Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-5173 is to be stored in Storage Unit-77 at Site 15, the current motherboard secured is to be frozen in Liquid Nitrogen to prevent the potential reconstruction of the main desktop. Annual repairs between 2-4 weeks are to be applied in the case of cracks on the board itself or main southbridge/northbridge. All memory cards are stored away in Storage Unit-██.
In the case of SCP-5173 having the ability to rebuild itself into SCP-5173-A, all PCI Slots and IDE connectors are to be either removed or shut down to prevent 5173 to connect to all network lines.
Description:
SCP-5173 is a 30.5 cm x 24.4 cm sentient ATX motherboard built by ASRock in 2002. The main motherboard comes from a Dell Desktop computer in which the motherboard had been modified by ████ ████████, the modifications that have been implemented were by the orders of Manager ████ ██████. Due to the attempt to make the Motherboard the most reliable for Dell, it has been able to bypass the shutdown of the main computer system, after 2 years of being stored away in ██████ High School library the device was soon located by Foundation personnel who have recovered it.
Due to the main computer itself being overheated after multiple attempts of trying to reconnect to Networks the motherboard has been carefully removed, the remaining parts of the desktop have been stored away in Unit-██. The board has been contained in a specialized unit with all network lines being modified to include a firewall to not allow any further attempts of connection and transferring.
