Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is kept in a standard 80 Litre Terrarium. The lid of this container is to be kept locked at all times, unless required for experimentation, due to the incident XXXX-A. SCP-XXXX is fed 1-2 Adult White Mice every once every 8-10 days, as well as it's bedding must be changed once every 30 days.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a Male Echis carinatus that measures 1 meter long in length. It displays a highly anomalous ability to regenerate from most wounds, and has recovered from injures as severe as it's head being lopped off from it's body during Incident XXXX-A. The speed at which SCP-XXXX can be compared to the regenerative ability found in SCP-682, although SCP-XXXX does not appear to have SCP-682's ability to modify it's body. Unlike other Echis Carinatus, SCP-XXXX's fangs do not inject a deadly toxin, but instead releases Anti-Bodies into those that it bites. While SCP-XXXX's bite is just as painful as that of any other, the Anti-Bodies that it releases cure almost any ailment that the one is bitten is currently ailing from.
To date SCP-XXXX has cured:

• A mild hangover from a night of heavily drinking
• A cold
• Dr. ███████'s athlete's foot.
• D-180384's Stage 2 Lung Cancer

It has been shown that while effective, the subject's Anti-Bodies do not allow for similar regeneration for those injected. A test was performed on D-163943, who had previously lost his right arm. Despite being exposed to SCP-XXXX, the subject's missing limb showed no sign of regeneration, although they did describe that their back pain had faded.

+ Incident XXXX-A

[On 03/26/20██ SCP-XXXX's containment lid was left unlatched, which SCP-XXXX used to escape it's enclosure. SCP-XXXX then made it's way to Dr. ███████'s office, where it was discovered it's head amputated from it's body by a fallen pair of Scissors. It took SCP-XXXX 7 minutes to fully regenerate a new body, in which it was returned back to it's enclosure. It was later discovered that D-189345 had used SCP-XXXX to cure a hangover from a night of drinking, and had left it's enclosure unlatched. D-189345 was forbidden from accessing SCP-XXXX, and was reassigned to other projects.]

Addendum: Personnel are no longer allowed to use SCP-XXXX's anti-bodies to cure minor ailments unless under strict supervision to prevent similar containment breaches. We are lucky that this incident did not result in SCP-XXXX's neutralization
