Special Containment Procedures: Although this SCP is not too dangerous to any human, it is nearly impossible to keep SCP-XXXX in a room for similar Euclid classed SCPs. SCP-XXXX must be kept in an area far from human life and should always have a form of strong light in the room. If any light goes off in the room, then an emergency light must be turned on immediately. This is to prevent the SCP from being able to escape. Plus, security cameras and guards from Level 3 upwards should keep watch on this SCP for a very long amount of time. There must not be any mirrors, so that SCP-XXXX cannot multiply itself and go out of side.
WARNING: What I am about to explain is quite long and hard to understand. Also, due to the unknowing of this SCP, what was said in the containment procedures will not make sense unless you read this description. Thank you.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a very odd creature due to the nature of itself. It is a large, black, and phantom-like being which roams all over the world. Even though this SCP is kept in containment at this moment in time, it is believed that the origin of this SCP is through the mind of the so-called 'creator'. This word is repeated all the time whenever SCP-XXXX is passive or in a state where he cannot move or react to anything that happens.
What is interesting about SCP-XXXX is how he works when he isn't in containment. If the light is off in the room it is in, then it will become partially visible forming a sort of shadow floating in the room. It's face is similar to that of SCP-049, in that it resemble a very long face with a large mouth and sharp teeth. It is mentioned that SCP-XXXX's eyes can change colour ranging from a bright yellow to a tinted gold and from light red to a deep black. Another thing that worries people about this SCP is that when it is not visible, it can be heard either walking behind you or opening doors or breathing in the cold, even though it is not seen. SCP-XXXX's actions cannot be seen as well, but only heard. Mirrors are a key to SCP-XXXX, because even in light, it can be seen very clearly and is very much heard. The way SCP-XXXX travels in pure sight and light is due to the fact that mirrors are the key to other dimensions of the world they are in. SCP-XXXX might not be with you in this world, but it could be doing something with you in another world.
If you dream or go into a state of meditation, but SCP-XXXX is there with you, then it will appear in your dreams and will turn everything around you into a world of darkness and loneliness. The idea of SCP-XXXX is that it has never gotten to be with anyone or has never gotten to be loved or seen by anything. In many famous pictures of people from many years ago, it is mentioned that some of them have faint additions of black into the paintings which are theorized to be SCP-XXXX. What really scares the public is that this SCP has been around for an extremely long time, but only now has it been captured. Famous artists from the years past (as I have already mentioned) have seen these things of black in their drawings and paintings of themselves, but now they have recorded seeing them in the corners of their eyes and even when they are working, they swear that they can hear them everywhere they go!
TV programs, films, videos from the internet (and even books!) have gotten into the knowledge of SCP-XXXX. If its presence is there, it will do what it can to get your attention or disrupt what you are doing. When you read books, the ink is what the creature goes for, so the ink in the book (or any book you read) will be warped and smudged in anyway to feed this SCP. People don't really know what SCP-XXXX really eats or feasts on, but this is the document that tells us all of this. Specifically, SCP-XXXX will go for anything that it can find that it likes. As said before, SCP-XXXX likes black ink, because the only fuel it needs is anything with a chemical formula that has C (Carbon) in it. Carbon is what makes most things black and this is what SCP-XXXX needs to live on.
