutes its telepathic probing) with internal measurements of 27.6 x 8.1 x 4.3 cm. The walls of the box should be at least 10 cm thick in order to properly contain the telepathic probes. The box should have only one opening which can be easily and securely fastened from the outside. The iron box should be held within a reinforced concrete vault with interior dimensions precisely fitting the exterior of the box, and with wall thickness no thinner than 80 cm. The room containing the vault should be under constant video surveillance, and all entrances should be fitted with remotely operable blast doors in case an affected entity should manage to gain access to SCP-XXXX. No personnel should be allowed within a 15 meter radius of the concrete vault except in extreme circumstances, where expendable personnel should be used if at all possible.
Description:
SCP-XXXX's original form is a 25.6 x 6.1 x 2.3 cm bronze knife, double-sided and dagger-like in design. Blade is leaf-shaped, and very plain. SCP-XXXX changes shape, material, etc upon the subconscious desires of the wielder. Indestructible despite its current form/material. SCP-XXXX calls out telepathically to any sentient entity within 10 km (without shielding) to wield it. Affected entities will do anything in their power to reach the blade, up to and including serious bodily harm and/or death. When wielded by a sentient entity, the wielder's sense of morality is drastically reduced, pushing them to act upon their deepest desires. If the wielder's character is strong enough, and they do not act upon their homicidal urges, SCP-XXXX will turn into a white feather, and the psyche of the wielder will be reverted back to its original state. However, if the wielder's character is not strong enough, they will often succumb to their inherent homicidal tendencies. Once a wielder's kill count reaches seven, SCP-XXXX will physically bind itself to that entity, and change its form into a sphere of plasma, incinerating the wielder.
